Pocket Hunting Dimension Chapter 1328 - Guardian
Previously on Pocket Hunting Dimension...
The Star Spirit Emperor vanished suddenly from his previous position.
A translucent barrier marked the edge of the universe. Beyond this boundary, a sea of gray air flowed in a turbulent, chaotic mass.
This deluge of gray air currents was packed with a terrifying, destructive volatility.
As the gray currents slammed into the barrier, it trembled violently, and fragile fractures began to manifest across various sectors.
Yet, as soon as these rifts appeared, the barrier healed them instantly.
Despite this, the Star Spirit Emperor remained deeply troubled, his brow furrowed.
It was evident that the barrier was steadily losing its vitality.
“I am the Lord of the star spirits and the sworn protector of this universe,” he whispered to himself. “If the situation has reached this point…”
He extended his right hand, thrusting it through the barrier and deep into the heart of the chaos.
Brilliant starlight flared violently around his form.
Moments later, he withdrew his arm, his grip containing a trapped gust of gray energy.
Starlight integrated into the gray energy, coalescing into a distinct, gray silhouette.
This entity was identical to those that had previously hunted the elemental spirits.
However, this particular figure possessed immense power, operating at a peak cosmic lord state with superior combat capabilities.
The Star Spirit Emperor let out a sigh. “This is insufficient.”
Once again, he reached into the chaos to seize more chaos chi.
A multitude of these gray figures were conjured, ranging from level-1 cosmic lord status to peak cosmic lord strength. This act drained his own chi significantly. Simultaneously, the starlight radiating from his hand became tainted with gray, and a flicker of gray light ignited in his eyes before quickly fading.
“Ah…”
The Star Spirit Emperor ceased his cultivation of chaos chi.
“Go forth to the Barren Realm and sow discord,” he commanded. “Even without my guidance, you managed to evade the reach of the Mechanical Emperor. You have clearly grasped a fragment of the law... While your path remains a mystery to me, perhaps the destiny of this universe truly lies within your hands.”
Within the Void domain, at the hub of the Insectoid Hive.
The Insectoid Mother sat upon the ground, her chi exponentially more potent than it had been three months prior.
Throughout these three months, the insectoid tide had obliterated countless civilizations. Every coil of destructive aura surrounding her seemed to echo with the ghostly wails of those lost lives.
She cast her gaze toward the Barren Realm and a sharp grin spread across her face. “Mechanical Emperor… what is your game?”
“The Mechanical Race has been searching for someone. Have they finally located their prey?”
“Who could it be? A prodigy destined to ascend to the status of an emperor? Or, perhaps, the key to the realm beyond?”
To entities of their stature, uncovering the truth was a simple matter of deduction.
Every other emperor was capable of the same feat.
At that moment, Rozz delivered a report. “Master, the Mechanical Race’s Berica and a cadre of cosmic lords have all been eliminated.”
“Oh?” The Insectoid Mother smirked. “I see. Track those individuals the Mechanical Race was pursuing. Inform me once you have pinned down their location. Do not engage alone.”
“Understood.”
Greed glimmered in the Mother’s eyes.
“Fascinating… It seems he has stumbled upon the path to reach beyond… What might happen if I were to seize this opportunity for myself?”
Orders of similar intent were issued by every other emperor.
Feeling the surge of the Mechanical Emperor’s enraged chi, Nangong Jing smirked. “He deserves nothing less than this defeat.”
Lu Ze smiled as well. “Let us focus on our Cultivation. We must ensure we stay hidden.”
Lu Ze and the girls traveled to a secluded, remote region, employing the law of space in tandem with their various god arts to construct a concealed, sealed dimension.
Short of an emperor descending upon them, no one would be able to detect their presence.
Within the Barren Realm, Huachi led a company of elemental spirits on their search.
“Where could those wretched vermin have vanished to?”
A peak cosmic lord state ice spirit questioned, “Are they truly that proficient? They actually managed to slay the Mechanical Queen?”
Another lightning spirit observed, “Our emperor seems to regard them with extreme caution.”
“It is not merely our sect; the other emperors are acting with equal concern.”
“I find myself wondering who they truly are.”
At this, a Frost spirit interjected, “Do you suspect they might be prodigies with the potential for Foundation Establishment and rising to become an emperor?”
“That is a distinct possibility.”
“I agree.”
What magnificent rewards would await them if they could capture such individuals?
Just then, the air erupted with chaotic chi. More than a dozen gray figures materialized before their eyes.
Huachi scanned the gray shadows, an expression of shock washing over her features. “It is them!”
These beings possessed incredible strength, with the two commanders clearly at the peak cosmic lord state. Without hesitation, the gray figures launched their assault.
