Chen Yang and He Xiran followed two members of the Blood Bat Hall, and deduced that their organization had not yet discovered the Qiu Alliance's location. They returned to Liuhe Village to reassure Chen Tianmin and Qiu Hongguang, advising them to remain hidden. After several uneventful days, Chen Yang inquired about the Blood Bat Hall's progress and learned their search had yielded no results, indicating the Qiu Alliance remained safe for the time being.

I'm just uncertain about the duration of this current storm.

Should the Blood Bat Hall maintain its aggressive pursuit, Chen Tianmin and his companions might find themselves confined to the hotel for an extended period.

"This Revenge Alliance possesses a certain strength; they are not as uncomplicated as they appear." Chen Yang feigned ignorance, seeking out some intriguing details.

Ma Jiantao responded with a slight smile, "Indeed, nobody had predicted the Revenge Alliance would strike the Blood Bat Hall with such ferocity. It's truly astonishing."

While Ma Jiantao's tone conveyed surprise, a subtle undercurrent of pleased malice seemed to linger within it.

It was quite apparent that his relationship with the Blood Bat Hall was less than amicable.

He even seemed to take delight in the fact that the Revenge Alliance had eliminated a significant number of Blood Bat Hall members.

"Very well, Chen Yang, I cannot engage in extended conversation with you any longer. I have several matters requiring my attention here, so I shall end this call for now and will reconnect when time permits." With that, Ma Jiantao made to quickly end the phone call.

"Understood."

Having managed to glean some valuable information, Chen Yang felt a pang of regret that there wasn't more to discuss.

Given Ma Jiantao's eagerness to conclude the call, Chen Yang was inwardly pleased.

"Oh, right, if you have the availability, could you help me concoct some Body Refining Elixirs? Two thousand seems to be slightly insufficient."

Just as Chen Yang was preparing to hang up, he overheard Ma Jiantao's request.

"Body Refining Elixirs? What quantity do you require? I can craft them for you at any time." Chen Yang promptly picked up the phone again.

"Hmm... Let's tentatively set the amount at two thousand for now. However, there's no pressing urgency this time. I'll collect them at my convenience." Ma Jiantao stated.

"Very well, coincidentally, I've been meaning to craft some elixirs myself recently, so I'll prepare them together." Chen Yang agreed with a smile.

He then proceeded to end the call.

Ma Jiantao's request arrived at an opportune moment.

This was because, recently, members of the Revenge Alliance had also been consuming a considerable amount of his Body Refining Elixirs.

He had already been contemplating crafting more when he had the time, and Ma Jiantao's order came unexpectedly.

Since that was the case, he might as well produce a substantial quantity in one batch to preempt future inconveniences.

Following lunch, Chen Yang had just finished his meal and was planning to accompany Wang Cai and Brother Eagle to the mountains to gather herbs, intending to craft the elixirs upon his return that night.

However, fate intervened, preventing him from leaving the premises.

He Xiran made a sudden appearance.

Over the preceding days, He Xiran had maintained a remarkably low profile, largely confined to the hotel and rarely venturing out.

The reason for her uncharacteristic decision to emerge alone today and visit Chen Yang's residence remained unknown.

This marked He Xiran's inaugural visit to Chen Yang's home, and upon entering, her gaze swept across the interior of his dwelling.

From a distance, Chen Yang had recognized He Xiran, enabling him to step out promptly and greet her at the medical clinic.

"Xiran, what brings you here? Did Uncle give you permission to go out?" Chen Yang expressed concern, fearing she might have slipped out unnoticed.

If such a scenario were true and Chen Tianmin discovered it, she would undoubtedly face a severe reprimand.

"Naturally, Uncle approved my outing; otherwise, how could I have come?" He Xiran replied with a smile, then inquired, "I hadn't realized, Chen Yang, that you are actually a physician. Is this your primary occupation?"

He Xiran possessed limited knowledge about Chen Yang.

Even after residing in Liuhe Village for several days, she remained unaware that such an expansive scenic area within Liuhe Village belonged entirely to Chen Yang.

Upon arriving at Chen Yang's residence and observing the setup of his medical clinic, she naively assumed he was merely an ordinary doctor.

"Yes, I studied medicine. What for, did you specifically come seeking treatment from me?" Chen Yang queried playfully.

