In Doven City's underground base, the Butcher visited Xander, the stammering leader of the wolves, sharing drinks and tales of chaos, including a bridge collapse that doomed a group of travelers, while arranging for future wolf acquisitions amid their indulgence in slaves. Vritra and his wives, exhausted from intimate hours, ventured out into the darkening streets, where he learned of the Mind Eye Ascension Path—a evolutionary choice post-mutation max—and decided to delay its use. Navigating a shifted landscape with melting ice, they approached a fortified building, confronted wary survivors who mistook them for wolf affiliates, and obtained directions to the wolves' hidden hospital base before departing, unknowingly trailed by a stealthy scout.

Vritra sensed that someone was trailing behind them, yet he paid it no mind since they didn't seem dangerous and lacked any murderous aura.

The hospital appeared ahead in the distance, prompting the group to quicken their pace.

Having a pack of wolves would make journeys far simpler, he mused.

During their trek, Vritra dispatched a handful of mutants, and before long, they reached the vicinity of the hospital.

"Foxie," Vritra whispered, and Maeve caught on immediately, dispelling the enveloping shadows.

They scanned the deserted area, but spotting any hidden underground facility proved challenging.

RUSTLE

Moments later, Vritra picked up on the faint sound of cloth shifting far off.

A band of men observed them from concealment.

Vritra and his companions merely glanced about, pretending to scour the hospital for valuable items.

The men wasted no time relaying the information to Xander.

'Fresh meat for our pups?' Xander pondered, his unique power allowing him to dominate, domesticate, and accelerate the development of mutant wolves.

Right here, they maintained a farm for these mutant wolves.

'Time to snag these sheep!' A wicked grin twisted across his face as he schemed.

"W- W- Where J- J- J-" he stuttered, true to form.

"I'll fetch Junior at once, boss." His subordinate grasped the intent and finished the thought.

He rushed to retrieve Junior, only to discover the man thoroughly inebriated, swaying side to side.

It took a series of sharp slaps before Junior could stumble along unsteadily.

"L- L- L-"

"Let's fucking goooo~" Junior slurred, letting out a belch.

Ever the prudent one, Xander assembled his crew swiftly and prepared them for any surprises.

His wary disposition had kept him alive through the early chaos.

"Seems like they're on their way, ladies—get set to play your parts perfectly." Vritra remarked, relishing the thrill of this hunt.

Shortly, the sound of multiple footsteps echoed, revealing more than a dozen men, with the intoxicated Junior at their forefront.

Xander lurked among his followers, while the rest stayed tucked away in the gloom.

"W- W- woo iieee sii" Xander uttered, nudging Junior.

"I am the cum *hic* mander, of this army." Junior bellowed, then continued:

"Boss says, I am Xander, and welcome to our great *hic* cunt." He tacked on.

Stunned silence gripped both parties, the fur-clad men eyeing Xander with bewilderment.

"woo iiee baa" Xander blurted out in haste.

"Boss says, idiot, I meant cult not *hic* cunt" After a brief hesitation, he gestured toward Vritra's group and added: "And *hic* stop your *hic*cups!"

"…" Vritra eyed them oddly, then inquired warily.

"Who are you people? I want no trouble, we will be on our way right away."

"iie saa roo maa" Xander waved his hands with a friendly look and prodded Junior once more.

"Boss says, I am not a bad guy, I am the admin *hic* ass *hic* trator of justice here, a prosti *hic* tutor of good." Junior declared, teetering back and forth.

"Huh? Ass traitor of justice? Prostitutor of good?" Onest echoed the phrases, as puzzled stares turned toward Xander, whose face flushed with fury.

"IEEE AA WOOII SAAII" he bellowed at the top of his lungs.

"Boss says, you stupid bastard when *hic* did I say that?!! Tell them that I am only a dik *hic* tator to bad people! Make no mistakes this time." Junior yelled back.

"He is dick for bad people?" Shitless wondered aloud, finding these folks utterly bizarre.

Fury boiled over in Xander this time. With a signal, Junior got hauled off, dunked until sober, and shoved back soaking wet.

"COUGH COUGH boss says, I welcome you all in our Wolves cult, you can rest here as there is plenty food available and we are in need of some man power for small tasks."

"Oh really, you have enough food for us all?" Vritra responded, feigning astonishment as he stepped closer.

The opposing group froze in awe upon noticing the seven stunning women, even though Teresa's features remained veiled.

They gawked, utterly captivated.

"I am Adam, are you the leader?" Vritra questioned, snapping them out of their daze.

'Could these be the ones that lusty butcher mentioned? These women are beyond beautiful—how have they made it this far?' Xander reeled more than during the apocalypse's onset.

'Perfect. The three men become fodder, and these beauties are mine. I could spare a few for butcher.' Schemes already formed in his mind.

If they joined of their own accord, splendid; if not, he'd force the issue.

"iie aa ziee" he murmured, and Junior interpreted:

"Boss says, yes I am the leader, Xander. Please follow us to our humble base, you can even live here permanently if you wish. Only by flocking together can we actually survive in this apocalypse."

"Thank you, we are all really exhausted and are lucky to find a home. Thank you very much." Vritra replied, with the others voicing agreement.

Amid light conversation, they headed to a seamlessly concealed spot.

In short order, one fellow activated his power to shift the concrete, unveiling stairs descending below.

"Don't worry, the people here are really kind, you are all going to love this place." Junior assured, sneaking peeks at the women trailing Vritra, who obstructed his line of sight.

He suppressed a chuckle—these sheep were marching straight into the jaws of the beast.

Once below, Vritra and his group were guided to quarters, where they observed numerous men living quite comfortably.

Yet it was evident they all belonged to the Wolves crew.

"You all can rest here, we will call you later when it is time to eat. At that time we will explain everything and give you a tour of this place." Junior conveyed.

Vritra nodded appreciatively, and they proceeded to the distant rooms.

Inside, Vritra settled on the bed, gazing at his wives with a grin.

"Looks like this will be easy, after getting the mutant wolves we will kill butcher and continue forward." He stated.

"Yes hubby, it was really funny to see those guys act so smug, as if we are already in their trap." Yasmine laughed softly, eager for the moment the true carnage unfolded.

Butcher's outpost lay somewhat distant from the Wolves' lair, but he sped there in his cart without delay.

Upon arrival, however, he detected something off—bloodstains and traces of combat littered the area.

Rage surged through him as he scowled. Whether mutants or fellow humans had assaulted his stronghold, the latter prospect infuriated him most.

He vowed to massacre any who dared invade his domain.

Venturing in, he encountered a large contingent that had breached and seized control.

Fresh conflict erupted between the factions, and in mere moments, Butcher found himself overpowered.

Grasping the dire circumstances, he yielded promptly—the rival leader exuded overwhelming dread.

"You are smart, boy. Behave and I might just allow you to join my group." The band's chief ruffled his hair.

This was one of the ten players, darting from city to city to recruit followers and bolster his might.

His grand ambition mirrored others: ascending the tower.

"Y- Yes sir." Butcher murmured submissively.

"My Ascension path is made just for me heh, this feeling is wonderful. I sensed a powerful presence here earlier, looks like we are getting another member."

He proclaimed to his fifty-strong assembly.
