Alex worked to design a drone capable of inscribing runes, aiming for a form that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Rejecting arthropod and mammalian bases due to public perception, he settled on avian forms, eventually creating a hybrid of a woodpecker and hummingbird. This design incorporated features for inscription and stable hovering, with enhanced stabilization to counteract recoil. He then refined its appearance with iridescent plumage and luminous runes.
