Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability Chapter 3195: Enough Supplies for Years to Come
Previously on Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability...
A slight smirk played on his lips. This area, known as the Seasonal Moon Plane, lacking the Sun-facing Wood, was inevitably overrun by Blood Corpse Worms.
"I once stumbled upon a village completely infested by these Blood Corpse Worms; the aftermath was a barren wasteland where not a single blade of grass could grow. Later, the fearful locals planted numerous Sun-facing Trees in that desolate village to ward them off."
he explained.
"Are the Blood Corpse Worms truly that formidable?"
Qian Yizheng inquired, casting a glance at the Blood Corpse Worms diligently consuming the surrounding corpses.
"Undoubtedly!"
Min Yi affirmed without a moment's hesitation.
"Do not be deceived by their appearance; they are merely the size of a person's arm, smaller than most minor demonic beasts, yet they operate as a collective, swarming like ants!"
As he spoke, his gaze fell upon the colossal mountain of corpses.
"I strongly suspect that this massive pile of corpses serves as the nest for these Blood Corpse Worms."
The more he contemplated it, the more plausible it seemed; if this wasn't their lair, then where else could it possibly be?
"I possess Phosphor Powder; why don't we scatter it and set the area ablaze?" suggested Little Nuonuo.
This location was merely a breeding ground for the Blood Corpse Worms by the Saintess Sect, and it was unlikely that anything of value remained. Therefore, incinerating the entire area seemed like a reasonable course of action.
"Would that be acceptable?"
Qian Yizheng pondered the suggestion, looking towards Min Yi for confirmation.
"It should be acceptable."
Min Yi nodded, understanding that Qian Yizheng was inquiring about potential repercussions if this area was still considered part of the Saintess Sect's territory and if their actions would draw unwanted attention.
"We are already beyond the Saintess Sect's direct influence, so initiating a fire should pose no issue, however..."
"However, what?"
the boat asked. What cause for hesitation could there be? These monstrous creatures should be utterly destroyed without delay, not allowed to linger any longer than necessary.
"While the Blood Corpse Worms may congregate within the corpse pile, their primary nest is likely situated underground. Merely igniting the surface might not eradicate them entirely."
If the corpses above were consumed by flames, the worms could retreat to the subterranean depths. The extent and complexity of their underground tunnels were unknown. If they failed to eliminate all the Blood Corpse Worms, their efforts would be in vain.
Furthermore, ordinary smoke was insufficient to suffocate demonic beasts, let alone the man-eating Blood Corpse Worms.
"What about using Sun-facing Wood for the combustion?" Qian Yizheng proposed.
Upon hearing this, Min Yi's eyes brightened. "That's an excellent idea! Utilizing Sun-facing Wood would undoubtedly ensure their complete incineration."
"Very well, let us proceed to gather some Sun-facing Wood immediately. Although none is available here, I observed a considerable amount near the Saintess Sect," they decided. They would gather an ample supply to bring back for the burning!
"Agreed."
Several of them nodded in unison, then retraced their steps back through the passage.
...
Two hours later, Min Yi observed the children with a sense of helplessness as they emptied their Qiankun Bags.
The collection of items they retrieved was amassed in the central square before the Holy Maiden Sect's Main Hall, forming a pile nearly as imposing as the preceding mountain of corpses.
He finally grasped the reason behind the children's consistent abundance of provisions throughout their journey and why their parents permitted them such independence. With such a vast store of supplies, they could sustain themselves for years on end!
"Brother Yi Zheng, Brother Yi Rong, you two may proceed on ahead; I shall remain here to guard our belongings," An Yilu informed his two brothers.
He couldn't possibly abandon all these valuable items without supervision. While mundane items were of little concern, precious goods such as medicinal pills and Seven-Colored Lotus Seeds required vigilant protection.
"Understood. We will endeavor to return as soon as possible,"
Qian Yizheng acknowledged and led a few individuals towards the entrance of the passage, making their way back to the pile of corpses.
