All of a sudden, the book in Izroth’s hands emitted a bright purple light as pulses of purple lightning could be seen flowing throughout the pages.

The following moment, a purple lightning jumped off the page and struck the center of Izroth’s forehead.

Izroth’s eyes changed as the purple lightning could be seen within them. At the same time, Izroth felt an overwhelming burst of energy surging into him as a layer of purple lightning formed around his entire body.

In the blink of an eye, Izroth’s Spirit Source jumped by two stages in less than a single breath! He had not experienced something remotely close to this kind of rapid progress for his Source since he consumed the Essence of a Great Spirit.

It was not uncommon for legendary figures to leave behind their legacy. However, not all legacies were equal. In the case of this person Izroth decided to refer to as the Thunder God, to call the legacy they left behind incredible was an understatement.

Even after increasing his Source Stage by four stages, the Thunder Roar’s God displayed no hints of losing steam and it powered onward!

It was not until several minutes later, when Izroth received an alert from the system, that the seemingly endless surge of natural energy finally calmed down and Izroth returned to normal.

The light from the Thunder God’s Roar receded as the book reverted to its initial state. However, there were a few minor changes.

Izroth re-examined the Thunder God’s Roar and noticed that some additional pages had been added.

Originally, the Thunder God’s Roar only recorded two verses of the Source Chant. But, after everything that had just occurred, it now had an additional three verses, making for a total of five verses. Each verse was more profound than the last. And, as Izroth read them, the knowledge of the Source Chant seemed to naturally flow into his mind as if it had always been a part of him.

Besides the huge boost to his overall essence and essence regeneration, there were no other big changes to Izroth’s Spirit Source. However, Izroth noticed a strange energy that settled around his heart. No, rather than energy, it bore a greater resemblance to a Law of the World. But, while Izroth did not know its origins, he understood that it was neither an energy source, essence, or a Law of the World.

Izroth used Energy Vision Sense to examine his own condition. In the end, he came up empty handed. All he could tell was that it seemed to be in a dormant state. Nonetheless, Izroth did not enjoy the idea of having a potential time bomb situated so close to his heart.

As Izroth contemplated how to deal with this foreign force that invaded his body, a series of knocks sounded from his door followed by a woman’s voice.

"Supreme Elder, your presence has been requested at the guest reception hall." The voice echoed from outside.

Izroth placed the Thunder God’s Roar into his inventory as he walked toward the door and opened it.

"Lead the way." Izroth stated calmly.

A few minutes later...

Izroth arrived in a grand reception hall. Besides him, there were five other individuals in the room—one of which was Quicksil Kroma, who was seated on the right side of the grand hall.

Izroth’s gaze landed on the man who sat at the highest seat in the room. There was a calm yet fierce aura about him. He bore a somewhat close resemblance to Quicksil; however, there was a certain layer of refined maturity that was a few steps above.

Seated next to him was an elegant lady with neatly kept blonde hair that was tied up lavishly and a pair of stunning bright emerald eyes. Although she was well past the youth of her life, it did not at all take away from her beauty and the graceful way she carried herself.

As for the last two individuals—they were an elderly man and woman. They were seated on the left side of the grand hall.

"Welcome, Supreme Elder of the Fourth Pavilion. I am the Head of the Kroma family, Mithron Kroma. I have already heard everything from Quicksil." The man at the highest seat spoke.
