Kang Li arrived at the Jhiang’s home for Xuanxuan’s birthday party, encountering her father, Jiang Boya, and grandfather, Jiang Hongfa, who were visiting Elder Xi. Her children, including Guoguo and Ming Han, brought gifts for Xuanxuan, and Ming Han helped the birthday girl with her presents. Xuanxuan warmly welcomed everyone inside, where they were greeted by her mother, Luo Sichun.

To his surprise, Xi Jingyu laughed even louder, "Ming Han, haha... I tricked you, didn’t I? I’m not so petty as to fall out with a friend over something trivial!"

Hearing this, Ming Han rolled his eyes at Xi Jingyu.

"By the way, you and Aunt Kang came to my house today, surely you didn’t specifically come to see my grandpa, right?"

"Just passing by."

"Huh? What do you mean by that?"

"My younger brother and sister’s good friend lives in your compound. She’s having a birthday today and invited them to the party. I wasn’t sure about it, so I came along."

"Isn’t your sister Ming Wei? Who is she friends with in our compound?"

Xi Jingyu’s eyes were filled with curiosity.

"I don’t just have one sister." Ming Han raised an eyebrow and said, "Surely you don’t think I only have two brothers and a little sister, right?"

Before Xi Jingyu could respond, Ming Han continued, "Do you even know which one is your brother’s good friend in kindergarten? Or, before today, did you know my mom?"

"This is my first time meeting Aunt."

Xi Jingyu said, "But I’ve heard classmates at school mention that you, Ming Han, have a fairy-like mom."

"My mom has been to your house." Ming Han leaned back in his chair and said casually, "The day your brother invited my two brothers and little sister to your house to read, it was my mom who drove them to your compound."

"Guoguo? Your little sister’s name is Guoguo, right? And your two brothers, one is called Bun and the other Tangyuan, right?" Xi Jingyu suddenly recalled he had been hearing the names Guoguo, Bun, and Tangyuan at home quite often lately and asked Ming Han.

"Yeah."

Ming Han nodded and then smiled, "You must’ve heard it from your brother." He said it in a matter-of-fact tone.

"My brother is quite the little ice cube and doesn’t talk much. He’s never brought it up on his own. Every time it’s my grandpa asking him, and back and forth, they always mention Bun, Tangyuan, and Guoguo."

Speaking of this, Xi Jingyu chuckled and added, "Your brothers and little sister have such cute nicknames. If I’m not mistaken, Aunt must have given them those names, right?"

"Yes."

Ming Han nodded.

Xi Jingyu: "Are your two brothers and little sister really very clever?"

Ming Han: "What do you mean by that?"

Xi Jingyu: "Don’t get me wrong, it’s like this. My little brother, among the kids in our compound, is quite the genius. But my grandpa says his smarts don’t match up to Bun, Tangyuan, and Little Sister Guoguo."

After hearing what Xi Jingyu said, Ming Han responded with an "Oh," and then said, "Our Bun, Tangyuan, and Guoguo are pretty smart, but I’m not sure if their cleverness surpasses your little brother’s."

Xi Jingyu: "I trust what my grandpa says."

Ming Han: "You’re quite the unreliable brother! Even though you’re siding with my brothers and sister, thinking they might be smarter than your brother, blood is thicker than water. You’re the brother; you can’t just dampen your own kin’s self-esteem."

"What are you talking about?!" Xi Jingyu waved his hand, "My little brother wouldn’t care about that. You don’t know him. Every time my grandpa praises your siblings’ cleverness, my brother nods in agreement!"

The Jhiang’s home.

"Xuanxuan, where are you and Little Yu taking your siblings?"

For Jhiang Xuanyuan’s birthday celebration, Old Master Jhiang specifically invited a chef from a state-owned restaurant to the house to cook. Just as the meal was about to be served, Luo Sichun casually noticed her daughter and Xi family’s little grandson, with Bun in tow, heading out the living room door, prompting her to quickly walk over and ask her daughter Xuanxuan.

"We’re going to visit Grandpa Xi. Mom, we’ll be back soon!"

Jhiang Xuanyuan blinked, hoping Luo Sichun would agree to let the five little friends go out.

"Dinner’s about ready, and the cake has just been delivered home. Is it appropriate for you and Little Yu to leave with your siblings to Little Yu’s house and ignore the other kids here to celebrate your birthday?"

Luo Sichun said softly and saw her daughter lower her head, pursing her lips in silence. She smiled, ready to say more, when suddenly Guoguo’s sweet voice piped up: "Sister Xuanxuan, we can go visit Brother Xi’s house to see Grandpa Xi after your birthday celebration. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be polite to the other young guests you invited."

Xuanxuan looked up at Guoguo, "So we’ll go to Xi Chenyu’s house later?"
