Kang Li tells her children a story and sings them to sleep. Later, her husband Luo Yanqing teases her about an earlier moment of amusement, eventually coaxing her to share that she was thinking about how amazing it was to have three intelligent children simultaneously. He playfully reminds her of his own contribution to the family.

Shame? What reason would he have to feel ashamed? After all, Luo Mingting and their very births were partly his doing!

"I disagree," Kang Li stated, her expression entirely neutral.

"My dear, you're being rather unreasonable. Could you have given birth without me, hmm?" Luo Yanqing asked, a playful spark in his eyes as he met her gaze. Kang Li hesitated for a beat before managing to utter, "Annoying!"

"Whatever my wife says is right. I may be annoying, but as long as it pleases you, my dear!" Luo Yanqing buried his face in his wife's neck, a low chuckle vibrating from his chest.

"I never said I liked it."

Kang Li affectionately tousled his hair. He then whispered "I love you" in several distinct languages into her ear. Her heart fluttered, but to hide her reaction, Kang Li pretended to be irritated. "Stop it, you're giving me goosebumps!"

Upon hearing this, Luo Yanqing held her tighter, his mirthful laughter echoing once more.

"Can you stop laughing?" Kang Li asked, a hint of helplessness in her tone. She lightly pinched his waist and inquired, "What did you and Vivi discuss during lunch?"

Halting his laughter, Luo Yanqing responded, "I told her to remain at home."

"Just that?"

Kang Li appeared unconvinced.

"Yes."

Luo Yanqing opted not to inform Kang Li just yet. He hadn't yet devised a way to explain his ex-wife's blatant infidelity.

"I'm not entirely convinced," Kang Li admitted, though she didn't push the matter. After a brief silence, she asked, "Do you believe your ex-wife will stir up trouble again?"

Luo Yanqing replied, "I don't know her that well, but we aren't afraid. I've ensured the agreement is in place." He mused that perhaps a conversation was needed before his return to the office.

To put it plainly, when Feng Lu reappeared before Luo Yanqing after more than a decade, he initially didn't recognize her. However, after a few exchanged words, deeply buried memories surfaced vividly. He recollected numerous details about Feng Lu and her family, understanding their background. Yet, Luo Yanqing remained unfazed.

After all, his confidence was unwavering; he feared nothing, not even a confrontation with the Feng family.

"Your ex-wife is a formidable opponent. If she genuinely intends to take Hanhan and Vivi, she might resort to extreme measures to achieve her objectives."

"We are not afraid. Luo Minghan and Luo Mingwei are my children. Even setting aside that agreement, the fact that she abandoned them years ago guarantees she won't gain custody. Furthermore, Luo Minghan and the others are not mere toddlers of two or three; they possess the capacity for independent thought. In a legal contest, a judge would certainly consider the children's wishes."

"You are correct, but my fervent hope is that your ex-wife lives her own life and refrains from interfering in our children's lives," Kang Li said, returning his embrace. She added, "Children in their early teenage years are prone to rebellion; I do not wish for them to endure emotional distress because of their biological mother."

Luo Yanqing gently patted Kang Li’s back, offering reassurance: "It will not happen, do not worry."

Meanwhile, within the confines of the Han family's modest villa.

Feng Lu rested in Han Bin's embrace, her hand resting protectively over her abdomen, her eyes filled with tenderness.

"Aren't you happy?"

Earlier that afternoon, she had experienced a sudden wave of nausea. Her immediate thought was the possibility of pregnancy, fueled by her intense longing for a child, which she believed would secure her position within this family.

Why?

Despite the presence of Luo Minghan and Luo Mingwei, she perceived that the man beside her harbored no desire to acknowledge those children. His reaction upon learning their true identities – shock, yes, but little genuine excitement.

Fortunately, her body had cooperated, and she was once again expecting his child. With this development, Han Qian would surely face consequences!

A shrewd glint flickered in Feng Lu's eyes at this thought.

To guarantee the safe arrival of her child, she resolved to keep Han Qian uninformed until her pregnancy became visibly apparent. She would also maintain vigilance against Han Qian to prevent any unforeseen incidents.

"Don't get lost in your thoughts."

Han Bin spoke softly, "When you called to share the news, I was overcome with joy. Imagining becoming a father again in less than seven months filled me with a profound sense of warmth."

Seizing the opportune moment, Feng Lu pleaded, "Promise me you won't mention this to Qianqian for the time being."
