"D- Damnit, Miss Sonia, hasn't it already been too long? How much more time do you need?!" Blue Moustache began to shout as well.
"Open the door and come out, even if your pow-"
The two demi gods had veins popping all over their foreheads by now.
BANG
The door suddenly opened, and from inside walked out a calm and collected Sonia.
With a smile on her face, she looked at the two men and spoke, "Can you stop barking for a moment, you dogs?"
The two paused for a moment before glaring at her.
"What?!"
"Haha, I meant Bulldog. Anyway, it is time to head off."
Without giving them any time to reply, she started flying away.
Shitless internally cursed Onest and decided to take his revenge later, since he was the one behind Vritra arriving late.
Going ahead, their plan was the same as before.
Vritra and the others hid and followed behind the three figures.
Before long, they arrived at another dome where another calamity was present.
The two demi gods killed the calamity and received the message, while Vritra remained there to control the scene with Misty Essence.
Meanwhile, the group of women separated to search for the second anomaly.
It was already getting late, so after dealing with it they would have to quickly hide from the fog monsters.
Soon after, Vritra received the message that his wives had found the anomaly.
Since his work here was done, he teleported away, soon arriving beside them.
And this anomaly was even harder to catch, it was an infant with an extra eye on its back.
After confirming it, all of them attacked at once, giving it no chance to escape.
[You have eliminated an anomaly!]
[Anomalies: 2/10]
"Let's go rest for now, this is already a good pace. We will search for the flag in the morning." Vritra said, and they found a Night Corp building.
They headed straight to the lowest floor and rested comfortably.
Shitless also hid inside one such building, quickly changing his appearance after blending into the crowd.
Telling those two that she would appear once again in the morning.
Blue Moustache and Bulldog both had no choice but to go hide in the sewer, they wondered if those level 4 demi gods would be back.
And just like that, night arrived and fog covered everything.
Roars of monsters could be heard, leaving most of the players baffled and afraid.
...
The whole area was crowded, millions of people had gathered.
The news of the battle between the Garissa and Asura families had spread far and wide.
Even the Vespera family was involved.
At the highest seats sat Adam, Fader, Evelyn and Zengis from the higher beings' side.
Zengis being Armin's father.
There were also a few top figures from the Asura race and a few others seated away from them.
Everyone seemed interested in this fight.
"My daughter, are you comfortable with your seat? Do you want me to ask for a better one?" Fader asked, holding a glass of wine in both hands.
"No." Evelyn glanced around.
There were so many demi gods here, even a lot of gods, and these were like bugs to the likes of higher beings and the others.
If her family or the others were to find out that her man was just a level 3 demi god, and even had seven wives, one of whom was even pregnant.
No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn't think of a way to make her family agree to it.
Forgetting the danger for a moment, this sort of relationship just seemed impossible.
But Evelyn was hellbent on being with Vritra, no matter the cost, he had already travelled so far.
From a human of Earth to a demi god, just a little more time and he would stand at a position that no one could shake.
She just needed to buy herself enough time.
'I wonder how his game is going, it became such a mess. Divine is with him but I am really worried.'
Originally Divine was not going to go with them, but because of the sudden change, he had to.
The game had become too dangerous.
But if she saw how Vritra was progressing, she might laugh to tears.
"Ughh, these demi gods are so noisy, should I wipe out a few to make them quiet down?" Adam frowned, looking at the large number of demi gods.
"Now now, Father, that's not how we should be acting. Even if they are bugs, it wouldn't suit our image to do that, would it?" Fader asked.
"Sigh."
Hearing this just made Evelyn even more worried.
Every time they mentioned a demi god, she felt they were talking about Vritra.
And when they finally came to know about him, even if he grew stronger, they would still care about his origins.
This was just giving her a headache.
"My fiancée, are you here to cheer for me?"
Breaking Evelyn's chain of thoughts, Armin, who floated above the battle arena, spoke with his arms behind his back and a smile on his face.
"..."
