1: Chapter 1 Treating Sister-in-Law’s Illness In June, the scorching sun baked the secluded Liuh River Village.

Chen Yang, the sole physician in Liuh River Village, dozed languidly on a rocking chair within his clinic.

Though Chen Yang's clinic was the only medical facility for many miles, his practice was not exactly thriving.

The region, vast as it was, possessed a meager population; even consolidating several neighboring mountain hamlets amounted to only a few hundred souls.

Liuh River Village itself lay nestled deep within the mountains, its accessibility severely restricted.

Several years prior, in a bid to ameliorate this isolation, the surrounding villages united in a grand project to construct a road into and out of the mountains.

However, the treacherous mountain terrain proved unforgiving. During construction, a devastating landslide tragically claimed the lives of many able-bodied men from the vicinity.

Among the fallen were Chen Yang's own parents.

Following their demise, and in solemn adherence to their final wish—that villagers would no longer endure the arduous journey of dozens of miles on precarious mountain paths to seek medical help beyond their remote haven—Chen Yang, a university graduate armed with a medical degree, returned to the impoverished Liuh River Village. Here, he established his clinic.

Liuh River Village was a place of stark poverty, a world away from the bustling metropolises Chen Yang had once inhabited.

Were it not for the promise made to his parents, Chen Yang harbored no desire whatsoever to remain in such a desolate locale.

Despite its poverty, Liuh River Village was not entirely devoid of liveliness.

The road construction disaster had depleted the area of most of its working-age male population.

What remained were a handful of timid young women and a considerable number of solitary widows.

These widows, having been left husbandless at an early age, often experienced profound feelings of emptiness and solitude. They would occasionally invent pretexts to visit Chen Yang under the guise of medical check-ups, bestowing upon him suggestive glances…

Thus, despite the challenging circumstances, Chen Yang found himself in daily contact with the female residents, injecting a measure of amusement into his otherwise mundane existence.

Shortly after midday, having finished his meal, Chen Yang was lounging on a sofa, engrossed in his mobile phone, when a striking young widow, attired in a figure-hugging black lace deep-V T-shirt and blue denim jeans, sauntered into the clinic, her voluptuous hips swaying enticingly.

Gazing at the widow's perfectly rounded posterior, Chen Yang nearly succumbed to the impulse to reach out and give it a playful slap, just to gauge its firmness.

Swallowing audibly, Chen Yang offered a slight chuckle as he rose to his feet. “Aunt Wang? What brings you to my humble clinic today?”

The woman, whose name was Wang Hong, was indeed one of Liuh River Village's many widowed residents.

Though Wang Hong was already in her thirties, her maturity did not betray her age; rather, it lent her a captivating allure, akin to a ripe peach, exuding a sweet juiciness when gently squeezed.

“What else would I be here for, if not to see the doctor?” Wang Hong quipped, casting a sideways glance at Chen Yang.

“Hehe, please have a seat, Aunt Wang, and tell me what ails you,” Chen Yang said with a genial smile, offering her a stool as he gestured for her to sit.

Wang Hong, without ceremony, occupied the stool and commenced detailing her ailments.

“Over these past few months…

my ‘monthly visitor’ has been arriving with alarming irregularity, even wildly erratically!

And each occurrence is accompanied by excruciating cramps…”

A faint blush tinged her cheeks as Wang Hong divulged her personal symptoms. While such matters were typically considered private, Chen Yang’s status as the sole medical practitioner in the vicinity compelled her to overcome her embarrassment and confide in him.

Upon hearing Wang Hong's account, Chen Yang immediately grasped the nature of her condition. It was unmistakably a case of menstrual irregularities. All that was truly required was increased rest, maintaining warmth, and perhaps, at most, a prescription for a couple of herbal remedies to help regulate her system.

However, confronted with such a mature and alluring widow, how could Chen Yangpossibly resist engaging in a bit of playful banter?

“Oh dear, Auntie Wang! This sounds like a rather severe symptom that requires prompt attention; otherwise, it might exacerbate over time,” Chen Yang feigned a look of concern.

