After the Saintess Sect began to recruit disciples, Qing Qiushi and Min Yi discussed their next move. Suspecting foul play, they agreed to wait and observe, planning to exploit the situation to unite other clans against the Saintess Sect. Meanwhile, a disappointed elder reviewed the few children recruited, lamenting their lack of high talent and questioning why no children from major clans had joined.

Furthermore, they specifically request the most gifted disciples from these prominent clans, the very heirs of their lineages. How could such individuals possibly be offered up freely? Without resorting to threats or forceful measures, what other recourse do they possess?

"Returning to Revered Master, they are not available at this moment."

This was the reply given by the female disciple, who happened to be the direct disciple of the middle-aged woman. As for the other disciples present, they lacked the composure and courage to speak before the middle-aged woman, fearing her severe reprimands.

"Those detestable major clans! To actually dare disregard my Saintess Sect; they deserve to perish ten thousand times over!" Upon hearing her disciple's report, the middle-aged woman flew into such a rage that she slammed her right hand down upon the table beside her.

A sharp 'crack' echoed through the room as the table instantly splintered apart. The disciples could only swallow nervously, thinking inwardly that if they had been the target of her outburst, it might have been them who were split asunder.

"Revered Master, please try to calm yourself. Do not let your anger be stirred by such insignificant individuals." The primary female disciple stepped forward, her gaze flicking towards the now-ruined table, and implored the middle-aged woman to regain her composure.

She was also apprehensive, but she knew that if she didn't intervene, her Revered Master's fury would escalate, and ultimately, it would be the disciples who would bear the brunt of her displeasure.

Even as the Revered Master's most trusted direct disciple, she was not exempt from this potential consequence.

"If they refuse to surrender the individuals, we have our own methods, and they will come to regret their defiance. Ultimately, they will be forced to grovel and beg before us."

"Hmph!"

The middle-aged woman let out a cold snort, gradually composing herself after some moments. Her disciple's words held truth; she possessed alternative strategies to secure those children without necessitating the clans' voluntary cooperation. They would soon realize the futility of refusing a welcoming toast, only to be forced to drink a cup of forfeiture.

"Do they truly believe that without the backing of their major clans, my Saintess Sect is incapable of achieving its objectives? What a ludicrous notion!"

Her gaze, sharp and stern, swept once more over the disciples who had instinctively drawn their necks back. She harbored a deep sense of disdain, as these children, not originating from the most influential clans, possessed only a modest degree of talent.

"For the ensuing days, you are all to keep a close watch on these young rascals. Ensure they dedicate themselves to their Cultivation, and make certain to procure some Heaven and Earth Treasures from the Sect for their benefit."

She issued these instructions to her other disciples.

"Yes, Respected Master Liao."

The assembled disciples responded in unison, then proceeded to escort the children out of the chamber.

Once they were safely outside, a collective sigh of relief escaped the disciples as they exchanged glances.

"Respected Master Liao grows more formidable with each passing day; even the Sect Master does not command such an imposing presence," one disciple whispered, her lips pursed.

"What reckless talk is that? Are those words meant for you to utter?" Another disciple overheard her companion's words and shot her a glare so intense it seemed capable of piercing through flesh.

Discussing such matters amongst themselves was one thing, but they were still in the presence of the young disciples. Didn't the speaker fear that these youngsters might relay her words back to Respected Master Liao? She needed to remember that the responsibility of overseeing these children wasn't solely theirs; other sisters were also involved.

The internal competition within the Saintess Sect was fierce. If any of the other sisters discovered such indiscreet remarks, the repercussions could be catastrophic, couldn't they?

The female disciple who had spoken also felt a shiver run down her spine upon hearing her senior sister's admonition and quickly sealed her lips. She had merely spoken out of casual observation and genuinely feared her words reaching Respected Master Liao's ears. Very well, she resolved to remember this lesson and refrain from uttering such sentiments ever again.

Enduring some perceived injustice was not a significant trial, especially since there were still resources available to her within the Sect; she was not, after all, at a complete loss.
