After a physically demanding encounter, Noah and Sophie find themselves hungry in the middle of the night. They raid the minibar for snacks and end up reminiscing about their first meeting at the academy, recalling how Lucas orchestrated their encounter. This memory leads to a renewed, passionate encounter between them, culminating in mutual release.

The first low, pale orange beams of dawn cut across the harbor water, reflecting off the rising tide and throwing a sharp, golden matrix of light directly through the floor-to-ceiling glass window of the hotel room. The amber glow of the midnight oil was entirely gone, replaced by the crisp, blinding clarity of a new morning.

Noah woke first. His chest was pressed against Sophie’s back, his arm heavy around her waist, locking her small body against his. The draconic heat in his veins hadn’t died down; it had spent the last four hours simmering under the heavy duvet, leaving his skin radiating a steady, thick warmth that had kept them both flushed throughout the night.

He shifted slightly, the motion causing his thick, heavy cock to slide along the smooth curve of her inner thigh. It was already rock-hard, pulsing with a stubborn, early-morning tension that refused to let up. He leaned forward, his mouth finding the bare, smooth line of her shoulder blade. He pressed a slow, dragging kiss against the skin, his tongue tracing the elegant ridge of her bone before moving up to the sensitive side of her neck.

Sophie let out a low, raspy groan, her eyelids fluttering open against the bright morning light. She didn’t move away; instead, her hips twitched backward against his groin instinctively, her body entirely responsive and highly sensitive from the frantic pacing of the previous rounds.

"Noah," she muttered, her voice thick and breathless with sleep. "You are relentless."

"Look outside," Noah whispered, his voice a deep, gravelly vibration against her ear.

He didn’t give her a chance to fully wake up or argue. He threw the heavy duvet aside, the cool, air-conditioned air of the room instantly hitting their bare, warm skin. He hooked his arm beneath her stomach and lifted her completely off the mattress, his feet finding the plush carpet as he carried her bare body across the space toward the massive, panoramic window overlooking the harbor.

Sophie gasped, her hands flying out to brace herself against the thick, cold glass as he set her down flat on her feet. The contrast was instant and intense—the front of her torso, her heavy, soft breasts, and her palms were pressed directly against the freezing glass, while Noah’s burning, solid frame slammed tight against her back, trapping her completely.

"Noah... oh, god, it’s cold," she gasped out, her lower half trembling as she stood on her tiptoes.

"I’ll warm you up," he rasped.

He didn’t use any preamble. He grabbed her left thigh, pulling it upward and hooking her knee over his forearm to open her completely. The position left her left side entirely exposed to the bright morning light, her soaking, swollen entrance glistening with the remnants of the night’s fluids and her fresh morning moisture. He guided the thick, heavy head of his cock to her opening and drove forward in one deep, unyielding thrust.

*Squelch.*

Sophie’s head snapped forward, her forehead hitting the glass with a soft thud as a loud, wet cry ripped from her throat. Her mouth was open, and the sudden, explosive heat of his entry caused her sharp breath to instantly fog up the cold glass directly in front of her face, creating a small, misty circle that faded and bloomed with every gasp she took.

"Ah! Noah! It’s... it’s too big in the morning," she choked out, her fingers clawing at the glass, leaving small, frantic smudges on the clean surface.

Noah didn’t slacken the pressure. He buried himself to the absolute root, his lower belly slamming against her plump, smooth ass cheeks with a heavy, flesh-on-flesh impact. The visual from the side was stunning—the bright morning sun highlighted the deep, dark flush spreading across her pale skin, the faint red finger-marks he’d left on her waist the night before now fully visible in the daylight.

He began to move, executing a brutal, short-stroke rhythm that kept him buried deeply within her narrowest depths. He wasn’t being gentle; the clarity of the morning light seemed to amplify his dominance, his hands moving up to grip her jaw from behind, forcing her head to turn so she had to look at her own reflection in the glass while he took her.

"Look at yourself, Soph," he growled, his hips executing a sharp, upward twist that drove his shaft against her most sensitive internal ridges. "Look at what you do to me."