“Ah? Is it truly that serious? Can you, Doctor Chen, help Auntie Wang?” Wang Hong’s anxiety flared upon learning the perceived gravity of her condition. Having never experienced such symptoms before, she readily believed Chen Yang’s grave expression, convinced that her situation was indeed dire.

“Auntie Wang, what are you implying? I am a graduate of a medical university, after all; are there any illnesses I cannot cure?” Chen Yang asserted with a serious mien.

“You can cure it? Then, please treat Auntie Wang quickly; I don’t want it to worsen.” Auntie Wang became visibly agitated.

“Hmm… Auntie Wang, your condition necessitates a specialized acupoint massage therapy to ensure smooth circulation of Qi throughout your body and to prevent further disarray,” Chen Yang explained with earnest sincerity.

“Alright then… Chen Yang, please proceed with the acupoint massage treatment on me without delay!” Auntie Wang, upon hearing that a specific treatment existed, readily agreed to the proposed course of action.

The greatest dread for women was undoubtedly experiencing torment from their relatives.

Each occurrence felt like Wang Hong's insides were being ripped asunder!

It was utterly terrifying!

Upon learning that delaying treatment could exacerbate her condition, her fear naturally escalated.

“Very well!

Auntie Wang, please accompany me,” Chen Yang said, a faint smile gracing his lips. He then guided the visibly anxious Auntie Wang to the clinic’s inner chamber and instructed her to recline on the examination bed.

After meticulously preparing everything, Chen Yang returned and secured the inner room's door.

“Chen Yang, what are you doing? Why the need to lock the door for a mere treatment?” Witnessing Chen Yang engage the lock, Auntie Wang’s eyes widened slightly, a nascent unease beginning to stir within her.

“Hehe, Auntie Wang, this specific massage technique demands a certain degree of privacy. What if someone were to enter during our session? Think how awkward that might appear for both of us?” Chen Yang replied with a smile.

Hearing Chen Yang’s explanation, Wang Hong found it quite reasonable. A man and a woman, alone together—it was bound to invite scrutiny!

“Alright then, please proceed; I still need to collect the children this afternoon.” Wang Hong slowly closed her eyes, a flicker of anticipation in her expression, ready to receive Chen Yang’s therapeutic massage.

However, Chen Yang did not commence immediately. Instead, he approached Wang Hong, met her gaze with gravity, and stated, “Auntie Wang, this massage therapy is exceptionally profound. Its efficacy hinges on precisely targeting specific acupoints, therefore, it is imperative that you remove your attire to allow for accurate pinpointing.”

“Ah?

I must remove my clothes?” Wang Hong was taken aback, entirely unprepared for the requirement of disrobing for the treatment.

“Indeed, Auntie Wang. Wearing clothing would obstruct the acupoints, potentially rendering the treatment ineffective. Moreover, if your condition were to worsen, it would present a significant predicament,” Chen Yang elaborated, detailing the intricacies of his massage modality, its profound nature, and the dire consequences of her ailment escalating.

His words succeeded in instilling fear in Wang Hong.

Finally, recalling the usual torment inflicted by her relatives, she gritted her teeth and acquiesced!

“Understood!

I shall comply with your instructions!” After a moment of contemplation, Auntie Wang decisively shed her lace T-shirt, unveiling a considerable expanse of skin and her undergarments.

The sight that unfolded before him left Chen Yang momentarily parched, a flush of blood surging through him.

Despite being past thirty, Auntie Wang possessed a remarkably well-preserved physique!

Chen Yang’s eyes nearly bulged from their sockets, captivated by the view.

“Maintain professionalism, young man, no gazing; attend to your aunt promptly!” Auntie Wang cast a sideways glance at the momentarily flustered Chen Yang, then, with a blush, closed her eyes and positioned herself.

Curiously, the act of shedding her outer garment seemed to ignite an unusual sensation within Wang Hong.

Her heart felt as though it were fluttering with a thousand tiny wings, filled with a subtle, burgeoning sense of anticipation.

“Hehe!

Excellent!” Chen Yang rubbed his hands together, let out a soft chuckle, and then began the treatment.