"Ha! What's your issue? Can't you speak more pleasantly? Who here is seeking treatment from you? Can't you offer well wishes to others?" He Xiran retorted sharply.

Chen Yang found her spirited reaction quite amusing.

"Then, what prompted your visit?"

He Xiran cast a glance at Chen Yang and stated casually, "I haven't been out for days and felt rather cooped up. I simply came out for some fresh air; what else could it be?"

"You certainly lead a life of leisure." Chen Yang remarked.

"Not entirely. Since I haven't officially made my presence known to those villains from the Blood Bat Hall, moving around doesn't pose a significant risk." He Xiran replied nonchalantly.

"Indeed, it doesn't pose a major risk, but you must still exercise caution. One can never predict what might transpire." Chen Yang felt compelled to offer a reminder.

"Of course, I am aware. I make a point to avoid crowded places. That's precisely why I came here instead of visiting the scenic area." He Xiran explained with a smile.

"In that case, you are quite sensible." Chen Yang gave a slight shake of his head, smiling.

"Haha, naturally."

He Xiran chuckled, exhibiting a charmingly capricious and lively demeanor.

After perusing the clinic, she redirected her attention toward Chen Yang, inquiring, "I observed you seemed rushed earlier; were you departing for an engagement?"

Chen Yang had been contemplating the best way to inform her of his planned outing for an errand.

Unexpectedly, she initiated the conversation herself.

"Yeah, I was just about to head out when you arrived," Chen Yang responded with a smile.

"Going out for what?" He Xiran inquired, her curiosity piqued.

"I've run out of Body Refining Elixirs and was planning to go into the mountains to gather herbs for crafting," Chen Yang explained truthfully.

He Xiran's interest immediately sparked at his words.

"Heading to the mountains, you say? Let me come with you! That way, there won't be any Blood Bat Hall spies lurking about. Plus, I can get some fresh air while I help," He Xiran suggested swiftly.

With her offer, Chen Yang couldn't object; in fact, he was quite pleased with the idea.

For starters, having her company would prevent his journey from being monotonous.

Secondly, if he went alone, she might wander off, and if the Blood Bat Hall discovered her, it could lead to significant trouble.

Ascending the mountain together seemed like the most prudent course of action.

"Alright, then let's head to the mountain together," Chen Yang agreed, a smile gracing his lips.

"Let's go!"

He Xiran, brimming with enthusiasm for the mountain excursion, immediately followed Chen Yang out the door upon his agreement, and they set off towards their destination.

"Chen Yang, I truly envy you. Growing up in such a beautiful, serene village, working from sunrise to sunset, running a small clinic, and living each day in happiness..."

As they journeyed halfway up the mountain, He Xiran cast glances back towards Liuhe Village.

She marveled at the sight of the quaint, modern-feeling mountain village nestled amongst the peaks.

Her gaze towards Chen Yang subtly shifted, now tinged with genuine envy.

Chen Yang, however, remained unfazed. He recognized that village life possessed its own unique allure, just as city life had its distinct advantages. He believed there was no need for envy, only the importance of appreciating one's current circumstances.

"What's there to be envious of? Life is much the same wherever you reside. As long as you cultivate a content existence and find peace, any place can feel like paradise. Conversely, if life proves harsh, any location can feel like a desolate hell," Chen Yang countered with a soft smile.

Chen Yang's words seemed to strike a chord deep within He Xiran.

Her emotions underwent a noticeable shift in an instant.

A faint shimmer, like mist, could be seen gathering in her eyes.

"You're absolutely right. It doesn't truly matter where one lives; the crucial aspect is to live well," He Xiran murmured, her voice slightly thick.

Chen Yang found himself perplexed by He Xiran's sudden onset of melancholy.

Why had she become teary-eyed so abruptly?

"Xiran, is something wrong?"

Chen Yang inquired, his voice laced with concern.

"It's nothing, really. I just remembered some unpleasant things. Let's keep going," He Xiran replied, quickly wiping away the moisture from her eyes before turning to resume their climb.

Sensing that something was amiss but observing He Xiran's subdued state, Chen Yang decided against pressing the matter further.

He reasoned that everyone who had joined the Revenge Alliance likely carried burdens from their past.

It was possible his earlier words had inadvertently touched upon a sensitive point for He Xiran.