Sophie let out a fractured, high-pitched whimpering sound, her eyes glazed and wild as she stared at her own reflection. She could see her heavy breasts being squished and flattened against the cold glass with every single heavy impact from behind, the large, cherry-red nipples spreading out against the surface, turning a deep, dark crimson as the cold air outside and his intense heat from behind trapped her in a vise of pure sensation.

"Yes... yes... Noah, harder," she pleaded, her voice dropping into a dirty, desperate sob that was entirely devoid of her usual calculated control. "Fuck me harder. Break the glass."

Noah grinned, his draconic veins flaring a bright, low red against her hips as he picked up the tempo to an unhinged, rapid-fire speed.

*Papapapapapapa!*

The wet, frantic percussion of their coupling echoed off the large window, the sound sharp and heavy in the morning quiet. He reached forward with his free hand, his fingers sinking into her dark, tangled hair, wrapping the strands around his knuckles to pull her head back. He exposed the long line of her throat, his mouth coming down to bite and suck on the side of her neck, leaving fresh, dark marks while his lower half continued its relentless, rapid assault.

From the side, the visual was purely primitive. Every single time his pelvis slammed into her ass, her heavy mounds of breasts would jiggle and bounce wildly against the glass, sliding up and down the smooth surface with a slick, chaotic friction. The small circle of fog from her breath grew larger, thicker, completely coating the glass in front of her as she panted, her lips parted as she took the full, unyielding force of his weight.

"Noah—Noah—I’m going to—"

"Not yet," he commanded, his hands shifting back down to her waist, his thumbs digging into her hip bones to anchor her body as he delivered five rapid, brutal, deep plunges that hit her cervix with every single thrust.

Sophie’s knees completely buckled, her body entirely supported by his forearm beneath her thigh and her palms flat against the window. She was shaking from head to toe, her internal walls undergoing a violent, crushing series of spasms that clamped down on his shaft like a living vice. She let out a long, shattered scream, her forehead hitting the fogged-up glass as she busted hard, her inside muscles pulsing with a frantic, milking rhythm that nearly ended Noah right then and there.

The sheer, tight pressure of her second morning climax was too much. Noah let out a deep, guttural roar from behind her, his muscles locking tight as he drove himself as deep as humanly possible inside her pulsing heat, releasing a massive, boiling torrent of cum straight into her core.

They stayed frozen against the glass for several long, breathless seconds, the circle of fog slowly fading from the window as their frantic breathing gradually slowed, completely spent, bathed in the blinding gold of the dawn.

The walk back to the facility took twice as long as it should have, mostly because Sophie kept stopping to fix her hair in every reflective surface they passed and Noah kept telling her it looked fine and she kept not believing him.

"It’s the walk of shame," she said, checking her reflection in a darkened shop window for the fourth time. "I refuse to do the walk of shame with bad hair."

"Nobody’s going to know," Noah said.

"Kelvin is going to know," Sophie said. "Kelvin knows everything. It’s genuinely unfair."

She was right, obviously. She was always right about Kelvin.

They came through the main entrance into the common area a little past ten, and the room was already half full, morning routines in full swing, someone’s breakfast going cold on the counter, and the noise dropped by about half the second they walked through the door.

Kelvin was sitting backward on a chair with his arms folded over the backrest, and the grin that spread across his face was somehow worse than anything he could have actually said.

"There they are," he said. "The missing persons."

"We’re not missing," Noah said. "We’re standing right here."

"You clocked back in at zero six forty this morning," Kelvin said. "I know because I watch the access logs the way normal people watch television. You left the facility for dinner at nineteen hundred hours last night. That’s an eleven hour and forty minute gap, Noah. Eleven hours and forty minutes for a dinner reservation."

"The restaurant had a long wait," Sophie said, without missing a beat.

"For eleven hours."

"It’s a very popular restaurant."

Seraleth looked up from the couch, spoon halfway to her mouth, cereal bowl balanced on her knee. "Oh, fun without us, huh."

"We had dinner," Sophie said.

"Uh huh," Lila said from the kitchen counter, not even looking up from the fruit she was cutting.

