He Xiran, Chen Yang, and Ao Min race to catch up to the Blood Bat Hall members who have captured Alliance members. They discover a brutal battleground where several Alliance members have already died. He Xiran spots her uncle, Chen Tianmin, still alive amongst the surrounded Alliance survivors. Chen Yang decides to enact a plan to trap and eliminate all the Blood Bat Hall members, rather than simply rescuing the survivors immediately, and begins setting up a formation.

Fortunately, Chen Yang was extremely cautious while he was erecting the formation, and the individuals from Blood Bat Hall remained utterly oblivious. Meanwhile, they reveled in their perceived imminent victory. The turncoats within the Alliance even taunted Chen Tianmin and his companions with an air of superiority. This situation granted Chen Yang the precious time he required to complete the formation's setup. "Hahaha, Chen Tianmin, you still harbor the ambition to kill me? Little did you realize that this very place was the trap I meticulously prepared for you!" the traitor declared with insolent laughter, his heart devoid of any remorse, pity, or regret for his former comrades; instead, he was brimming with arrogance. Chen Tianmin was afflicted with numerous bleeding wounds, though fortunately, they were superficial and not life-threatening. Among their remaining contingent of seven or eight, at least three were gravely wounded, and two sustained minor injuries. Facing an encirclement by over a hundred adversaries, any hope of a breakout was extinguished, leaving only the grim prospect of fighting until their last breath! A shared, resolute determination settled within them. "You fiend, when your kin were obliterated, our Alliance offered you sanctuary, and now you embrace a traitor as a father and turn upon us. How could such a wretch as yourself be deemed worthy of existence in this world?" Chen Tianmin seethed, his gaze fixed fiercely upon the traitor. He yearned to rip the traitor limb from limb! The traitor remained impassive, his lips maintaining that subtle, knowing smile. "Haha, it is true that you extended aid to me, Chen Tianmin, but one must be attuned to the currents of the times. With the formidable might of Blood Bat Hall at its beck and call, do you truly believe your meager force can possibly prevail against it? Cease these futile fantasies and surrender posthaste. Perhaps, even then, you might be granted a swift demise," the traitor sneered with chilling amusement. "You cur, kill us or do as you please, for we are of the Alliance, and we would sooner embrace death than yield!" "Heh, do you presume that everyone possesses your unscrupulous nature, betraying one's master for fleeting glory? Embracing a villain as kin?" "Bah, you despicable dog, a wretched end awaits you!" Despite their grievous injuries, the majority of the Alliance members remained resolute, their spirits unbowed. Every soul present harbored profound contempt for the traitor's vile actions. Curses filled the air. The traitor's demeanor shifted subtly, his features contorting into a venomous expression. "This is the opportunity I am granting you. Should you fail to seize it, you shall all perish here today! And it will be a most ignominious end!" the traitor proclaimed. "Bah! Dispatch us or enact your worst, for we possess no inclination to grovel for mercy," Chen Tianmin retorted with unwavering conviction. "Very well, you have spoken, and you shall bear the consequences!" the traitor hissed through gritted teeth. He then turned towards a figure cloaked in night attire, their features obscured, and inquired with deference, "Deputy Hall Master, these individuals are utterly incorrigible, leaving no alternative but to eliminate them. I propose we cease this pointless delay and act decisively to conclude matters, thereby enabling us to pursue the escaped fugitives without further hindrance!" Witnessing the futility of negotiation, the traitor swiftly pressed the Blood Bat Hall's Deputy Hall Master to swiftly put Chen Tianmin and his companions to death. "Slay them!!" The Blood Bat Hall's Deputy Hall Master paused momentarily before issuing the command! The traitor, his heart alight with triumph, echoed the directive with haste, "By the Deputy Hall Master's decree! Annihilate them!" With the chilling command to "slay," every assassin from Blood Bat Hall moved in unison, their advance deliberate as they systematically tightened their noose around Chen Tianmin and his beleaguered group. Chen Tianmin and his comrades, having resigned themselves to their fates, confronted the impending onslaught with absolute fearlessness! "Brothers, the hour of retribution has arrived! Though we may be incapable of utterly vanquishing Blood Bat Hall, today, inflicting even a single casualty will bring us satisfaction, and two will be a triumph!" Chen Tianmin bellowed, raising his formidable broadsword to ignite their fighting spirit. Every individual, whether unscathed or grievously wounded, refused to passively await oblivion; they all grasped their weapons, rising to meet their final battle! And just as the brutal conflict neared its violent commencement. Ao Min, Xiao Hei, and He Xiran, who had been observing the grim spectacle, were on the verge of intervening to offer aid. Buzz! Suddenly, a resounding hum reverberated through the heavens! Immediately thereafter, a radiant formation erupted from the earth, its azure energy surging forth, instantly encompassing and sealing the entire vicinity. Faced with this unforeseen turn of events, all present stood utterly bewildered! No one could comprehend the reason behind this sudden phenomenon! "What is transpuring? What is this azure barrier?" "Who dares to meddle in our affairs? Could there be more Alliance remnants lurking nearby?" ... The members of Blood Bat Hall looked around in stunned disbelief, attempting to ascertain the cause of the commotion. Not only were they caught off guard, but Chen Tianmin and his loyal followers were equally in the dark regarding the unfolding events and the nature of the mysterious blue barrier that now enshrouded them! "Deputy Hall Master, what is occurring?!" the traitor stammered in a surge of panic, an uncanny premonition suggesting a deviation from their planned outcome. "This is dire! It is a formation! Remnants of the Alliance must still be in the vicinity and have activated it while we were not on guard!" The Deputy Hall Master, too, was visibly shaken.

