Two dragons descended from the sky, carrying two brothers, Raldy and Itch. Raldy, the elder brother, immediately displayed extreme arrogance, insulting the gathered crowd and searching for a wife. Despite his younger brother Itch's attempts to intervene, Raldy continued his rude behavior, even physically assaulting Itch. When a guard tried to intervene, Raldy effortlessly defeated him. Raldy then set his sights on Zira, but Onest stepped forward to defend her, claiming her as his own.

"If I make a choice then it can't be changed, just like the crack in a butt!" Raldy declared forcefully, his gaze fixed on the man who dared to challenge him.

"B- Big brother, do you mean a line on a stone?" Itch, who was lying in a sorry state a short distance away, corrected him.

"I don't care who you are, or what crack or line you're talking about. She is my wife. Choose another or I will end you right here!" Onest retorted, his fists clenched tightly.

Zira, meanwhile, was filled with dread. What was this man doing? Where was all this affection coming from? Didn't he harbor considerable resentment towards her due to their contract?

She glanced at the dragons, her fear mounting. This foolish Onest might get them all killed.

She knew he was strong, but certainly not strong enough to defeat that many formidable opponents.

"L- Let's just go, honey. You are no match for them," she whispered, tugging at his arm.

"Hmph. You think you can just leave now? My eyes are already set on you. You are going to be my wife, regardless of anything!" Raldy proclaimed loudly.

The rapidly growing crowd was incensed by Raldy's arrogance. What a scoundrel! How dare he covet another man's woman and display such insolence about it.

Their animosity towards him intensified with every passing moment.

"That arrogant bastard, I wish I could beat him up!" someone exclaimed in their anger, letting their voice slip.

"Who said that?!" Raldy bellowed, swiftly locating the source of the voice.

With a mere wave of his hand, the man was yanked forward. Raldy then backhanded him, sending him flying and spewing a fountain of blood.

"Someone stop this madman! He's going to kill everyone!"

"H- Help! Someone kill this Raldy bastard!" people scrambled for cover, their voices a chorus of panicked cries. Too many voices were shouting at once.

"Hmph. Silence!!" Raldy roared, the sheer force of his command causing everyone to tremble.

Nodding with satisfaction, he turned his attention back to Zira. "Beauty, I am far superior to him. I am richer, more handsome, and stronger.

I can grant you anything you desire and more: eternal life, boundless wealth, and every dream you've ever harbored. What can he possibly offer you? Leave him and come to me. Be my wife!"

Zira instinctively moved behind Onest, wary of trusting any man so easily. She was a shrewd woman, and she wouldn't make a move unless she was absolutely certain of the outcome.

"Hah! I am going to kill you!" Onest screamed, pushing Zira behind him before charging forward.

The onlookers watched Onest with a sense of pity. The poor man was bravely fighting to protect his wife, his love for her so evident.

And then there was the shameless Raldy, attempting to steal a wife in broad daylight – or was it moonlight?

Regardless, they were all filled with righteous anger towards him.

Onest unleashed a punch that landed squarely on Raldy's cheek, snapping his head back violently.

'W- Woah, he's that strong?! I knew I picked the best partner!' Zira felt a surge of happiness as the punch connected.

She had genuinely feared that Onest would be killed before he even had a chance to act.

"Y- You dare to lay a hand on me?!" Raldy began to tremble uncontrollably, his eyes blazing with fury.

He glared at Onest and then bellowed, "Dragons, attack this bastard! Today, I will kill him and feed him to all my pets!!"

ROOAAAAARRRRRRRRR

Suddenly, the sky erupted in light as over forty dragons materialized overhead, unleashing torrents of fire which formed massive pillars of flame ascending into the heavens.

The crowd was paralyzed with terror as immense shadows cast themselves over them.

Forty dragons?!

They were astounded that this seemingly ordinary man could command such a force. What was happening?

Had he ascended to become the new Dragon Emperor? There was no other explanation for such a spectacle.

But wasn't the Dragon Emperor someone else? They were certain his name wasn't Raldy. Yet, here they were, consumed by fear.

Zira stared at the sky, equally shocked. So, this man wasn't bluffing at all. He truly possessed immense power and capability.

But then, why would he be interested in someone like her?

'Hmm, perhaps he sees it as a challenge now that Onest has stood against him? Maybe it's less about his initial choice and more about his pride now?' Zira mused, a peculiar sentiment beginning to stir within her heart.

"H- Hmph, as if I would be afraid of a few p- pets. GULP." Onest stammered, a slight tremor in his voice.

Yet, inwardly, he was amused. They had certainly prepared thoroughly for this confrontation, and he was beginning to piece together their scheme.

Given Zira's avarice, it was entirely possible she might actually abandon him.

But first, he needed to endure humiliation and appear pathetic before Raldy.

Witnessing his apparent fear of the dragons, the crowd felt no contempt; instead, their pity for him deepened.

They praised him even more for having the courage to stand up for his wife.

"Haha! Is that all you can muster to make me afraid? Keep them coming, I need more!!" Raldy taunted, and then forty more dragons descended from the sky.

The sky was now filled with a terrifying legion of eighty dragons. Numerous people fainted instantly from the overwhelming sight.

This was an unprecedented event. Many feared that the entire Yate Realm was on the brink of destruction.

But why hadn't Gunter made an appearance yet?

"S- Sir, please wait." Just then, a figure could be seen rapidly approaching from the distance.

It was Gunter, the esteemed head of the Yate family. Despite facing immense hardships, he was the powerful lord who had prevented the Yate family from crumbling.

He was universally respected, bearing the mantle of protector for this realm.

"L- Lord Gunter is showing such deference to this individual? Whatever for?"

"Could it be that he is truly so formidable that even Lord Gunter feels compelled to show him respect?"

Awe filled the onlookers, yet their disdain for that fellow Raldy persisted, with many hoping Gunter would deliver a sound beating.

However, it appeared that their wish would remain unfulfilled.

"Oh, Gunter, you've arrived? This scoundrel currently residing in your domain has incensed me to such a degree that I was contemplating obliterating this entire realm," Raldy declared with undeniable arrogance.

Gunter, having been complicit in the scheme, couldn't refuse his son's request for involvement.

And the singular motivation behind Vritra's desire for Gunter's participation? Naturally, it was to attract more observers and, consequently, accrue a greater quantity of sin points.

"S- Sir, I sincerely apologize. I- I shall comply with your every command; please, spare this realm, for all these people are innocent," Gunter implored as he alighted before Raldy.

All of this had been pre-arranged, with 'Shitless' having already offered his apologies for the forthcoming insults directed at Gunter.

Yet, to fulfill his role as the public enemy, it was imperative that he behaved with extreme rudeness towards Gunter.

"Hmph, is your apology sufficient? I possess the power to end your life this very instant, but given that you aided me previously, I shall grant leniency to you and your lands. In lieu of further punishment, you will circumnavigate this marketplace ten times," Raldy decreed his sentence.

"Uh… Y- Yes, sir." Gunter, taken aback by this unforeseen turn, remained in character, commencing his flight around the marketplace.

Witnessing his public degradation, the crowd seethed with anger, unleashing a torrent of curses at Raldy and nearly hurling their footwear.

Nevertheless, their fear of the dragons dominating the sky held them in check.

"Do you perceive this display? I stand as the supreme authority here; a single utterance from me can seal your fates. You loutish pig, I shall claim your wife right before your eyes!!"