"We danced," Sophie said, which was true, and which she seemed to think was a solid defense right up until she heard herself say it out loud and realized it wasn’t helping.

"Danced," Angel repeated, dragging the word out from where she was sprawled sideways across an armchair, one leg hooked over the arm. "At the restaurant. For eleven hours."

"We got a room after," Sophie said, "because there were people recognizing us on the street and it got complicated, and it was late, and — you know what, why am I explaining myself, we’re adults."

A soft chorus of ohhhh went around the room, entirely too pleased with itself.

Sophie’s face went a shade darker than her usual color. "You guys."

"I’m not saying anything," Kelvin said, holding both hands up. "I’m simply reporting facts. The facts happen to be very entertaining."

"I hate all of you," Sophie said, but she was fighting a smile the whole time she said it, and she gave up trying to hide it about a half second later, dropping down onto the arm of the couch next to Seraleth and stealing a spoonful of her cereal in what looked like an old, comfortable habit between them.

"He’s cute when he’s flustered too, for the record," Seraleth said, tilting her head toward Noah, who had wisely said almost nothing this entire exchange and was currently pouring himself coffee like the counter needed his full attention.

"I’m not flustered," Noah said.

"You’ve stirred that coffee for thirty seconds," Lila said. "There’s no sugar in it."

Noah looked down at the mug. There was, in fact, no sugar in it. He set the spoon down.

"Fine," he said. "We had a good night. Sue me."

"We’re happy for you," Angel said, and there was something genuine underneath the teasing now, softer, the kind of warmth that came easier in a room like this after everything the last few weeks had put all of them through. "Both of you. God knows you’ve earned one good night."

Sophie’s smile settled into something quieter at that, and she reached over without a word and squeezed Angel’s hand once, and Angel squeezed back.

Lucas came around the corner a moment later, still mid-conversation with Sam, a tablet tucked under one arm, and he took in the room’s energy in about half a second flat.

"What did I miss," he said.

"Nothing," Sophie said, at the exact same time Kelvin said, "Eleven hours and forty minutes."

Lucas looked between them, clearly deciding this was not a thread worth pulling on right now. "Right. Anyway. Briefing, ten minutes, everyone who’s coming to the Amazon needs to be there. Priya’s got the updated logistics."

"The Amazon," Noah said, coffee forgotten. "We’re actually going."

"Two days," Lucas said. "EDF clearance window opens then, according to Priya’s contact, and it closes fast, so we move when it opens or we wait another six weeks for the next one." He looked at Noah properly for the first time. "Good timing on you getting back when you did, honestly. We’d have gone without you otherwise."

"Wouldn’t have let you," Noah said.

"Figured," Lucas said, already turning to go. "Ten minutes. Common briefing room. Bring actual attention this time, Kelvin, not whatever you were doing during the Dreamers meeting."

"I was fully present for that meeting," Kelvin called after him.

"You were drafting a research paper with Priya in your notes app," Lucas called back, not even turning around.

Kelvin opened his mouth, closed it again, and shrugged. "Okay. Fair."

The room started breaking apart then, people peeling off toward the briefing room in twos and threes, and Sophie caught Noah’s hand on her way past him, tugging him along with her.

"Two days," she said, quieter now, just for him. "That’s not a lot of time to pack."

"We’ll manage," Noah said.

"We always do," she said, and bumped her shoulder against his as they walked, the easy contact of two people who’d just spent a night reminding themselves what quiet felt like before the next thing came to take it away again.

Behind them, Seraleth set her cereal bowl down and stretched both arms over her head.

"The Amazon," she said, to no one in particular. "I’ve never seen a jungle that big. I hope there’s something down there worth punching."

"There’s a void stone," Kelvin said, falling into step beside her. "And apparently several categories of beast we don’t have a name for yet."

"Perfect," Seraleth said, grinning. "Something to punch."

The common area emptied out behind them, morning light coming in low through the high windows, and for a little while, before the briefing room filled up with maps and threat classifications and the real weight of what was coming, the facility just felt like a home full of people who loved each other, getting ready for the next thing together.
