"I-If he possesses the bubble ability, then it must be Mentro, but totally under Magna's control, already turned into a clone." Asmodeus declared.
"I understand now; he schemed it all from the start." Vritra grasped the full extent of Magna's scheme.
That fellow aimed to manipulate them into eliminating his foe, yet his power was truly bizarre.
Perhaps he rarely lingered in Renko city or simply got fortunate, but survival was no longer an option for him.
'Though I suspect he's long fled the city.' Vritra pondered, then turned his gaze back to Teresa.
"Tess, with the key present, can we activate this ship?"
"Yes, but is the key agreeable?" she inquired, her face lit with an innocent smile beneath the veil.
"Hmm, let's see, so key, are you willing?" Vritra wore a faint smile while eyeing Asmodeus.
The once arrogant, proud, and mighty lord trembled; unaware of their power, he sensed one misstep could spell his doom.
"I-I am! I was destined to serve as a key, d-damn lock, where the hell are you?!!" He frantically scanned around, yet no flying ship appeared.
Teresa summoned the spaceship again and swung the door open, allowing everyone to board.
Before stepping in, Asmodeus couldn't resist shouting at his former allies: "You bastards, all of you can rot in hell!!"
In moments, they were all settled in the control room, lounging on plush seats.
Asmodeus promptly carried out his role as the key and retreated quietly to the side.
Part of him yearned to confront Vritra just to gauge his might, but a deep instinct held him back.
"We're ready!" Teresa announced, and the ship hummed vibrantly before roaring to life.
'Whoa, they actually got it running!!' Asmodeus mused; he'd doubted Vritra's claims, but clearly, they rang true.
Intense heat blasted toward the bloody floor as the vessel started ascending.
"Husband, heading to the tower?" Teresa questioned with thrill.
"No, let's head to Renko city first and inspect it." Vritra responded, eager to investigate.
"Alright, buckle up, everyone!" At her alert, they all secured their seatbelts.
Teresa's position was close to the controls, with more than twenty seats arrayed behind her.
Asmodeus hurried over and claimed a rear seat, ensuring he didn't intrude on the others.
'Heh, this dude could be the humblest player around.' Vritra laughed inwardly at the sight; no surprise he hung with that idiotic crew.
Once it hit a suitable altitude, the flying ship rocketed toward Renko city at blistering speed beyond expectations.
WHOOSH
A blazing trail lingered in its wake, devouring kilometers in mere seconds.
In just minutes, they hovered above Renko city—the very stretch that once demanded hours.
"This is amazing!" Vritra shouted, with the rest equally stunned.
"New slave, whip one up for me too?" Shitless demanded, twisting to face Asmodeus.
"Y-Yes sir, I'll attempt it, though it might fail." Asmodeus answered, seething that even this baldy acted superior.
The flying ship descended gradually toward the city, revealing stark alterations to all.
Vritra's protective bubble had vanished.
Floodwaters inundated the city, painting a picture of utter devastation.
Yet beyond that, not a trace of life registered to Vritra across the whole place.
He exited the ship and soared about, spotting gashes and blood splatters on skyscrapers.
Clearly, every human had been slaughtered prior to the bubble's dissipation.
"Did Magna come back after my departure and massacre them all?" Vritra's face grew grave.
He held no deep affection for those folks, but it fell short of outright loathing.
The senseless slaughter still soured his palate.
First that player Sonic eradicated them, and now Magna followed suit.
These damn players valued life like dirt; sigh, the entire system was rotten.
Hovering high above, Vritra gazed upon the ruined Renko city, every soul extinguished.
Young and old, men and women—all vanished, kids not even spared in the savage slaughter.
His mood soured completely.
That Magna not only escaped but butchered everyone prior to fleeing.
Given his sly nature, Vritra had foreseen Magna wouldn't linger, success or failure.
But his ruthlessness and madness knew no bounds, willing to cross any line for victory.
'He betrayed his own ally, so what else from such a monster?' Vritra shook his head and returned by flight.
"Everyone's dead, Magna's fled. What psychos these pigs are, sigh." Vritra stated upon reboarding.
Asmodeus's heart pounded; he feared Vritra's fury might turn lethal on him.
He remained seated in utter silence, yearning to vanish completely from view.
"Let's head straight for the tower right now—perhaps we'll spot him along the route." Vanessa declared.

"Yeah, and I can dispatch my shadows while you, master, send out your blood clones to hunt for him." Maeve proposed.
"Hmm, let's go ahead with that. Anyway, let's push toward the tower and wrap up this game." He plopped down after unleashing hundreds of blood clones scattering every which way.
Maeve likewise unleashed her shadows in all directions.
The ship then ignited its engines and soared skyward, hurtling at the same blistering pace as before, devouring diesel at a ferocious rate though their supplies overflowed with excess.
Several cities blurred past in minutes; at this velocity, they'd close in on the tower within hours.
Typically, such a trek would drag on for over a week—maybe two—or even beyond.
Vritra sat eyes shut, firing off spiritual pulses as his clones combed through the terrain.
Close to twenty minutes later, Teresa halted the airborne vessel.
The stop came sharp and sudden, despite her preemptive braking.
"What's wrong?" Fiona questioned, having savored the thrilling flight.
"Something massive blocks our path; a detour seems necessary." Teresa responded, staring at the ship's monitor.
"I'll go take a look." Vritra stretched lazily before standing.
He leaped out the moment the doors parted.
'Hold up, now that he's away, should I flee for my life?' Asmodeus pondered, yet these women intimidated him just as fiercely.
Their auras pulsed with such overwhelming might that, even at 2nd Evolution, he sensed his own frailty.
Thus, he opted to stay frozen in place.
Vritra shot forward through the air, picking up an extraordinarily potent life force.
A faint mist hung in the air, yet the gigantic form loomed crystal clear before him—city-sized and piercing the heavens.
Vritra concentrated and pulled up its status window.
"Oh, a whale? It's ballooned to insane proportions." He muttered to himself.
A circular white mass roughly six feet across glided across the mutant whale's azure hide.
It resembled an eye, endlessly rotating over the creature's flesh.
All at once, the eye locked still upon Vritra, unleashing a scream that shredded the ears.
