Peach Blossom Divine Medical God Chapter 6 - 6 6 Urgent Rescue

Just as the duo were nearing the edge of collapse, a sudden, forceful knocking reverberated from Zhang Xueying’s front door.
“Bang bang bang!
Xueying, are you there?”The abrupt commotion shattered the dazed couple’s focus, jolting them back to awareness!
“That sounds like Aunt Zhang.
Why would she be knocking at this hour?”The unexpected visitor startled Zhang Xueying, the voice outside familiar.
Aunt Zhang, another widow residing in Liuhe Village, was over forty and lived in close proximity to Zhang Xueying’s home.
Neither Chen Yang nor Zhang Xueying had anticipated Aunt Zhang’s arrival during such a critical juncture.
Aunt Zhang’s sudden appearance left both Chen Yang and Zhang Xueying in a state of bewilderment.
They hastily pulled apart, standing erect within the room and hastily adjusting their attire.
Being alone together late at night, the lingering scent of alcohol, and their disheveled clothing would render any explanation futile, even if they confessed to wrongdoing.
“What is it, Aunt Zhang?
I’m home.
Is there something you need?” Zhang Xueying inquired, her voice deliberately maintained a facade of calm as she adjusted her dress.
Her initial inclination was to ignore the knocks, but observing the illuminated threshold, she grasped the inevitability of engagement and responded.
“Xueying, are you home?
Do you happen to know Chen Yang’s whereabouts?
Wang Hong was unexpectedly bitten by a snake while resting at the plaza earlier.
I came to find him to examine the bite!” Aunt Zhang’s voice carried from outside.
Aunt Zhang, being elderly, did not own a mobile phone, thus her customary method of reaching someone she couldn’t contact was to seek Zhang Xueying’s assistance in making a call.
“Understood.
I’ll inform Chen Yang shortly and instruct him to proceed directly to Aunt Wang’s residence!” After smoothing her clothes and giving her assent, Zhang Xueying guided Chen Yang toward her backyard.
“Brother Chen Yang, you should make your exit through the back now.
Hurry over to Aunt Wang’s place!
I shall tidy myself up and join you shortly.” Given the sudden turn of events, Zhang Xueying understood that their clandestine encounter was abruptly terminated.
She suppressed her own desires and reluctantly urged Chen Yang to depart.
“Very well!” Chen Yang, by this point, had regained his sobriety.
He gave a nod and then slipped out the back entrance of Zhang Xueying’s dwelling.
Zhang Xueying watched his receding form, her cheeks flushed a deep crimson, her eyes still reflecting a profound sense of regret.
Her preparations had been extensive, only for the culmination to be interrupted.
The pent-up ardor of several years, which had finally erupted in full, was now abruptly halted by this unforeseen occurrence.
A profound emptiness washed over her in that moment.
It seemed she would have to await another opportunity to fulfill what remained unfinished today.
The thought caused Zhang Xueying’s complexion to deepen further in color.
Departing Zhang Xueying’s residence, Chen Yang made his way directly back to his clinic.
He washed his face and proceeded forthwith to Aunt Wang’s home.
Aunt Wang was the same woman who had sought his medical attention at his clinic just days prior.
She had received treatment in the afternoon, only to suffer a snakebite in the evening.
What an unfortunate turn of events.
Without delay, Chen Yang reached Wang Hong’s house.
Upon entering, he observed Wang Hong reclining on her bed, her complexion alarmingly pale and her breathing shallow and strained.
Despite the warmth of the summer night, Wang Hong was clad sparsely in extremely short leisure shorts and an oversized red checkered T-shirt, revealing a considerable expanse of her fair skin.
Chen Yang surveyed Wang Hong from a distance, but initially, he could not locate the specific site of the snakebite.
“Aunt Wang, I was informed you were bitten by a snake?
Where precisely is the wound?” Chen Yang inquired as he entered the room.
Hearing Chen Yang’s voice, Wang Hong slowly opened her eyes.
“Yang Zi, what took you so long?
Quickly, help your aunt examine the wound; it’s right here!” Wang Hong shifted her body weakly and then parted her pale legs.
