Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability Chapter 5 - The Floor Is So Cold

Previously on Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability...
Aunt Wang threatens An Jiuyue to sell her son Rong’er after receiving payment, insisting she won't return the money despite An Jiuyue's refusal. When An Jiuyue suggests involving the village Chief and Junior Officer to find other willing families, Aunt Wang grows furious and vows to drag the child away by force. In response, An Jiuyue lifts Aunt Wang by the collar and throws her out the treehouse window, leaving her with only superficial wounds amid the heavy rain. From the window, An Jiuyue taunts the cursing Aunt Wang, framing the fall as an accident and warning her against returning to the mountain.

“You… you…”

Anger caused Aunt Wang to shake uncontrollably. The finger she aimed at An Jiuyue began to quiver as well.

“Little b*tch, just you wait!”

In a verbal battle, she stood no chance against An Jiuyue. Her plan was to head home, share this incident with her relatives, and return to the mountain in a group to confront her.

With those vicious words spat out, she spun on her heel and limped off, grinding her teeth against the agony from her injuries.

“Mother, will that bad person return? She’s so wicked. Will she gather folks to harm you?”

Tears welled up in the eyes of the boy next to Rong’er. He gazed at An Jiuyue with a cute expression and whispered softly.

Granny Wang hadn’t just tried to sell his brother; she had struck his mother and left her lying there after she passed out. Early spring brought chilly ground.

He and his little brother had exerted every bit of effort to rouse their mother.

“She won’t, Zheng’er. Be a good boy and quit crying.”

An Jiuyue knelt down, pulling the pair into her embrace and soothing them tenderly.

“You be good too, Rong’er. I’m incredibly strong. Regardless of how many people that granny rallies, none of them can defeat me. Remember earlier? I flung her away using just one hand.”

Today had surely terrified the two boys senseless. Her heart ached seeing them endure such ordeals so young.

“Mother, she isn’t a granny. She’s a bad person.”

Zheng’er nestled his face into his mother’s chest and murmured dejectedly.

“You never agreed to anything, yet she claimed you promised to sell Rong’er. She’s a deceiver! A huge deceiver!”

“That’s correct, Zheng’er speaks true. That woman is a massive deceiver.”

An Jiuyue repeated the boy’s statement. Aunt Wang truly wasn’t a decent soul.

A kind person wouldn’t attempt to exploit others for profit. Besides, the original host had indeed never consented to selling Rong’er.

After all, she had hoped the boys would mature and support her in time.

Sadly, fate hadn’t favored her that way.

“Zheng’er, Rong’er, should Mommy ever be away and you spot that bad person later on, make sure to steer clear of her. Stay out of her sight, alright?”

Internally sighing, she gave the gentle directive.

“Okay.”

The boys nodded with grave determination.

Their compliance warmed her, so An Jiuyue extended a hand to stroke their cheeks. Rising, she guided them to the bed for some rest.

Before long, she settled them and stepped off the bed.

A slight dizziness hit her upon rising from the bed, stemming from the head injury. She wobbled while moving, and nausea churned in her belly.

She realized the dizziness arose not just from the blow she took, but also from insufficient meals and poor nourishment.

Still, she managed to persevere.

“Zheng’er, Rong’er, feeling peckish? I’ll whip up some food for you.”

Glancing outside, she noted the darkening sky. Noon had prevailed when Aunt Wang arrived to hassle her. Yet, the prolonged torment from Aunt Wang prevented her from fixing lunch for the little ones.

“Mother, Zheng’er isn’t hungry.”

“Mother, Rong’er isn’t hungry.”

The two small boys assured their mother.
