Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability Chapter 3173: Prioritizing Water for Noble Clan Young Masters?
Previously on Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability...
"Alright, let's do it."
He followed the Family Head towards a horse carriage.
"Are there any matters you wish to discuss?"
"It's like this, Qing Family Head, and esteemed Family Heads, I have calculated that the provisions we brought, along with those left by the Saintess Sect, are simply not enough to escort such a large contingent out of the desert."
One Family Head voiced his concerns with a worried expression.
The food that had been previously confiscated from the men was taken back, yet even with this combined amount, it was still insufficient for their departure from this desert.
"Not enough?"
Qing Qiushi was initially taken aback, but he quickly grasped the situation.
"Indeed, we departed in haste and did not anticipate that so many individuals would be brought into the desert by the Saintess Sect, nor did we prepare provisions for such a multitude," he explained.
The other Family Heads also wore displeased looks. The desert was a place where everyone faced the harsh realities of survival.
"As for food, cultivators with higher levels of Qi can endure going hungry for a few days. However, water is a different matter entirely. In this climate, particularly within the desert, abstaining from water for even three hours can lead to unconsciousness," a Family Head remarked.
He lightly tapped his forehead with his fist, clearly troubled by the predicament.
"What if we prioritize water for the Noble Clan Young Masters?" one Family Head proposed.
"How could we possibly do such a thing?"
Qing Qiushi's eyes widened as he looked at the Family Head who had offered the suggestion.
"Everyone present here hails from Yin City and its surrounding areas. If word of such an action were to spread, how could we, the prominent clans, continue to maintain our standing? While the major clans possess higher status, without the common folk, who would sustain our prosperity?"
Should it become public knowledge that the great clans had callously disregarded the lives of commoners, diverting all the water to their own young masters in the unforgiving desert, their credibility would be irrevocably damaged.
"Then what course of action should we take? These resources are woefully inadequate to sustain us on our journey out of the desert," the suggesting Family Head inquired, spreading his hands in a gesture of helplessness.
His suggestion had stemmed from sheer desperation. Despite their esteemed positions, they did not treat the lives of so many people lightly.
"Let us contemplate an alternative approach; there must be a solution," Qing Qiushi mused for a moment before stating.
Admittedly, he too was at a loss for immediate answers. Their haste in pursuit had led to insufficient planning. Each Family Head had individually procured supplies, and none had thought to acquire extra for unforeseen emergencies.
"Uncle Qiushi, Uncle Qiushi."
Just as they were immersed in their anxious deliberations, a voice called out from a short distance away.
Qing Qiushi turned his head and observed Min Yi, accompanied by a group of individuals, waving towards him. Seeing that his situation was stable, a significant weight lifted from Qing Qiushi's heart.
"You all continue to devise a plan, I shall go and see what is happening over there," he announced.
With that, he proceeded towards his eldest young master.
"Uncle Qiushi, what is the current situation? Have the disciples of the Saintess Sect been dealt with?" Min Yi eagerly questioned as Qing Qiushi approached him.
"We are not entirely certain yet. A contingent remained to manage the aftermath, while the main force is in pursuit," Qing Qiushi replied.
Their primary concern was that if no one remained, individuals with malicious intent might secretly abscond with forbidden techniques from the Saintess Sect. Therefore, a few personnel were intentionally left behind to ensure their complete eradication.
He himself had taken on the task of locating his family's eldest young master.
Regardless, with the watchful eyes of other clan members present, he felt no apprehension about being suspected of any clandestine activities.
"Where did you all go? I did not see you earlier," he inquired.
"We went in pursuit."
Min Yi pouted slightly, feeling a touch of displeasure that two disciples had managed to escape.
