The barrier in front of his hand had started to change.

The stable flow of energy began to lose its order, and the surface of the barrier slowly started to disperse. The lines of mana that had been connected perfectly began to separate from one another as if something was pulling them apart.

"What?"

Ethan stared at the scene with surprise.

It actually worked.

The Chaos energy was slowly breaking the order of the barrier.

A faint smile appeared on Ethan's face as he increased the amount of Chaos energy flowing from his body. He pressed both hands against the barrier and began forcing the layers apart.

The barrier started to twist and shake.

The energy around his hands became more chaotic as Ethan pushed deeper. The solid layer of the barrier began to separate from the center, and Ethan forced the broken parts toward the sides.

With a powerful push, he tore open a large gap.

Ethan stepped forward.

The moment his body passed through the barrier, he immediately raised Solaris.

The greatsword was covered in powerful energy as Ethan swung it toward the pillar.

BOOOOOOOOM!

The blade slammed into the pillar with thunderous might.

Cracks spread across its surface before the entire structure broke apart. The magic circles connected to it flickered violently, and the pillar collapsed under the overwhelming force.

Ethan looked at the destroyed pillar, and his heart leaped in joy.

"One down...Few more to go."

He did not waste any more time.

Ethan turned toward the next pillar and moved swiftly through the underground chamber. The Chaos energy continued to gather around his hands as he reached the next barrier and repeated the same process.

He manipulated the mana, turned it into Chaos energy and pressed it against the barrier.

The stable energy began to disperse again.

Ethan forced his way through and attacked the second pillar.

BOOM!

The pillar broke apart.

Without stopping, Ethan moved toward another one.

The same process happened again.

The barrier was torn open, and Ethan stepped inside before swinging Solaris with full force.

BOOOOOOM!

The third pillar shattered under his attack.

Ethan looked toward the remaining pillars. His expression became more confident as he prepared to continue.

He quickly moved toward the fourth pillar and raised his hand to use Chaos again.

But before he could do anything, a powerful attack suddenly shot toward him from the side.

He quickly moved aside and avoided the first attack, then another one followed immediately.

Ethan twisted his body and narrowly avoided it, but before he could move again, several strange tentacle-like things suddenly shot out from the side.

Ethan's expression changed.

He immediately moved his body to the side.

The attack passed dangerously close to him and slammed into the ground behind him.

BOOM!

Ethan landed several steps away and slowly raised his head.

His eyes became sharp as he looked toward the direction from which the attack had come.
