Peach Blossom Divine Medical God Chapter 1907: 1901: Leaving With You
Previously on Peach Blossom Divine Medical God...
“You actually accepted the inheritance!” the small tiger exclaimed in astonishment.
Chen Yang felt a bit baffled but nonetheless nodded, “Are you that suspicious of me? How could I possibly deceive you about accepting the inheritance?”
Upon hearing this, the small tiger remained silent for several seconds before seeming to make a significant resolution. It then declared, “Since you have accepted the inheritance, I must leave with you.”
“Leave with me?” Chen Yang was perplexed, unable to grasp the meaning.
“Yes, you accepted the inheritance and obtained the Daoist Command Token, which proves you are the Sect Leader of the Red Cloud lineage. Henceforth, I shall follow you,” the small tiger stated earnestly.
“What?”
Chen Yang was utterly shocked by the small tiger’s pronouncement.
Just by acquiring this Daoist Command Token, he was now the Sect Leader of the Red Cloud lineage?
“You misunderstand. This Daoist Command Token doesn’t belong to me; it belongs to the old man. If you wish to follow, I can take you to find him,” Chen Yang clarified after a moment of surprise had passed.
He harbored no desire to become the Sect Leader of the Red Cloud Sect. His sole motivation for accepting the inheritance was to assist Liu the Taoist.
In the future, all the Formations he learned would be passed on to Liu’s disciples; he was merely a temporary custodian of this knowledge.
“You’re not waiting for me? Then why were you able to accept the inheritance? The Dao Ancestor declared that whoever accepts the inheritance becomes the Sect Leader of our Red Cloud lineage!” The small tiger’s demeanor shifted abruptly, becoming fierce, and its gaze towards Chen Yang turned hostile!
Not this again; must we resort to conflict over a simple misunderstanding?
“I did accept the inheritance, but I genuinely cannot be the Red Cloud Sect Leader. That position is reserved for the old man,” Chen Yang persisted in his explanation.
However, the small tiger completely disregarded his words, stating, “I recognize only the inheritor and the Daoist Command Token!”
“…”
Chen Yang found himself somewhat speechless, never anticipating such an obstacle just as he was preparing to descend the mountain.
But ultimately, this small tiger appeared to be quite stubborn, and attempting further explanation seemed futile. He decided to cease his efforts.
“If you intend to leave, you may accompany me,” Chen Yang stated calmly.
“Very well then!” The small tiger seemed disinclined to exchange more words with Chen Yang. Upon receiving Chen Yang’s agreement, it immediately approached his side and departed from the Red Cloud Cave Mansion with him.
Outside the cave, a multitude of elders from Lion Tiger Mountain, alongside Liu the Taoist, had been anticipating their arrival for over half a month.
Uncertain of the duration Chen Yang would spend inside, they opted to wait near the entrance.
After all, the matter of the inheritance was of considerable importance, and many were eager to ascertain the outcome as swiftly as possible.
Rumble…
On what was ordinarily a tranquil afternoon, a colossal sound suddenly emanated from the stone door!
The assembled elders were jolted from their reverie with surprise!
“He’s emerged, he’s emerged! Little Friend Chen Yang has come out!”
“After two and a half months, he has finally exited!”
…
Previously, the elders of Lion Tiger Mountain had not consented to his entry.
However, upon sensing that Chen Yang had successfully secured the inheritance, they exchanged approving smiles.
The elders promptly rose from their meditative postures and proceeded towards the cave’s entrance.
Liu the Taoist, experiencing the greatest excitement, hastened towards the cave’s opening the moment the commotion began.
His face beamed with joy upon witnessing Chen Yang’s emergence!
“Little Friend Chen Yang, you have finally emerged!” Liu the Taoist approached with evident happiness.
Chen Yang, emerging alongside the small tiger, remained somewhat disoriented by the scene unfolding outside.
Why were all the elders of Lion Tiger Mountain present? Could it be they had foreseen his emergence from the ancient cave today?
Little did he realize that these elders had collectively waited for half a month.
Their sole objective was to ascertain the situation as promptly as possible.
“Old man, why are all of you gathered here? Did you somehow know I would emerge today?” Chen Yang inquired, his brow furrowed in confusion.
