One Heaven and Alex observed the Holy Lands' sorcerers, including Heaven Secret Sect disciples, struggle against a berserk corrupted human in the maze before they cooperated to defeat it at great cost. Disappointed by their arrogance and disunity, One Heaven awarded them a manual as a poisoned chalice to incite infighting and distract enemies, entrusting his true legacy to Alex. Upon returning, Alex reunited with his companions, who had all achieved significant cultivation advancements.

Alex faced One Heaven, the elderly figure.

"Thank you for all you’ve done for us, sir," he expressed with true sincerity.

One Heaven shook his head gently.

"No thanks are necessary. This chance arose from your own Destiny and Luck. For me, it was simply an exchange."

He halted for a moment before speaking again.

"I merely wish that, when the moment arrives, you’ll rise to defend this world."

"I will," Alex affirmed with a nod. "I won’t vow to rescue the world entirely, but I pledge to give it my all."

"That’s more than enough," One Heaven responded, a subtle smile gracing his lips.

His presence started to dim gradually.

"Perfect timing..." he whispered.

Next, he directed his eyes at Alex and the companions.

"My era draws to a close at last. Now, I can truly find peace—in time and beyond death."

He released a soft sigh.

"My true form passed away ages ago. All that lingers is a shard of the Heavens’ recollections of me... and even that has worn thin over these years."

A warm smile lit his features.

"Yet, I’m thankful that I’ve discovered fitting heirs in the end."

He appeared set to vanish—

Yet he hesitated.

"Regarding those heirs..."

With a simple flick of his wrist, rays of light burst out, sinking into the brows of every member present.

"I’ve bestowed upon you the inheritances of the Emperors who remained at my side to the last," he explained. "Whether you wield them or not, please ensure they reach deserving followers later."

His tone grew gentler.

"They gave far too much... at minimum, allow their legacies to persist across the ages."

The party nodded with grave respect.

Though few would adopt those techniques—their own cultivation routes fit better—

They could certainly commit to relaying them to future generations.

Besides, the elder hadn’t dictated exactly who those heirs must be.

Essentially, he’d granted Alex’s group a vault of invaluable treasures akin to supreme legacies.

No one among Alex, his spouses, or his allies would dream of rejecting such a gift.

"Farewell then," One Heaven uttered, his voice fading into the distance, "I wish you triumph on your path... amid Heavens and Earth."

At those words, his shape fully dissolved.

Rumble—!

Abruptly, the vast Heaven-Earth Concordance talismanic array quaked fiercely.

Alex observed live as the Sigil-driven arrays crumbled inward.

Without its core anchor—the spectral image of One Heaven, drawn from the Heavens’ remembrance—the complex Grand Formation lost its ability to hold together.

Equilibrium shattered.

The whole construct started to disintegrate... akin to toppling dominoes in sequence.

The following moment saw Alex and his allies whisked across spatial layers.

But in that brief instant, Alex detected an influx into his consciousness.

’...Spatial coordinates?’

With the coordinates appeared a vivid vision.

The mana vein chamber.

Understanding struck like lightning.

’Ah... naturally.’

’Should a mana vein so immense crumble with the Grand Formation, the devastation would be unimaginable.’

’Hundreds of kilometres around could face ruin.’

’That’d equate to slaying the chosen heir after all the trouble to select one.’

Alex swiftly connected the dots.

The central mana vein—fueling the full formation—had probably been relocated to an isolated spatial realm.

And those coordinates pointed straight to it.

A slight grin curved his mouth.

’Such an enormous power reserve...’

’Perfect for forging a vast tech-based dominion.’

Thrill built within him.

If any single flaw plagued cutting-edge tech advancement—

It lay in power usage.

Yet now—with these coordinates secured—his upcoming domain’s urgent power needs stood resolved... prior to any building starting.

’Naturally,’ he thought, cooling his enthusiasm, ’I’ll require a secure harvesting mechanism to pull mana and energy from that realm.’

He reflected momentarily.

’That won’t prove overly challenging.’

’Since a parallel system operates in the Voidheart Core already. Adaptation is all it needs.’

As the sorcerers left the talismanic field’s bounds, Ray halted abruptly and glanced back, peering afar.

"What’s the matter?" Lina inquired, steadying him.

"The talismanic field..." Ray murmured deliberately. "...it has just fallen apart."

His statement left the group dumbfounded.

Nearly by reflex, eyes turned to Hiro.

The Heaven-Earth Concordance field’s downfall signaled just one outcome—

Its mission complete.

An heir selected.

Coming right after securing the manual, the mages figured that tome they carried was One Heaven’s authentic legacy.

The air thickened with gravity.

To them, they clutched the supreme treasure of the world.

A force that could shape the realm’s destiny.

At the same time—

Alex and his companions rematerialized near their entry point into the Heaven-Earth Concordance formation, close to the Fortuna forces who’d waited beyond.

Yet the vista had transformed utterly.

The frenzied humans, previously trapped in the talismanic field, now rampaged unchecked.

They surged through the plains beneath the peak in wild packs.

This abrupt change had put the outer Fortuna guards on edge.

Blades ready, they held positions of vigilance—braced for battle.

Upon Alex’s party’s arrival, they scanned the chaos swiftly.

Clarity hit at once.

Noticing their return, relief washed over the rest.

Leader present, they readied for withdrawal on instinct.

However, no command rang out.

Instead, Alex lifted his palm facing the onrushing masses.

A colossal spell ring emerged overhead the throng.

Shadows, Flames, and dominant Lightning mana flooded the array.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Crimson-violet-ebon thunderbolts descended like godly wrath.

Berserk humans hit dead-on vaporized instantly to ash.

Fortuna members looked to Alex.

Faces showed stunned terror and reverence.

"I’m heading out first," Alex declared steadily.

No pause for replies—

He surged ahead.

Plunging into the mob below, gripping his draconic baton.
