Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 606 I LOVE YOU~

Previously on Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill...
Vritra unleashed brutal torture on the captured Twilight lords, using scorching dust monsters to tear apart their bodies and a chimera to devour their escaping souls, instilling terror in the survivors, especially Red, who recognized the demon's ruthless return. Demanding answers about the mysterious spores and transformations, Vritra executed seventeen lords one by one when they claimed ignorance, their desperate lies failing to deceive him. He extracted the location of Red's cloning ability from the traitor's mind via Psyche, dispatching Onest to steal it, before allowing his wives to vent their fury on Red and subjecting the barely alive man to cycles of healing and agony until his death. Emerging from the dimensional book, Vritra reunited with his wives and the exhausted Teresa, who had completed a device to halt the encroaching ice and spores, only for her to collapse from fatigue as he prepared to activate it.

As Vritra approached the window, he suddenly spotted Teresa collapsing.

"TESS!!" He swiftly caught her before she could tumble down, cradling her softly in his embrace while his heart raced with worry, repeatedly shouting her name.

He carried her over to the bed and placed her there with care, then placed a hand on her forehead.

"She's running a fever?" Shock hit Vritra upon sensing the scorching heat radiating from her skin.

Being at the lord rank, how could a simple sickness like this strike her down?

Her breaths came in quick gasps, and upon closer inspection, small spots resembling freckles dotted her cheeks and arms.

"What's going on here?" His brow creased in concern, a wave of dread washing over him—forget helping anyone else when his own wife faced such peril.

Yasmine, Fiona, Diana, and Vanessa hurried over, examining the signs of her ailment.

"She definitely looks sick—maybe it's tied to those spores?" Yasmine wondered, her connection to her sister having grown even stronger lately.

"Spores? Yet none of the other lords we've encountered showed any effects at all." Fiona replied, her voice laced with unease.

"Plus, she's been shielded by all those honey barriers the whole time—I doubt a single spore got near her." Vanessa murmured thoughtfully.

Vritra rubbed her hand gently, settling down next to her to scan for further indications.

"But don't you recall her well-known title?" Diana pointed out, prompting everyone to reflect and remember.

The Fate Stealer, the unluckiest yet most compassionate witch.

"Do you believe this stems from the misfortune woven into her destiny?" Vritra questioned, his eyebrows knitting together.

"Yes, based on the stories I've heard, she draws misfortune like a magnet. That's why I suspect her state ties into these abrupt shifts." Yasmine responded, before proposing:

"What if we give her some healing potions to drink?"

"I doubt they'd make much difference right now." Diana countered, her expanded expertise in potions giving her insight into numerous illnesses and how the body works.

"If I'm correct, she ought to regain consciousness in a few hours, but without treatment, her bouts of sleep will lengthen and her strength will fade further." She continued, even if she couldn't guarantee it completely.

"…" Anxiety gripped Vritra tighter—how could they heal an affliction they understood so little?

The roots of those spores remained a total mystery, with no clue if they arose naturally or through foul play.

'Divine…' Vritra pleaded inwardly over and over, but silence met him each time, fueling his frustration.

He directed much of that anger inward, for failing to safeguard his loved ones.

"Is there… truly nothing we can do at this point?" he inquired in despair, drawing Teresa nearer into his hold.

"Alas, no—it's beyond our control, so all we can manage is to attempt what we can." Diana answered, sharing his sense of powerlessness.

After more than seven hours ticked by, Teresa's eyelids at last fluttered with movement.

Vritra, who hadn't let her go from his arms throughout, caught the subtle shift immediately.

At last, Teresa's eyes parted, and she gazed about in bewilderment.

"Tess, how do you feel?" Vritra inquired softly.

"What occurred?" She reached for her head, as though it throbbed.

"You passed out abruptly." Yasmine explained, assessing her state.

"Passed out? I'm not sure what caused it, but I feel so drained everywhere…" Teresa replied faintly.

Glancing at her own form, she spotted the tiny speckled marks scattered across her arms.

"Drained… could drawing power from that planet core ease it?" Vritra suggested, recalling the core's presence.

Not pausing for replies, he drew forth the energy from the core in the adjacent room and channeled it her way.

"Absorb it and let me know if it helps." Vritra urged, clinging to any hope that it might.

"Mhmm." Teresa agreed with a nod, her complexion ghostly pale. As she started taking in the energy, the ache eased considerably, and vitality returned somewhat.

"I'm feeling somewhat improved." Teresa stated moments later, slipping into contemplation as pieces fell into place.

Sorrow clouded her expression shortly after, leading her to question: "Is this due to my cursed fate? I— I worry that even you all could suffer because of my influence—"

"Shh, just concentrate on recovering now—no need for such negative ideas. We'll definitely uncover a fix." Vritra assured her firmly, despite the turmoil churning inside him.