He could discern that this was far from a simple formation. Though its exact function remained unknown, it was certain to be detrimental to their cause.

"Huh? A formation?" the traitor exclaimed, his panic escalating.

He had no prior experience with formations but had heard tales of their existence.

Numerous formations possessed mystical properties, capable of amplifying a single fighter to contend with a hundred adversaries.

Could they perhaps have stumbled into an unforeseen obstacle at this critical juncture?

The sudden appearance of the formation instilled hesitation in the members of the Blood Bat Hall, deterring them from reckless action.

From the concealment of the nearby thicket, Ao Min, Xiao Hei, and He Xiran held back, refraining from a premature intervention.

"What a magnificent formation! A profound-level array; I wonder who could possibly have established such a powerful construct?" Ao Min expressed his astonishment.

Gazing at the formation radiating a soft blue luminescence, he felt a deep shock resonate within him.

If anyone present possessed a significant understanding of formations, it was undoubtedly him.

Having been ensnared within a mid-level yellow-grade formation for over a century, the sight of a profound-grade formation, by comparison, left him utterly surprised.

"A profound-grade formation? By the heavens, could it have been the work of the Master?" Xiao Hei echoed Ao Min's surprise upon hearing the classification.

Much like Ao Min, he had lived for numerous centuries and possessed a degree of familiarity with the intricacies of formations.

"Little brother?" Ao Min stared, a look of dawning realization replacing his shock!

It was not an entirely impossible scenario after all!

Chen Yang had specifically instructed them to maintain their position here before departing.

It wasn't long after his departure that this formation materialized. The timing was far too coincidental.

Upon this realization, Ao Min was considerably taken aback.

He found it increasingly challenging to fathom the depths of Chen Yang's capabilities.

To be so young, yet not only possess immense strength but also a profound knowledge of formations, enabling him to erect such a formidable array—it was truly awe-inspiring.

It would be no exaggeration to proclaim him a genius of the highest caliber.

"Who goes there! Reveal yourself at once!"

Within the confines of the formation, the Deputy Hall Master of the Blood Bat Hall felt a growing unease. Witnessing the formation's activation with no apparent further action from its creator, he could no longer maintain his composure, his voice roaring out into the expansive surrounding forest.

"Facing oblivion yet remaining ignorant? Your arrogance is truly boundless!"

Chen Yang, the architect of the formation, emerged from the seclusion of the woods, radiating an aura of absolute fearlessness!

Swish, swish, swish!

In an instant, all eyes snapped toward the source of the sound.

There stood Chen Yang, his form exuding potent killing intent as he advanced slowly from the treeline.

"Yang... Yang Zi!"

Chen Tianmin was utterly dumbfounded by the sight of Chen Yang!

Under no circumstances could he have ever anticipated Chen Yang's presence at this location.

"Uncle, do not be alarmed. Today, the Blood Bat Hall shall pay the ultimate price!" Chen Yang declared, his gaze sweeping over Chen Tianmin.

"Yang Zi, you..." Chen Tianmin was left speechless with astonishment. Not only had Chen Yang appeared here, but he had also addressed him as 'uncle,' effectively revealing his identity!

"Uncle?" The Deputy Hall Master of the Blood Bat Hall, having overheard the familiar address, instantly grasped the implication.

"You are also a survivor of the Chen Family! Your Chen Family is like persistent weeds, utterly impossible to eradicate completely, is it not?" the Blood Bat Deputy Hall Master taunted with a sneer.

"Very well, since you have presented yourself, I shall eliminate you as well and claim the bounty!"
