Chiang Xiao is happy to go out with friends, but Ding Haijing worries about her. Meanwhile, Jiang Shiheng and his bodyguards arrive at a tourist spot by the sea, only to find it eerily deserted. Their boat strikes a reef and begins to sink, forcing them to head towards a seemingly abandoned island with a house and a temple, just as a storm gathers.

Sun Han felt a sense of unease growing within him.

"Do you think it's going to be a heavy downpour?" he inquired.

"Likely so," Jiang Shiheng responded with a pained smile. "Perhaps I've been away from State D and the sea for too long. I'd forgotten how unpredictable the weather at sea can be. The sky was clear just moments ago, and now a deluge might be upon us."

"If the rain becomes heavy, Sixth Young Master, we should head to the temple quickly. You really shouldn't get wet," the bodyguard advised, disembarking from the boat. He busied himself with securing the rope, ensuring the vessel remained stable.

Sun Han lent his support to Jiang Shiheng as he stepped off the boat.

They all proceeded swiftly along the ascending path.

At this very moment, a woman clad in a beige gown approached them with brisk steps.

"Xiao Sixth, you've arrived?"

Lu Shuangshuang's face lit up with a smile upon seeing Jiang Shiheng. "Let's hurry to the temple; I have a feeling a heavy rain is imminent."

She extended her hand, intending to take Jiang Shiheng's. "You might not recall the way; allow me to guide you..."

"

"Miss Lu, there's no need. I am familiar with the route," Jiang Shiheng stated.

"You remember the way?" Lu Shuangshuang seemed surprised by this.

"Miss Lu, I know the path. I can lead the way. Sixth Young Master, this way please," the bodyguard interjected, stepping forward.

"Hmm," Jiang Shiheng acknowledged.

Lu Shuangshuang cast a sharp glance at the bodyguard.

A sudden chill ran down the bodyguard's spine.

However, he soon questioned his reaction. Wasn't Miss Lu renowned for her kindness, her gentle and generous nature? Why did she just emanate such an intimidating aura?

It must have been a mere figment of his imagination.

Even though Sixth Young Master didn't seem to favor her, they were all obligated to stand by Sixth Young Master's side. Yet, they had never perceived Lu Shuangshuang as a frightening individual.

Sun Han remained close to Jiang Shiheng, his vigilance unwavering.

After traversing a section of the road, large raindrops began to fall.

They all broke into a run, with the modest temple entrance coming into view.

As Jiang Shiheng just managed to enter, he heard a cry from Lu Shuangshuang behind him, followed by a distinct thud.

Turning, they all witnessed Lu Shuangshuang lying sprawled on the ground.

"Miss Lu, are you alright?"

One of the bodyguards hurried over to offer assistance.

Lu Shuangshuang recoiled from his offered hand. She managed to rise unsteadily, her dress now soiled, and she was thoroughly soaked, presenting a picture of distress.

The instant they stepped inside the temple's main hall, the heavens opened, unleashing a torrential downpour.

Lu Shuangshuang glanced at Jiang Shiheng, then lowered her gaze to her own disheveled state, a sniffle escaping her.

Jiang Shiheng's brow furrowed. "Miss Lu, are you unwell?" he inquired.

"I might have twisted my ankle; it's incredibly painful right now," Lu Shuangshuang confessed. Her eyes welled up as she looked at him. "Xiao Sixth, must you maintain such distance? Calling me Miss Lu, do you realize how much that pains me?"

Her words caused the accompanying bodyguards to shift uncomfortably.

Sun Han inclined his head slightly, maintaining his position beside Jiang Shiheng, showing no inclination to yield his spot.

Lu Shuangshuang attempted to take a few steps toward Jiang Shiheng, but the moment she moved, she cried out again and collapsed to the ground. Was her ankle truly sprained, rendering her unable to walk?

Just as she was about to fall, a hand reached out and steadied her.

A surge of emotion coursed through Lu Shuangshuang. She quickly lifted her head, gazing up with a coy expression at the person supporting her. "Xiao Sixth..."

"Miss Lu, please exercise caution," the voice said.

Sun Han uttered the words expressionlessly, withdrawing his hand.

It was him who had caught her?

Lu Shuangshuang's heart plummeted.

Jiang Shiheng remained a short distance away, observing her. He echoed, "Miss Lu, please be careful."
