Following a prolonged period of intimacy in bed and the bathroom, Vritra and Teresa decided to take a rest. Teresa found herself utterly exhausted, incapable of even standing, her intimate parts rendered exquisitely sensitive after hours of continuous lovemaking. 'I can scarcely comprehend how she managed it,' Teresa mused, recalling Yasmine's words about her and her husband spending an entire week in such pursuits after her recovery. The mere thought sent shivers down her spine, considering a full day hadn't even passed, and she was already this depleted. Nevertheless, Teresa felt confident that with some rest, they could resume.
Vritra prepared a meal for both of them and brought it to the table. "Husband, regarding your home planet, Earth. It's likely they'll initiate a similar game there as well. Do you wish to return?" Teresa inquired as she took the bowls. "Hmm, I'm uncertain. If it's feasible, I will, but I won't court unnecessary danger. Not that I have any remaining connections there," Vritra responded with a shrug. "Sigh, we can barely control our own destinies. If the opportunity arises, I'll strive to save them."
"That planet is quite intriguing, and death isn't as commonplace there, is it?" Teresa asked. Vritra shook his head. "Not precisely. That place might be even more perilous than the Zoratian planet. All the politicians pursue their own selfish interests, instigating wars, embezzling funds, and the common populace is powerless to intervene." "Hmm, I suppose every place has its unique set of troubles," Teresa conceded, though a part of her still yearned to witness that world. While they ate, their conversation continued, after which the pair embarked on a leisurely stroll.
Hand in hand, they ambled around the edifice, cherishing the sweet moments. "Hmm, what are those distant specks?" Teresa inquired, pointing into the distance, though Vritra had already taken notice. "No, those are individuals, and a peculiar assembly," Vritra stated, his gaze sharpening. They exited the protective bubble encompassing the building and stood their ground. The distant specks steadily grew larger, and soon their forms became perfectly discernible.
"Aren't those Magna's clones?" Vritra thought, how could he forget that face? Even more so than that 'Sonic' fellow, he longed to inflict agonizing torture upon this wretch. But was the genuine article among them? He had to remain vigilant, as even the system's display hadn't pinpointed the true Magna. Teresa's face was already concealed by a veil, and Vritra donned a mask, after which they resumed walking as if they remained oblivious.
"Should I incapacitate them immediately?" Teresa whispered. "No, do not engage until we are certain the true Magna is present. We cannot afford to let the genuine one elude us once more." "Very well, but once we apprehend him, let's ensure he meets his end after everyone else awakens," she proposed. "Why?" Vritra questioned, believing it would be more prudent to eliminate the threat as swiftly as possible. "Once Diana awakens, we can prolong his torment, and she can heal him, ensuring he truly comprehends the gravity of his transgressions," Teresa explained, a smile gracing her lips. "...Ah, an excellent strategy," Vritra responded, pausing momentarily in surprise before chuckling and commending her idea.
In the distance, over forty figures were rapidly converging towards them. They had already detected the two human figures, and Magna was mingling within the group. He typically preferred to remain concealed in the rear, but at present, he needed to accelerate his clone recruitment. Utilizing clones for back-and-forth journeys would consume an excessive amount of time. "Hold your actions for now; since they are already aware, I might as well attempt to ascertain if they possess any valuable intelligence," Magna commanded. All the clones assented in unison.
THUD THUD THUD. One by one, they all landed before the two veiled figures. Vritra and Teresa abruptly halted, their eyes widening in astonishment, as they both took a step backward. "Hey, hey, do not be alarmed; remain calm. We intend no harm; we are merely passing through," one of the Magnas declared. "W-Why are there so many of you?" Vritra stammered, attempting to discern their abilities. One possessed a barrier capability, some exhibited immense strength, and various others, until he finally identified one with the clone ability. Vritra maintained a facade of impassivity, yet his senses were intensely focused on that individual.
Now, he merely needed to devise a method to confirm if this individual was the true Magna. "Haha, we are all brethren, in fact, we-" another Magna began, only to be abruptly cut off by Vritra. "Was your mother a printing press? She certainly did a phenomenal job of disseminating this 'stuff' far and wide." Poor Vritra found himself struggling against his ingrained habit of delivering sharp retorts; he had intended to feign fear for a while longer. "W-" "What? What?" they all exclaimed in unison, clearly taken aback by the sudden shift in demeanor. "S-Sorry; I used to host live shows back in the day and have a tendency to provide people with reality checks. Please disregard it," Vritra said, making a dismissive gesture. "Huh?" Magna struggled to comprehend this individual, finding him remarkably peculiar.
Vritra’s thoughts raced; thankfully, he hadn't been recognized, or if he had, the other person must be plotting an escape. His demeanor shifted to one of seriousness.
Magna’s eyes shifted from Vritra to the woman beside him. Though her face was concealed, her silhouette alone sent Magna into a dizzy spell.
With a sigh, Vritra stepped forward, positioning himself to block their view. He then inquired, "So, what is it you want from me? If you’re just passing through, then keep on passing.".
"Ugh, why is this guy so difficult to converse with?" Magna thought, suppressing the urge to simply kill him, he forced a pleasant facade.
"Haha, my young friend, you misunderstand me. Before we proceed, there are a few matters I wish to inquire about," Magna stated, a smile strained on his face.
"Directions? Certainly, I can direct you to your destined place, just—" Vritra began, but his words were cut short.
"Stop, not directions. Can you tell if you've encountered any powerful individuals in this vicinity? Perhaps someone with sound abilities, or one who glows, or someone resembling a beast, or anyone exceptionally strong?"
Magna’s objective was to gather intelligence on other players.
"Oh, are you referring to Sonic, Morgan, Crow, Asmodeus, and the others?" Vritra responded, his words sending another wave of shock through all the clones.
"H-How do you know all of them? Who are you?" Magna’s alertness spiked instantly.
"Ah, no, it’s just that I possess the ability to pinpoint the exact location of anyone you desire. Furthermore, I can discern precisely who you are searching for. Hmm, you are also fleeing from someone, aren’t you? Someone named Einstein? No, Eins…" Vritra mused aloud.
"Wait, I see. Your ability is certainly quite useful. Can you assist me in locating some individuals? I am prepared to offer appropriate compensation." Magna had already made his decision.
He intended to turn this person into a clone—how incredibly useful would that be?
However, once they became clones, all their memories would be erased. Therefore, he wished to extract as much information as possible beforehand.
"Oh, certainly. However, there is a condition. If you wish for me to find anyone, you must provide me with a drop of your blood—your original blood, not from any of these illegitimate siblings of yours," Vritra stated, shrugging.
