Just as Little Jun and Ninth Senior Brother had foreseen, when the demonic beasts descended, Little Junior Sister shrieked in terror and clung to the sides of Second Senior Brother and Fifth Senior Brother.

The remaining two junior sisters could only scramble to survive, suffering injuries from the beasts; they were forced to accept their miserable fate.

"Little Junior Sister, ascend the tree at once!"

Fifth Senior Brother spotted a particularly sturdy tree that the beasts could not easily topple, figuring he should send Little Junior Sister up for safety first.

The girl was paralyzed with fear, and upon hearing his command, she disregarded the fact that others were already occupying the tree. She scrambled toward it, relying on Fifth Senior Brother’s assistance to pull her up.

In her mind, the presence of others on the tree was irrelevant. Whatever she desired was hers by right. Any obstacle would simply have to be cast aside or sacrificed.

Much like earlier, when those two senior sisters had attempted to seek refuge behind Second Senior Brother and Fifth Senior Brother, how could she have permitted it? If those two had shifted their protection to someone else, she might have risked being harmed.

"Fifth Senior Brother, help me up, I... ah!"

She attempted to ascend the trunk, only to be knocked back down by a forceful One Palm Strike from above.

"Little Junior Sister!"

Fifth Senior Brother stood stunned for a moment. He glared up into the branches, meeting a pair of mocking eyes.

"This tree is mine. Whoever dares to trespass does so at their own peril!"

Qian Yinuo declared with cold authority, asserting his dominance over his own territory. Did they truly think they could just climb his tree without so much as asking?

Furthermore, he certainly hadn't forgotten that this woman had tried to freeload off their barbecue. When that failed, she had stooped to throwing Beast-Attracting Powder at them.

If they were now suffering the consequences of their own villainy, why shouldn't he enjoy it? Did they honestly expect to snatch his tree for refuge?

"You—"

Fifth Senior Brother was so incensed that he felt as if smoke were venting from his ears.

The brat was utterly detestable, having the gall to strike Little Junior Sister. Had the situation not been so dire, he would have dealt with the child then and there.

"It is a massive tree; our presence wouldn't bother you in the slightest!"

"It interferes with my affairs just fine!"

Qian Yinuo snorted, casting a menacing glare at Little Junior Sister.

"You refused to share the barbecue and then attacked us; why would I grant you sanctuary in my tree? What if she decides to shove me from behind? Stay on the ground where you belong!"

Upon hearing this, Fifth Senior Brother gritted his teeth. Despite his previous denial, he now realized the truth about the Beast-Attracting Powder incident and dared not argue.
