Vritra sensed a shift in his dimensional book and rushed to aid the disintegrating pill, revealing Yennefer's weakened soul on the brink of death. Pouring soul potions and enveloping her with Nihil Anima, he frantically restored her strength until she regained consciousness, dazed from her apparent demise and a year-long dream of their life together. Emerging into the marriage hall, Yennefer reunited joyfully with his other wives but froze upon seeing the unfamiliar Teresa, prompting Fiona to explain her status as Vritra's seventh wife in a moment laced with subtle revenge.

Fiona, Diana, Vanessa, Maeve, Yennefer, Teresa, Yasmine.

Fiona kept going without hesitation, a grin spreading across her features as she declared: "Teresa, kindly introduce yourself and your bond with hubby."

"Oh!" Teresa stood there shyly, hearing them discuss her, and somehow Yennefer's aura left her feeling uneasy.

With a nod, she replied: "H-Hello, I'm Teresa Arclis. I'm husband's wife-"

Vritra cocked his head the opposite way; that sealed his fate completely, his own doom.

He shot a look at Fiona, who appeared thoroughly satisfied, and resolved to get even with her soon.

Later on, he'd make her suffer so intensely that she'd be stuck in bed for days.

"Ah, so you refer to him as husband?" Yennefer inquired, her smile present yet icy cold.

"Y-Yes..." Teresa responded, glancing about anxiously, unsure of the situation unfolding.

She remained unaware of many details concerning Vritra.

"I understand, how delightful that is, husband? The moment I vanish, you secure a substitute for me?" Yennefer's grin vanished at last, fury rising toward Vritra.

After her death, he'd simply welcomed another woman; bitterness and envy gripped her. She recalled vividly how, after her own error, he'd vanished from her existence.

The pain it inflicted lingered, yet now he stood as the offender.

"No, she's not a substitute or similar; allow me to clarify-" Vritra attempted, despite the marriage being imposed on him, from her perspective it seemed like betrayal.

"Hmph, what's there to clarify? Is that the worth of all my affection to you?" Yennefer's lovely expression grew sorrowful as she pivoted away, refusing to meet his eyes.

"Hey, why is everyone just frozen in place? Assist me! What about that dream, wifey, mom..." Vritra pleaded, appearing utterly helpless, while the odd background sounds only worsened matters.

"You animals, keep it quiet!!" Vritra snapped, and the clamor died down right away.

"Hehe, naturally hubby, but when will our formal ceremony occur?" Yasmine questioned with a soft chuckle.

She'd anticipated this reaction, which was why she'd instructed Teresa to address him as hubby too.

"The instant Yenni's body returns, I swear!" Vritra affirmed earnestly; he despised seeing Yennefer distressed over him.

Freshly back, he yearned to converse endlessly with her, remain by her side.

"Haha, okay, that's sufficient teasing. Honey, I'll sort this out." Vanessa, his cherished mother, finally intervened.

"Thanks, mom." Vritra exhaled in relief, then turned to the anxious Teresa, who seemed convinced she'd stirred up problems.

Vanessa and Yasmine drew Yennefer aside to reveal the full story.

Teresa approached Vritra hesitantly and whispered: "Husb- did I err somehow?"

Unlike Yennefer's bold demeanor, she came across as fragile and gentle; Vritra denied it with a head shake and a comforting pat.

"No, none of this is our doing; it's merely fate and situations toying with us. Relax, Tess, Yenni is truly compassionate and warmhearted." He assured her.

Teresa agreed with a nod; as the latest addition to the household, even amid the kindness from all, she required time to settle in.

Diana stepped nearer to her, with multiple barriers shielding Teresa, ensuring no risk of unintended contact.

The goddess then eased her worries, tending to her like a little sister.

Vritra eyed Fiona and strode over. Silently, he delivered a smack to her rear, prompting a startled yelp from her.

"Ouch." She massaged her backside, then giggled, wrapping her arms around Vritra.

"Hehe, apologies, are you mad at me? I was only playing around before, ahh~" she murmured playfully.

Yet Vritra gripped her tender spot, his digits pressing into the plush, heated skin.

"You've gone too far now; prepare for my payback." Vritra warned, naturally without true anger toward her.

These were mere lighthearted exchanges between spouses, though his intent for retribution remained firm.

Minutes later, Yasmine came back, as Vanessa continued her discussion with Yennefer.

"Hubby, perhaps we should head home first? Handling family matters exposed like this isn't ideal." The dragoness suggested.

Vritra agreed, then faced Shitless and Onest far off.

"Will you manage affairs here? I'll station Hellmancer for backup."

"Sure, you poor soul..." Shitless replied, offering a supportive gaze.

"Yes, no issue. Hardly anything remains regardless." Onest added.

"Fine, let's depart-" Vritra addressed his wives but halted, his attention shifting to the platform.

Shen, Tiny, and her impending spouse Jean lingered there, with Sir Giant out cold.

In a flash, he vanished and reappeared next to Jean, leaving the man stunned.

"S-Spare me, please SOB" he pleaded immediately, his visage streaked with tears and mucus.

Vritra's intimidating presence proved overwhelming, causing him to soil himself shortly after, a puddle of stench spreading beneath.

Vritra retreated, surprised by the extreme response.

"Well, I only arrived to offer congratulations to you both; haha, you pair seem well-matched. Jean, huh, pfft, excellent pick." He remarked mockingly, then vanished once more.

Jean collapsed in a heap, trembling and stunned by the statement. Glancing at Tiny nearby, his face twisted unpleasantly; he truly wished to avoid wedding her.

"Let's move." Vritra materialized again and told his wives.

Thus, the octet journeyed toward their residence. He observed Vanessa and Yennefer chatting, wishing she'd comprehend and forgive him.

Yet excuses eluded him; he grasped the source of her resentment fully.

Upon exiting the Ford realm, they soared upward.

Just as Vritra prepared to activate a portal to their home, he stopped and peered at the snowy expanse below.

Shock widened his eyes at the bizarre scene.

Odd bugs, creatures, and even foliage dotted the snow everywhere; they appeared... altered.

"What's happening?" His wives halted too.

Yennefer gazed downward, pondering how drastically things had shifted since her absence.

The world below scarcely resembled the planet she'd once known.

Spotting various shapes in the air, numerous twisted birds charged at them.

Ground dwellers assaulted as well.

A mere mental command burst all their heads, sending the grotesque remains tumbling down.

"Hubby, this... appears linked to those spores, and such rapid transformations are occurring across the board." Yasmine noted, surveying the area.

Ground corpses vanished swiftly into other beasts' maws, and right away, their power seemed to rise a touch.

It felt like an immense catastrophe loomed over the world.

"This isn't like those trials, so what's the cause? Where do these spores originate?" Vritra concentrated and observed the minuscule spores had transformed too.

Acting like live entities, they squirmed and hummed, latching onto whatever they encountered.

Regular flora and fauna all displayed signs of influence.

Then how fared humans and fellow races?

"We head home now." Vritra's face grew grave as he declared; answers would come solely from the divine.

Skipping the portal, they raced through the skies, scrutinizing the alterations.

The further they went, the grimmer their looks became; the snow alone had strained lives greatly.

But this felt like the planet's demise had arrived.