Teresa sensed deep down that her fateful misfortune had summoned this illness, likely linked to the spores as well.

"Husband, did you install that device yet?" A sudden recollection prompted her to ask.

"Not yet." Vritra denied, offering a soft smile.

"I'm recovering already, so go on and activate it—it'll benefit us all immensely." She encouraged.

Vritra agreed with a nod, and minutes later, he took to the skies, his mind weighed down heavily.

He ascended aimlessly, starting the setup as doubts swirled endlessly in his thoughts.

Was there truly no way for him to aid her?

Vritra summoned his status panel, scanning through his abilities that now appeared utterly pointless.

He kept scrolling to the bottom without spotting anything helpful, yet he halted, his eyes drifting upward once more.

They fixed on a single entry.

"This could really do the trick, but is it safe?" he pondered. Selecting it might rescue Teresa, yet it risked his own well-being.

Uncertainty lingered on whether it offered a lasting remedy or would succeed at all.

Yet for the sake of saving Teresa, his lovely and gentle spouse, Vritra resolved to gamble.

He finished the preparations swiftly, then channeled a massive surge of energy.

Before long, an unseen shield expanded outward, halting the ice's advance and dissolving it, while also repelling the spores and ejecting them from the planet.

It even drew back those that had settled on the ground.

Vritra funneled in more and more power, the effort draining him greatly—to envelop the whole world, he depleted over three-quarters of his mana reserves.

The task spanned more than five hours, but surveying the scene, Vritra watched the snow melt away.

The terrain cleared up, and the spores ceased their spread.

"Her gift is incredible, sigh—what a prodigy." Vritra murmured, shaking his head; both siblings excelled in their unique domains.

He lingered a moment to confirm all was well, then Vritra prepared to depart.

This shield would endure for at least a month, after which he'd need to renew it—unless Teresa found a way to extend its duration.

Speeding back through the air, he neared his home, where the women remained gathered by Teresa's side.

"Husband, how is she holding up?" Yennefer's voice echoed suddenly in his thoughts.

Though unfamiliar with her yet, Yennefer recognized that as family now, she'd need to build rapport.

"Not great—we're all clueless about what sparked these events or how to counter them." Vritra responded.

"Hmm, could you briefly recap what unfolded after I vanished?" Yennefer requested; Vanessa had shared plenty, but curiosities lingered.

"Sure." Vritra assented and eased his flight, recounting events from right after his faked demise.

He withheld no details, revealing it all.

"Oh, the Divine isn't answering anymore?" Yennefer probed, her surprise clear.

"Correct, and since Tess is his sibling, I'm baffled why he stays silent when he could surely assist." Vritra explained.

"This situation is tricky—have you come up with any ideas?" Yennefer inquired, knowing well the extremes Vritra would reach for his kin.

"Yes, something minor." Vritra replied evasively as he landed.

Their conversation stretched a bit more before he reentered his chamber.

"Any improvements?" Vritra queried.

"Nothing major—we're monitoring her closely. That core's energy is providing some relief, at least." Diana reported.

Still, it merely delayed the illness, not eradicated it.

"Could you all give us some privacy for a moment?" Vritra requested, his expression grave.

Though eager to learn his discoveries, his other wives simply agreed and stepped out, leaving the pair solitary.

Teresa rested on the bed, eyes shut, steadily drawing in the energy.

His voice stirred her, and she lifted her lids feebly to meet his gaze. She even fretted that proximity might spread her affliction to him.

"Husband, we can't be certain if this sickness is cont—" Teresa began, but Vritra silenced her with a finger to her soft lips.

"Shh, no words." He instructed, settling beside her and tenderly stroking her hair.

"Are you content with our life together? Any regrets about marrying me?" he wondered.

"…" Teresa remained quiet, drawing a light laugh from Vritra.

"Fine, go ahead and talk." He permitted, planting a kiss on her brow.

"Regret it? Never—this has been the greatest blessing in my life. Every instant since our union has brought joy; I… love you." Teresa confessed, a blush tinting her cheeks.

"I was so opposed to the wedding at first, yet I never imagined my hidden bride would turn out to be such an amazing woman. I'm truly thankful fate unfolded as it did.

Your compassion, your bashful purity, your radiant smile, your alluring fragrance. Haha, even your sassy side—I adore it all about you." Vritra expressed deliberately.

Under normal circumstances, such sentiments might embarrass, but now their feelings resonated deeply between them.

Shyness lingered for Teresa, yet his affectionate words filled her with bliss, banishing the ache and discomfort in a flash.

"I love you, Tess." Vritra murmured, bending to claim her plush ebony lips with his own.