Evelyn merely glanced at him and didn't even acknowledge his presence, instead looking down at something else.
'Ughh... This woman... just you wait, I will break you if I have to, but I am going to change you, no matter what.'
A dangerous light passed through Armin's eyes as he glared at Evelyn.
"A- Armin, I am here for you, please look at me!!"
"Wow, he looks so handsome, I am so jealous. It should have been me!"
All of Armin's fangirls were going crazy, shouting towards him, to which Armin simply smiled and waved his hand.
BOOM
The whole arena seemed to shake as a person with bright red skin and whitish tattoos jumped to the centre.
He was bare-chested and stood over eight feet tall, an intense heat brimming around him while his muscles bulged.
This burly man was the son of the Asura Empress, the challenger for Evelyn's hand in marriage.
"Armin, are you scared?" His lips stretched into a grotesque smile as he stared at Armin with killing intent.
"Heh, scared of just you? Well, I might be a bit... if you bring out the whole Asura race, but still... I'd win!" Armin chuckled, directly insulting the entire Asura race and even the Empress herself.
But Len, the Asura Prince, didn't get angry.
He had been through enough battles to not lose his mind over something like this.
Not one to waste time on words, he didn't retort and simply laughed.
"We will see about that by the end of this battle, and I will be the one to marry her."
"Hah, look at this red pig, even a mirror would get scared of you. And you want to marry her?" Armin shook his head while feeling annoyed.
No matter what, he wouldn't let Evelyn marry anyone else, even if he had to sacrifice himself to kill this Len.
"What hot-blooded young men, but let's not bring my daughter's name into this? You understand?" Fader, who was going to be the referee of the match.
Simply looked at the two and both of them felt chills run through their bodies.
"Haa, isn't this a little too late for that? You shouldn't have made me a prize for your own benefit in the first place." Evelyn complained, especially glaring at her grandfather.
Adam was far worse, he wouldn't hesitate even once before using her like this.
"Haha, don't worry, nothing is set in stone, you know. Maybe if someone better arrives, you can choose him... hmm, but too bad, I can't find anyone better. Do you know anyone like that?" Fader looked at his daughter after asking.
"How would I? If I did, I wouldn't be stuck with your shitty arrangements." Evelyn replied, her eyes narrowing.
'Haa... She really can stay calm in every situation, truly my daughter.' Fader laughed and didn't continue the matter.
Instead, he flew up and stopped above the arena, looking at all the important figures.
"Armin, don't you dare splash dirt over my great name!" Zengis spoke in a strict tone before adding,
"You aren't my only son and I won't tolerate failures that ruin my great name, Zengis!"
"Y- Yes, Sir Zengis. I will do my best... no, I will definitely win." Armin said, already used to his father by now.
"Len, just don't kill him." The Asura Empress, who sat behind a curtain, spoke, her voice sounding groggy.
Everyone wondered if she was really sleeping at a time like this.
Or was it a strategy to make Armin lose confidence? Before the actual battle, there were mind games that could influence the result.
Fader yawned and after taking a sip of wine, spoke in a voice loud enough to reverberate throughout the massive arena.
"Since all the preparations are done, let's not waste any more time. Are you both ready?" He glanced down at the two.
Armin and Len stood opposite one another, serious looks on their faces.
"Yes." Both replied.
Len tightened the gloves around his wrists while Armin took out a hand fan with ugly eye patterns on it.
"Let the battle begin!!"
The whole arena erupted with roars as people screamed at the top of their lungs.
The vibrations travelled through their bodies.
Armin and Len remained still for a brief moment before shooting forward.
Len swung his arm, the force nearly cracking space as loud booming sounds rang out.
Armin kept his left hand behind his back while swinging the fan with his right, trying to block the punch.
BOOOOM
The moment the fist and fan came into contact, the fan was blasted to pieces, unable to stop the punch for even a moment.
The powerful blow continued onward, piercing through Armin's chest before blasting his head off.
The headless body trembled for a moment before collapsing.