“How could we possibly know? We have been waiting here for half a month,” an elder stepped forward with a smile, offering the explanation.
“These old fellows were worried about missing something crucial, so they positioned themselves here to await your emergence,” Liu the Taoist quipped. He then swiftly inquired, “Little friend, how did things proceed within the cave? Were all the inheritances successfully obtained?”
It wasn't merely Liu the Taoist; the surrounding elders were also keenly anticipating Chen Yang’s response.
“I have accepted everything,” Chen Yang replied with a slight nod. Everyone had already mentally prepared themselves for the news of Chen Yang’s success.
Yet, upon seeing his nod, an undeniable surge of elation coursed through them!
“Little friend, you truly have not disappointed this humble Taoist! I informed you that your innate talent was more than capable of overcoming the inheritance Formation!” Liu the Taoist was the most ecstatic, as if he already foresaw the dawn of Red Cloud’s revival.
“Wonderful! The Red Cloud inheritance has finally been revealed, and our sect gains an additional source of power.”
“Isn’t that right? Congratulations, Martial Uncle!”
“Congratulations, Martial Uncle!”
…
A contingent of elders expressed their joy, offering congratulations to Liu the Taoist one after another.
Following a period of celebration, they began to inquire about the specifics of the inheritance.
Many were aware of the contents: the Red Cloud lineage housed an extensive compilation of Cultivation Techniques, an undeniable treasure for any cultivator.
“As agreed with the old man, I’ve meticulously organized all the Cultivation Techniques within the Bronze Great Hall of the cave mansion. I personally only selected three.” With that statement, Chen Yang produced the three Cultivation Techniques he had chosen for examination.
The assembled elders found his actions to be quite reasonable and offered no further objections.
Given the sheer volume of Cultivation Techniques available, it was understandable that Chen Yang would limit his selection to just three.
“It’s all inside? Then let us enter together and take a look. The inheritance Formation has been breached, so the suppression Formation should also be dismantled!” an elder eagerly suggested.
“We must go in and observe; such a vast collection of Cultivation Techniques is of paramount importance.”
“Our sect is destined for great prosperity!”
Upon hearing Chen Yang’s words, the group of elders clamored to enter and survey the contents.
Liu the Taoist, however, was not pleased.
“Hold on, hold on! What are you all doing? The Formation is broken, and according to our agreement, your side lost. Those inheritance Cultivation Techniques belong to us. Why are you all so concerned? Are you intending to renege on the deal and act dishonorably?” Liu the Taoist quickly moved to block the elders.
The elders, who moments before wore smiles of happiness, abruptly froze, as if suddenly doused in icy water.
“Hehe, Martial Uncle, those words are rather harsh. We are all from the same sect, merely feeling a touch of unease, why be so stingy?” one elder remarked with an awkward chuckle.
“Indeed, Martial Uncle. Since the Red Cloud lineage’s inheritance has been revealed, it’s only natural for us to enter for a brief inspection.”
The elders all spoke with genial smiles and pleasant words.
Liu the Taoist, sensing no malicious intent from these individuals, relented and permitted them to proceed. They all entered the cave mansion together.
Chen Yang followed suit, entering once more.
As they journeyed towards the Bronze Great Hall, Chen Yang recounted the general process by which he had overcome the inheritance Formation.
Listening to Chen Yang’s explanation, the elders had little to add, as his actions were entirely justifiable.
Nonetheless, a few elders still harbored a tinge of regret.
This regret stemmed from the fact that the primary value of the Red Cloud lineage’s inheritance lay in its Formations.
The Feng Shui and Formations employed by the Red Cloud lineage were considered peak achievements of ancient times.
Chen Yang’s success in breaching the inheritance Formation implied he had grasped the core principles of these Formations, leaving the Cultivation Techniques as mere methodologies, stripped of their unique significance.
However, possession of anything was certainly preferable to possessing nothing.
Despite lacking unique significance, these Cultivation Techniques remained critically important for the development and sustenance of a sect.
The assembled elders, accompanied by Chen Yang and Liu the Taoist, ascended the mountain, continuing their climb to the summit where the Bronze Great Hall was situated.