As Wang Hong spread her legs, Chen Yang’s gaze fell upon her pale thigh, positioned less than ten centimeters from her private area.
Two distinct, bloody puncture marks were clearly visible.
The signs were unmistakably those of a snakebite.
Observing the dark, reddish blood seeping from the wounds and Aunt Wang’s face drained of all color, Chen Yang’s expression grew somber.
It appeared the snake responsible was highly venomous, and her condition was precarious.
The venom had already infiltrated her bloodstream, posing a mortal threat if not addressed with utmost urgency.
“Aunt Wang, remain still. I shall retrieve a basin of water!
Then, I will attend to your wound,” Aunt Wang’s critical state left no room for delay. Chen Yang turned and moved to gather the necessary supplies for treating the snakebite.
Chen Yang hurried back to his own residence, gathered essential medical supplies, filled a basin with clean water, and returned once more to Aunt Wang’s house.
Upon his arrival this second time, Chen Yang noticed that Aunt Zhang, who had initially sought him at Zhang Xueying’s home, was also present.
“Aunt Zhang, I must concentrate on treating Aunt Wang’s bite wound right now! So, please could you go and see if you can find the snake that bit her?” Chen Yang said to the distraught Aunt Zhang.
A snakebite situation is indeed quite complex. To administer proper treatment, identifying the snake species is crucial; doing so allows for the correct antidote to be applied. Without this knowledge, any efforts made could unfortunately prove to be in vain.
“Alright, alright, Young Yang, you focus on the wound. I will go search for the snake!” Aunt Zhang repeatedly nodded, then promptly exited Wang Hong’s residence.
Wang Hong had been bitten on the large, flat open space near the village head’s residence. During the height of summer, this area typically becomes a gathering spot for many of the village widows, who congregate to escape the heat and discuss their daily lives. However, during their evening respite this particular day, Wang Hong was unexpectedly bitten by a snake while enjoying the cool air.
Adjacent to the large flat was a dense cluster of bushes, and the lighting in the vicinity was minimal. These factors combined made locating the snake at this late hour a daunting task. Nevertheless, despite these considerable challenges, Aunt Zhang embarked on the search, enlisting the assistance of several other village widows to help scour the area.
Catching the sounds of the extensive search party outside, Chen Yang quietly closed the door. He then proceeded to bring the basin of water over to the bedside.
“Aunt Wang, the snake’s venom is concentrated at the bite wound. At this moment, the only course of action is for me to extract it by suction. It will likely cause some pain, so please try to bear with it,” Chen Yang explained, pulling out a piece of rope. He then proceeded to tie it firmly around the base of Aunt Wang’s thigh, aiming to impede the venom’s further circulation.
“Okay… I will do my best to endure it,” Aunt Wang managed to reply with difficulty, nodding her head in agreement.
Receiving Aunt Wang’s consent, Chen Yang, without uttering another word, leaned in close to the site of the wound near her private area and began to draw out the venom with his mouth.
Although Chen Yang’s focus was entirely on the task at hand, and his proximity allowed him an unobstructed view through her clothing to the afflicted area, he was not in a state of mind to dwell on such matters. His concentration was fixed on the wound on Wang Hong’s thigh, drawing out the venomous blood repeatedly and then spitting the dark, purplish-red fluid to the side.
While Chen Yang’s intentions remained honorable during this delicate procedure, the wound’s unfortunate location near her intimate region caused Aunt Wang’s body to tremble uncontrollably with each extraction. A faint, alluring blush also bloomed across her face.
“Ptooey…”
Chen Yang continued to suck out the dark red-purple venomous blood for several mouthfuls until the fluid he was drawing turned a fresh, healthy red. Only then did he cease his efforts.
After successfully extracting the dangerous venom, Chen Yang immediately took a towel, moistened it with the clean water, and began to gently cleanse the wound located on the upper part of her thigh.
His expression was one of utmost seriousness as Chen Yang was intent on treating the injury with all due haste. The sudden sensation of the cold, damp towel against the wound caused Aunt Wang’s body to shudder once more…
