Emperor Caelus and Emperor Ezekiel invite Ethan to join their respective empires, with Queen Ophelia also extending an offer. Ethan politely defers his decision until after the war, stating he needs more time to learn about the nations. The rulers agree, and the focus shifts to their upcoming decisive battle against Arcadia. As Ethan leaves the meeting, he encounters Lady Heliana, who reveals she is Queen Ophelia's personal maid.

Heliana looked at Ethan for a long moment.

Her calm purple eyes carefully observed him from head to toe, almost as if she were comparing the young man standing before her with the one she had met ten years ago. The more she looked at him, the more surprised she became. After several moments of silence, a gentle smile appeared on her beautiful face, and she lightly shook her head in admiration.

"I really didn't expect this."

Her voice remained soft and calm.

"When we last met, you were still far from where you are now."

She paused briefly while continuing to look at him.

"But in just a decade... you have become this strong."

A trace of amazement could clearly be heard in her voice.

"The difference between the Ethan I met back then and the Ethan standing before me today is like the difference between heaven and hell."

"I have met countless talented people over the years. Some were called geniuses, while others were considered once-in-a-generation prodigies. Even so, very few of them have grown as quickly as you have."

She smiled again.

"To be honest, even I did not expect you to reach this level in only ten years."

Ethan smiled faintly after hearing her sincere praise.

He rubbed the back of his neck before giving a small nod.

"Thank you for your kind words."

"I was simply fortunate enough to receive a few opportunities along the way."

His answer was humble.

Heliana looked at him without saying anything for a few seconds.

She knew very well that luck alone could never produce someone like Ethan. Opportunities could open a path, but without enough determination, talent, and hard work, even the greatest opportunity would eventually be wasted. Still, she chose not to argue with him and simply accepted his modest answer with a faint smile.

The two of them began walking side by side through the camp.

Around them, soldiers continued preparing for the coming battle. Groups of knights inspected their equipment while blacksmiths repaired damaged weapons. Supply wagons moved from one side of the camp to the other, and scouts constantly entered and left the command area to deliver new reports. Despite the busy surroundings, the conversation between Ethan and Heliana remained calm and relaxed.

They spoke about the changes that had taken place over the last ten years. Heliana asked a few simple questions about Ethan's journey, while Ethan politely answered without revealing too many personal details. In return, Heliana briefly spoke about life in Eldoria and the many changes that had happened there over the years. Neither of them touched on sensitive matters, and both carefully avoided discussing anything related to military secrets or political affairs.

After walking together for some time, Heliana turned toward Ethan.

"What are your plans after the war?"

Her question caused Ethan to become quiet.

He lifted his head and looked toward the distant mountains beyond the camp. He stood there thinking for a moment before finally answering.

"I haven't thought about it that much."

His voice remained calm.

"But if possible... I want to stay in my own territory."

He folded his arms while continuing to look into the distance.

"After all, once Arcadia falls, everyone will conquer a piece of it."

"It is only natural,"Heliana replied softly.

"I would rather stay in my own territory and protect it than continue wandering from one battlefield to another."

His answer was simple.

There were no grand ambitions.

He did not speak about ruling an empire or chasing greater authority.

He only wished to have a place that truly belonged to him, where he could live without constantly moving from one war to the next.

Heliana listened to every word.

A gentle smile appeared on her face.

For some reason, Ethan's answer was completely different from what she had expected. Most people with his strength dreamed of expanding their influence and standing above others. Yet Ethan's wish was surprisingly simple.

As she looked at the calm expression on his face, the smile on her lips unconsciously became a little warmer.

Heliana remained silent for a moment after hearing Ethan's words.

She could understand why he wanted to remain in his own territory after the war. However, whether that would actually be possible was another matter entirely.

Once Arcadia fell, its lands would inevitably be divided among the victorious forces. Who received which territory would depend on the agreements made between the various kingdoms and empires after the war.

After thinking for a moment, Heliana turned toward him.

"If that is truly what you want, perhaps I can help."

"Hm?"

Ethan glanced at her.

Heliana gave him a small smile.

"Once the war ends and Arcadia's territories are divided, I can speak with Her Majesty."

Ethan raised an eyebrow.

"You mean the Queen of Eldoria?"

"Yes."

Heliana nodded.

"I cannot promise anything, of course. The distribution of conquered territory will involve many parties, and Eldoria alone cannot decide everything."

She paused before continuing.

"But if the land containing your territory happens to fall under Eldoria's control, I can request Her Majesty to allow you to continue ruling it."

Ethan looked slightly surprised.

Heliana continued calmly.

"Considering your contribution to this war and your current strength, I don't believe such a request would be unreasonable."

"At the very least, I can speak to Her Majesty on your behalf."

Hearing this, Ethan fell silent.

He appreciated the offer, but he didn't have much hope of it actually happening.

The division of Arcadia after the war would undoubtedly involve countless negotiations, agreements, and conflicting interests between the victorious powers. Whether Eldoria would even obtain the region containing his territory was uncertain.

There were simply too many things that could go wrong.

Still, there was no reason to reject Heliana's goodwill.

Ethan absentmindedly nodded.

"Thank you."

There was neither excitement nor expectation in his voice.

Heliana noticed his reaction but said nothing.

Ethan looked toward the distant mountains again.

For now, the matter was far too uncertain to think about seriously.

They first had to win the war.

Everything else could wait until then.
