An Baobei and Ning Zihan have a surprisingly calm conversation after the day's events. He cooks for her, and she admits she's starting to like him but needs time to consider a relationship. Ning Zihan agrees to wait patiently as she decides.

As soon as An Baobei came back, she told them, "I’ve already made up my mind, I’ll continue streaming! Streaming is my career, I can’t just give up on my career so easily. Besides, the money I earn from streaming is donated to charity to help those in need; it’s much more meaningful than just working to pass the time."

The family wasn’t lacking in money, and An Jing and the others were actually supportive of whatever An Baobei wanted to do, just worried she might regret it. Now that they saw An Baobei had thought it through, naturally, no one had any objections.

Su Chengyu, however, was very nosy.

As soon as Ning Zihan, this big brother-in-law, left, Su Chengyu sidled up to An Baobei and asked, "Baobei, I feel like there’s something different between you and my big brother-in-law. What, are you two together?"

An Baobei laughed, "If we were together, we’d definitely tell you all. Since I haven’t said anything, of course we’re not together."

Su Chengyu frowned, "Then why do I feel like something’s off about you two, like the feeling you give off is completely different than before, almost as if you already are a couple."

An Baobei also frowned, "Really? I don’t feel anything."

"Yes!" Su Chengyu nodded emphatically, "If you don’t believe me, ask your parents! They definitely see it as clearly as I do. Just now, he sat next to you so naturally, and you didn’t react at all, as if that’s exactly how it should be. At that moment, I really thought you two were together!"

An Baobei looked towards An Jing and Su Changyi.

Su Changyi said nothing, but An Jing laughed, "It does feel a little different from before you went to the beach together, but I don’t feel like your uncle that you’re together. It just feels like there’s no longer a sense of estrangement between you two, unlike before, when it always seemed like there was something in the way, keeping you apart."

Su Chengyu quickly nodded in agreement, "Yes, yes, yes, your sister-in-law expressed it exactly right. That’s actually the feeling I had too, I just couldn’t find the words to describe it, so I said it felt like they were together."

An Baobei could also sense the change in the feeling between her and Ning Zihan, but she hadn’t realized it was so obvious.

Frowning again, she then honestly said, "I’ve already told him that I’ll consider being with him. I’m contemplating it now, but I don’t know how long it’ll take to make a decision. If I really can’t make up my mind and am still afraid of being hurt by him again, then it’ll just have to be a no."

Seeing that An Baobei was no longer avoiding the issue and started considering it, An Jing and the others were very happy for her.

Except for Su Changyi, who wasn’t very pleased. Ning Zihan had hurt his precious daughter before, and even taken liberties with her. No matter how good Ning Zihan was to his precious daughter now, he didn’t want Ning Zihan to be his son-in-law at all.

An Baobei didn’t notice Su Changyi’s displeasure and was talking with Ning Wenxian. Ning Wenxian was the happiest person present. Ever since knowing Ning Zihan was pursuing An Baobei, she’d hoped they would be together. Now that An Baobei finally agreed to consider it, she was naturally delighted.

After finishing her conversation with the overjoyed Ning Wenxian, An Baobei remembered something, turned her head and asked Su Haoyu, "Grandpa, you’re going for another check-up tomorrow, right?"

At the mention of a check-up, Su Haoyu sighed, "I actually feel like my body is all healed, no need for check-ups, but Dr. Qian still wants me to have regular check-ups, and your dad and the others are worried something might happen to me again, so they insist I go. There’s no choice but to go tomorrow."
