The Arcadian forces launched a full-scale assault, breaching the Xylos barrier and engaging their troops in brutal combat. Meanwhile, the Saints fighting high above the battlefield noticed the chaos below. To divert attention, the Xylos Saints retreated from their duels, intending to attack the Arcadian army. Ethan, sensing the danger to his own soldiers, abandoned his fight and intercepted one of the retreating Saints, delivering a powerful blow.

BOOOOOOOM!

A sharp explosive sound echoed across the battlefield.

The collision unleashed an enormous shockwave that swept through the surrounding sky and sent nearby experts flying backward while the violent pressure shook the ground below.

The Saint's eyes widened in disbelief.

His body folded inward from the overwhelming force. Then he was blasted downward like a falling meteor.

CRAAAAASH!

He slammed brutally into the earth beneath him.

The ground exploded apart.

A massive crater formed instantly while rocks, shattered soil, dust, and broken debris shot high into the air before scattering in every direction.

For several long moments, nothing could be seen except the thick cloud of dust rising from the impact site.

Only after the smoke slowly began to settle did another figure descend from above.

Ethan landed directly before the Arcadian barracks while gripping his greatsword tightly in one hand.

His gaze slowly swept across every Saint hovering in the sky.

His expression was colder than ice.

Then his voice echoed clearly throughout the battlefield.

"I don't care who you are."

"But don't you dare attack this place."

"Or else..."

The moment Ethan's words faded into the night, an eerie silence briefly settled over the battlefield while every Saint hovering above instinctively stopped moving and carefully observed the young man standing before the Arcadian barracks.

His lone figure seemed insignificant compared to the vast battlefield around him, yet the calm confidence radiating from him caused even experienced experts to become cautious. For a brief instant, no one moved, and only the distant cries of soldiers and the crackling of burning fires could be heard.

A scoff suddenly broke the silence.

"You think you can stop all of us alone?"

Another Saint looked down at Ethan with open disdain before laughing coldly.

"What arrogance."

Acker wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and slowly climbed out of the crater below while glaring at Ethan with undisguised hatred. Dust covered his armor and his breathing was rough, but the murderous intent in his eyes only grew stronger as he pointed his blade forward.

"I told you before."

"I will kill you."

At his words, several Saints immediately began closing in from different directions while surrounding Ethan from every possible angle.

One advanced from the left side, another slowly descended from above, and the remaining experts quietly tightened the encirclement while releasing overwhelming killing intent that spread across the heavens and weighed down on everyone below.

Even the soldiers fighting beneath could feel their skin crawl from the pressure.

High above, Duke Osantra's expression changed immediately.

"Ethan!"

"Fall back!"

His voice echoed loudly, but Ethan showed no intention of retreating. He simply stood where he was while lowering his greatsword to his side and raising his left hand toward the dark sky as though answering an unseen call.

The instant his hand rose, the mana throughout the battlefield became unstable.

The surrounding air trembled violently while strange humming sounds echoed through the heavens and countless tiny sparks danced around Ethan's body.

One enormous magic circle appeared above him. A second one followed almost immediately. A third emerged moments later, and the number continued increasing until hundreds of gigantic magic circles covered the entire sky.

Every single formation glowed with blinding blue and golden light while ancient runes continuously rotated across their surfaces and illuminated the darkness beneath.

The Saints who had been advancing gradually slowed down. The mocking smiles on their faces quietly disappeared while even the ordinary soldiers below sensed that something terrifying was unfolding before their eyes.

The wind abruptly changed direction. Violent gusts swept across the battlefield while thick black clouds gathered from every corner of the horizon and swallowed the clear night sky. The stars vanished completely beneath the endless darkness as thunder rolled continuously through the heavens.

RUMBLE...

RUMBLE...

RUMBLE...

The entire battlefield seemed to shake beneath the weight of the gathering mana. One Saint slowly looked upward while the confidence in his expression faded little by little.

"What kind of spell is this?"

Another unconsciously tightened his grip on his weapon because the pressure pouring down from the dark clouds made even someone of his level feel deeply uneasy.

A blinding flash suddenly illuminated the heavens.

CRAAAAACK!

A gigantic bolt of lightning descended from the black clouds like divine punishment itself. The pillar of lightning was wider than several towers placed together while its brilliance swallowed the battlefield in pure white light. One Saint barely had enough time to raise his weapon before the lightning crashed directly into him.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The explosion shook the entire world. The violent impact blasted him downward while electricity surged wildly across his armor and forced a painful scream from his mouth.

Another flash erupted almost immediately.

CRAAAAACK!

A second bolt descended.

Another followed only moments later.

CRAAAAACK!

Another.

CRAAAAACK!

Within seconds, the heavens had transformed into a sea of lightning while gigantic pillars of white and blue energy continuously descended from above and explosions erupted one after another across the battlefield.

Every Saint attempting to approach Ethan was forced onto the defensive. Some desperately swung their swords in an effort to split the descending lightning. Some hurriedly erected barriers around themselves. Others abandoned all dignity and fled at full speed simply to avoid direct impact.

Despite all those efforts, the lightning continued raining down without pause while the dark clouds overhead churned violently and endless thunder rolled across the mountains.

Countless flashes illuminated the land again and again until the battlefield no longer resembled a place where humans fought one another. Instead, it looked as though the heavens themselves had opened and were delivering divine judgment upon everyone beneath.

One Divine Knight stared upward with trembling lips.

"My God..."

Another swallowed hard while his hands shook around the hilt of his sword.

"Is he really a human?"

Even several Saints felt genuine fear creeping into their hearts while looking at Ethan standing motionless beneath the endless storm. The young man did not chant.

He did not move. He simply remained where he was while lightning tribulation continuously descended around him and transformed the battlefield into a catastrophic disaster zone where every advance was answered by another terrifying pillar of heavenly thunder.

For the first time since the battle had begun, hesitation appeared within the hearts of the Xylos Saints.
