Chiang Xiao, claiming to be a new patient, screams from her hospital room at night, frightening those nearby. Lu Junyou, suspicious of her sudden appearance, orders an investigation. Despite his efforts to move her to a different ward, Chiang Xiao continues her disruptive behavior, screaming again and claiming to see a ghost, which further agitates Old Master Lu.

Meanwhile, Old Master Lu, who had just started to regain his composure, was nearly startled out of his wits by her piercing scream.

"A ghost?" This time, neither of the bodyguards bothered with politeness. They strode over and attempted to hoist her up from either side, intending to drag her away.

"Help! A ghost is trying to catch me! Help!" Chiang Xiao shrieked in unadulterated terror.

Very soon, the doctor and nurse on duty rushed into the room, arriving just in time to witness Chiang Xiao, completely enveloped in a blanket, clinging tenaciously to the bed frame with both arms and legs. Two men were actively trying to pull her free.

"What are you doing?" the on-duty doctor demanded.

This was D State, and although he was aware that Old Master Lu was a patient here, the Lu Family's primary influence was in Pingzhou. This fact emboldened him to reprimand them directly.

Furthermore, observing the aggressive actions of the two men, he mistakenly believed they were the cause of the female patient's earlier tragic screams. A righteous fire ignited within his chest.

"Let her go!"

"Are you the doctor here? This woman is causing an excessive disturbance. We need to move her to another room immediately!" one of the Lu Family's bodyguards stated sternly.

The male doctor exchanged a look with the accompanying nurse.

What was happening?

The nurse swiftly explained the situation to him.

"During the room assignment, it appears the handwriting was quite illegible, and this patient mistakenly took room 303 for 305, thus ending up in the wrong place. Apparently, she screamed due to a nightmare, but now they insist on relocating her. I've already informed them that given the late hour, it would be best to handle the room change first thing in the morning."

The doctor’s gaze swept over the "female patient" on the floor, who was fearfully gripping the bed leg while wrapped in a blanket, and then shifted to the two men attempting to forcibly drag her away. His expression darkened.

"Even if she had a nightmare and screamed, she is still a patient. Can't you show a little more understanding? Your barging in and attempting to drag her out would scare anyone."

Lu Junyou strode in briskly. After a glance at the scene unfolding in the ward, he immediately commanded in a deep voice, "Release the lady."

The two bodyguards exchanged a brief look before complying and letting go of Chiang Xiao.

Initially, their intention wasn't to drag her out by force; they simply wanted to pull her to her feet to discuss moving rooms. However, the woman suddenly sat down, clutched the bed leg, and screamed at the top of her lungs. This made them anxious about disturbing Old Master Lu further, so they decided to pull her out first before attempting explanations.

Nevertheless, her screams were incredibly loud, causing their eardrums to buzz from the sheer volume.

"I apologize. They were a bit too hasty. To this lady, I..."

Before Lu Junyou could finish his apology, Chiang Xiao flung off the blanket and bolted from the room, wailing loudly.

"Bandits! Robbers! There are bandits in this hospital! I'm too scared to stay here, boo hoo, it's horrifying!"

She continued to cry and yell as she scrambled out of the room, making a hasty retreat towards the stairs, her cries and shouts echoing down the corridor.

Her reaction was so sudden that by the time she burst out, everyone else was only just beginning to process what had occurred.

The doctor immediately spun around and dashed out, shouting, "Quick, stop her!"

Allowing a hospital patient to run out into the night, appearing to be forcibly ejected, would undoubtedly have severe repercussions for the hospital's reputation.

The nurse also snapped into action and hurried after Chiang Xiao.

They pursued her, calling out, "Miss, please come back!"
