Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill Chapter 544 For the Greater Good

Vritra discovered a glass ball containing a violent tornado, a clue to locating Yennefer. Teresa revealed it was a bomb she created using a gift from the Star family, who are researching various realms. Vritra, seeking to find Yennefer, borrowed the bomb. Teresa felt neglected by his immediate focus on the object, but Vritra later consoled her and learned her blindness stemmed from stealing Darius's fate. They then fell asleep embracing.

Oracle sat within a grand hall, his eyes scanning several documents as he reviewed various reports.

Five other chairs occupied the space; however, most of the previous occupants had perished in the last conflict, leaving the seats filled by newcomers.

With the exception of Oracle and Big Guy, the roster had completely changed. The twins were gone, Pink had been slain, and Sir Giant had chosen retirement.

Consequently, four fresh faces now occupied those positions. This time, Oracle had hand-picked individuals he knew he could dominate without effort.

Even though their collective power had dwindled, there were no immediate dangers to worry about.

"Twilight… have you uncovered any of their strongholds yet?" he asked, shifting his gaze toward the group.

Aside from Big Guy, everyone present was his subordinate. Even Big Guy, despite his lack of intelligence, followed Oracle's lead faithfully.

"Yes, we managed to pin down a base within the Quartz continent, situated near the frontier," one of the four answered. These four lords possessed no real influence over major decisions.

Nevertheless, they were simply content to hold such prestigious ranks.

"Excellent. The succubus and phoenix tribes have been stepping out of line lately; they require a lesson in discipline," Oracle whispered. He intended to exploit this situation to strike both races using someone else's hand.

"What are your commands, sir?" inquired one man, who was draped in garments far too large for his frame.

This individual also possessed the power to transform into a titan, though he was nowhere near the scale or raw power of Sir Giant.

"Exercise patience for a moment. I have several demons under my thumb. We shall deploy them to resolve all our complications simultaneously," he replied, already crafting a strategy to eliminate every obstacle.

He needed to exert enough pressure on all the empresses to force them to lend their strength to Golden Moon.

"Hmm, moving on… oh!" Oracle suddenly blurted out, his eyes catching a significant piece of news.

At last, the identity of the legendary witch, the stealer of fate, had been exposed. Whoever managed to recruit her would see their power skyrocket.

"We cannot permit an entity of such magnitude to remain with another faction or clan. It says here she recently wed into the Yate family."

Oracle pondered to himself; if his intuition was correct, the Fords wouldn't simply let her walk away.

They would likely utilize family ties, the guise of protection, or any other excuse to keep her confined. He was intimately familiar with such manipulations.

"You, go there and escort Teresa Ford back here. It wouldn't be a bad idea for her to step into Yennefer’s old role. Failure is not an option; she must be brought into our fold.

If anyone tries to stop you, you are authorized to use violence or kill, provided you don't take it too far."

Oracle commanded. Despite the heavy casualties they had suffered, he had significantly bolstered the overall might of Golden Moon.

Furthermore, he had instilled an even deeper sense of dread regarding the organization in the hearts of the public.

"Regarding her husband, Art Yates—gather more intel on him. He took down a lord in a heartbeat? How intriguing…" Oracle issued a few final directives before dismissing the group.

He had already secured a new vessel for himself, one far more potent than his previous form, though it had required a few sacrifices for the sake of the greater good.

"It appears things are about to get interesting once more." He attempted to peer into the future, but his vision remained clouded.

Meanwhile, in the Ford realm,

Vritra was lost in a peaceful slumber. Yasmine had risen early and departed to handle some business.

Since her kingdom was currently in a state of recovery, her leadership was still required from time to time.

Teresa was also sleeping soundly, curled up in Vritra’s embrace as they lay face-to-face.

In the depths of sleep, her guards were down; her arms were hooked around him while their legs were intertwined.

Her soft breasts were pressed firmly against his chest, yielding slightly against his body.

Vritra was the first to stir, awakened by faint sounds in the distance.

The moment his eyes flickered open, he was met by her stunning face. She appeared so pure and radiant…

He felt a sudden urge to keep her tucked in his arms forever, shielding her from the world.

'We’re heading back today—' Vritra’s thought trailed off as a realization hit him.

He didn't actually have a home to call his own yet. He had spent his life drifting from one spot to another, never finding a place to plant roots.

For the time being, they would return to the Yate realm, but he was determined to find a residence that surpassed all others.

Keeping that goal in mind, he suddenly remembered something else.

'That’s right, I haven’t checked the title I earned yesterday: Husband of Fate Reaver.'

Without a second thought, he inhaled deeply, savoring her scent as he pulled her slightly closer.

He then summoned his status screen and navigated straight to the title section.

[Husband of Fate Reaver]

[Description]: You are the soul mate of the Stealer of Fate; even when distanced, your connection remains unbroken. Bound together eternally, you both weave the tapestry of each other's destiny.

At times, you may shoulder her burden and act as the stealer yourself—the knight of fate.

No power can manipulate or perceive your shared destinies. As the Knight of Fate, you must safeguard the witch.

(Steal meter: 1 remaining)

Vritra scanned the text, feeling a wave of astonishment.

He was already committed to protecting her; he didn't need a system notification to tell him that.

'So I have the ability to steal fate once? I wonder how I can refill that charge. Also, do I need to track down Jack now?'

Vritra stroked her back tenderly, his palms brushing against the soft material of her clothes.

"Mmm…" Teresa finally began to wake, letting out a sigh of pure satisfaction. It had been an eternity since she had enjoyed such a restful sleep, free from terrors or the fear of betrayal.

Beyond that, the warmth of the embrace was wonderful. After a few seconds, the reality of her marriage came rushing back.

Her eyelids fluttered open, revealing dark eyes that seemed somewhat vacant, and she realized Vritra was watching her.

As she noticed their intimate positions, a flush of red immediately rushed to her face.

"Good morning, my Tess," Vritra murmured, reaching out to stroke her hair gently.

"G- Good morning…" Overwhelmed by shyness, she instinctively tried to create some distance.

"Is something wrong? Do you dislike being held like this? If so—" Vritra sighed with feigned disappointment, beginning to retract his arms.

Recalling the loneliness she had felt before, she quickly lunged back toward him, speaking in a rush.

"I like it."

"I'm glad to hear that." Vritra grinned and pulled her back into his chest, slowly beginning to understand her personality.

"Did you have a good rest?" he inquired, his fingers tracing slow patterns across her back, sending shivers through her.

"Y- Yes…" She shifted slightly in his hold, though she clearly enjoyed the sensation.

"We’ll be leaving this place shortly. Does that make you sad?" Vritra closed his eyes, listening to the melodic quality of her voice as if it were a song.

"…Not exactly, though I’ll certainly miss Rich and the others," Teresa answered. However, as long as her husband was by her side, she felt everything would be alright.

She had entrusted herself to him, and so far, it appeared to be the wisest decision she had ever made.

The couple lingered in bed, talking softly, reluctant to break the comfort of their embrace.

Their peace was shattered by a violent pounding on the door.

BANG BANG

It sounded as though someone was trying to break the wood down in a fit of rage.

Scowling, Vritra pulled away and tossed the covers aside, standing up and stretching his limbs.

"Oh!" Teresa sat upright, her expression a mix of shock and resignation.

Vritra stepped toward the door and swung it open, revealing a slender woman with a twisted, angry face.
