Wearing a grave look, Vritra started revealing every detail he'd uncovered from the Divine to them.
Shock rippled through all the women once the true mastermind behind these events came to light.
"Argento? Those filthy pigs, just to eliminate future rivals they've stooped this low!!" Yasmine spat out in anger, though the ugliness of the world didn't surprise her at all.
Folks frequently committed far worse atrocities just to advance their own interests.
"Yeah, these shifts began right around when their contests kicked off, so there's definitely a connection." Vanessa murmured softly.
"S- So it's been going on that long? We can join you, can't we?" Diana inquired, struck by how much time was left in the ongoing game.
"Yes, I couldn't possibly stay calm leaving you all behind like this." Vritra replied, since being apart from his wives for such an extended period would wreck his mental state.
"Hmm, so when do we set off?" Fiona wondered, prepared to tackle whatever trials came her way as long as Vritra stayed by her side.
"Once you've all finished taking in the core's power and hit demi god status. That's our departure point." He responded.
Teresa absorbed the entire conversation as well. Beyond that, joy surged within her seeing Vritra fully recovered now.
From the instant he stepped into the chamber, her eyes fixed entirely on him.
She could truly behold him, and he appeared in much better shape than her senses had suggested.
"Husband, do we need any preparations? Should I craft some useful artifacts?" she inquired, with ideas already flooding her thoughts.
"No need for that, it turns out once the game begins, we'll all start from the same power level. Items from this place won't help, neither will our mana or power."
Vritra explained, detailing the game's tough challenges for them.
The others had been playing for almost half a year already, and they were entering way behind.
Their risks would undoubtedly spike as a result.
"We get it, hubby, when we're in there we'll stay cautious and back you up as much as we can." Yasmine assured him.
A smile crossed Vritra's face, since his women—particularly Yasmine and Vanessa—had always been his strongest pillars.
Without them in his world, he might have shed all compassion and reason ages ago.
"I know that, but right now, I need you all concentrating on drawing in the core's energy." He instructed, with a couple more matters demanding his attention too.
"Got it, we'll give it everything we've got." Diana declared with fierce resolve, regretting that even her elixirs couldn't tag along.
Yet among the women Vritra had ravished and exhausted through the previous day and night, Diana stood out as the most strained.
Sitting straight was a real struggle for her.
Vritra had claimed the goddess's rear entrance this time, stuffing both her openings repeatedly.
That's why she fidgeted now and then, both spots overly tender.
Before long, they each headed to private chambers and poured their efforts into growing stronger.
Only Teresa lingered behind, her body still frail.
Losing her fate line had hit harder than expected, impacting even her flesh and form.
"Husband, will I just drag you down?" Teresa wondered after a pause, her eyes fixed on him.
After all, her main talent lay in forging various treasures, but that might prove useless in the game.
Plus, she lacked the ruthless edge of his other spouses, unable even to harm a soul.
Naturally, such doubts weighed on her.
"Never, you'll never burden me. You're my wife. We back each other—I stand by you, you stand by me. No need to force yourself into anything that bothers you. I'll handle the killing for you." He assured her, tenderly stroking her cheek.
"Tsk" A faint noise rang suddenly in Vritra's mind, as if the empress felt a twinge of envy.
But that was okay, since he intended to present her with a special gift shortly, one she'd surely adore.
"So push those pointless worries aside, I'm certain you'll find your place once we're there."
They talked a bit more, until she finally slipped into slumber.
Luckily, she could continue pulling in the energy while asleep.
Vritra tucked the covers around her snugly, planted a kiss on her brow, then stepped out of the chamber.
"Haa, before heading out, I've got some loose ends to tie up." Vritra muttered to himself.
He had preparations to make during his wives' cultivation sessions.
Once he confirmed the home's safety, he soared away.
…
Shitless and Onest had made their way back to the Yate realm, and since they were Vritra's allies, Gunter set up quarters for them once more.
Bullo remained there too, of course.
It wasn't long before Vritra reached the Yate realm, intending to catch up with Gunter and Ava as well.
They had to know by now about the wedding chaos.
With all the frost vanished, warmth had returned sharply, letting folks venture outside without issue.
A full day later, the radiation from Vritra's Golden Moon effect had worn off everyone.
As he strode toward Gunter's office, Vritra pondered: 'I still have to handle the Divine Kage, those higher ranks won't go down easy.'
Even the divine retributions could prove a hassle if unleashed in numbers, though they couldn't finish him off anymore.
And he held that fishing rod in reserve too.
"Art!! You're back at last, are you okay? I caught wind of the Ford realm mess, you didn't take any injuries, right?" Gunter beamed, thrilled to see his son again.
Drawn by his booming tone, his spouse emerged from the inner room.
Right away, the pair enveloped him, inspecting every inch and embracing tightly.
"Yeah, I'm good, I slipped out of there ahead of time." He only kept his Art Yates persona hidden for their sake.
If not, he wouldn't care who learned the truth.
He simply couldn't bear wounding them, least of all Ava, who might not survive the full revelation.
"That's a relief, son, you ought to steer clear of the Fords—they're nothing but headaches." Gunter advised, curious if Art had sensed the danger beforehand.
That's why he'd urged him to skip the place.
"Yes, I never cared for them much to begin with." He replied, flashing a small grin.
"Have you had a meal? Let me whip up something tasty for you." Ava offered, tugging his arm toward the eating space.
"No worries, I've eaten already. I just dropped by to say I'm alright and check on my buddies." He said, halting Ava gently.
"Oh yeah, someone stopped by for you yesterday." Gunter chimed in, recalling the detail.
"Who was it?" Vritra probed, intrigued.
"Rich from the Ford clan, I said I wasn't sure when you'd return, but he insisted on sticking around." Gunter answered with a shrug.
"If you'd like, I can send him packing."
"No, that's alright, I'll talk to him." Vritra cut in, harboring no grudge against Rich.
Apart from Teresa, he came across as the sole decent soul there.
"Where's he at?" Vritra questioned.
"Hmm, I believe he's hanging out with your pals, what were they called? That monk fellow and Onest." Gunter responded.
