Three nobles—Garet, Hamel, and Pentos—interrupted Ethan and Amber's wedding ceremony, sarcastically requesting a demonstration of his legendary strength. Tension gripped the courtyard as guests whispered and soldiers bristled, while Amber warned of trouble and Duke Lancelot observed silently. Ethan calmly accepted the challenge but demanded all three attack him together, leaving the assembly stunned.

"It will end quickly."

Hamel's face grew a touch darker from those plain words.

"Arrogant," he grumbled under his breath.

Pentos advanced steadily and rested a hand on Hamel's shoulder.

"Calm down," he whispered softly.

Next, he turned his gaze toward Ethan.

"If you insist on such a condition, we will not refuse." Garet rolled his shoulders leisurely as he undid his sleeves.

"Well then," he uttered with a subtle grin.

"Let us see what the famous Marquise Ethan is capable of."

Duke Lancelot, who watched the whole affair in silence, abruptly lifted his hand a little.

The priest retreated at once.

Servants and guests hurried away from the courtyard's middle as guards formed a broad clear area.

In mere moments, the wedding yard transformed into a makeshift battleground.

Ethan walked ahead with poise to position himself at the heart of the cleared space.

He kept a loose stance. His hands stayed bare. He didn't bother touching the sword at his hip.

Observers caught that subtle action.

Garet's gaze sharpened just a bit.

"You are not drawing your weapon?" he questioned.

Ethan shook his head with composure.

"There is no need."

Hamel let out a chilly laugh.

"Don't regret it later."

In the instant that followed, his aura erupted. A mighty surge of power swept through the courtyard.

Numerous guests drew sharp breaths.

"Legendary rank!"

"He's already at that level?"

Hamel advanced a single step. The stone tiles under his boots splintered faintly from his aura's force.

Simultaneously, Pentos and Garet unleashed their auras too.

Three intense forces blanketed the courtyard. The air thickened right away.

Weaker nobles backed away on reflex. Some troops clutched their weapons tighter, eyeing the trio warily.

Amber's brow furrowed as she observed them.

Three Legendary rank warriors.

Ethan, however, just remained steady in place.

He cracked his neck a tad and shrugged his shoulders like gearing up for light training, not a fierce clash.

Afterward, he eyed the trio and remarked casually.

"Ready?"

Fury sparked in Hamel's eyes.

"Don't act so relaxed!"

The very next instant, his body launched ahead.

BOOM!

The earth burst under his feet while he charged at Ethan with horrifying velocity.

His fist sliced the wind like a mallet targeted straight for Ethan's torso.

A few guests inhaled sharply in alarm.

"That speed!"

Yet Ethan held still until the final instant. Right when Hamel's strike neared his chest, he shifted sideways subtly.

WHOOSH.

The blow whiffed past by inches.

Prior to Hamel recovering, Ethan's palm seized his wrist abruptly.

"What—"

CRASH!

Ethan wrenched his limb and hurled him straight down. The collision pulverized the stone tiles.

Dust billowed upward as fissures raced through the yard.

The whole assembly gasped in unison.

"That fast?!"

Hamel hacked fiercely as he fought to rise from the pit he formed.

Ethan released him promptly. He retreated with ease and brushed off his sleeve like it was no big deal.

"Next," he stated offhandedly.

Garet's look soured at once.

They charged together without pause, him and Pentos.

A pair of silhouettes barreled at Ethan from both flanks.

Their strikes synced flawlessly.

One sword targeted his arm. The other punch headed for his side.

Their teamwork proved impeccable.

Ethan shifted abruptly though.

His form weaved amid the assaults fluidly like liquid.

CLANG.

His grip snagged the sword.

Simultaneously, his elbow rammed Pentos' torso.

BOOM!

Pentos reeled away hacking up a storm.

Concurrently, Ethan lashed out with a kick.

THUD!

Garet skidded back many paces over the yard stones. Debris and rubble flew about.

Ethan rose to full height gradually. He regarded the three lords steadily.

"You should attack together properly," he advised.

"Otherwise this will end too quickly."

Right after that initial clash, the yard plunged into shocked quiet.

Shards of rock and haze hung where Hamel got pounded into the earth. Pentos lurched rearward grasping his torso, while Garet glided a good distance over the yard stones before halting just in time.

Guests gawked in astonishment.

A lord murmured in awe, "He pushed all three of them back so easily?"

Soldiers by the walls flashed proud smirks.

Yet the three lords wore no grins anymore.

Hamel hauled himself up slowly from the fractured stone. Dust coated his garb, and rage deepened his features.

"You bastard…" he muttered, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.

Garet also wiped his lips and rose slowly to his feet. The calm look on his face had vanished entirely.

Pentos straightened his back, fixing a grave stare on Ethan.

They had underestimated him.

Utterly.

Hamel balled his fists tight and unleashed a burst of power.

BOOM!

His aura exploded outward with savage force. A tremendous energy surge swept through the courtyard, shoving nearby guests back several steps.

Garet and Pentos mirrored his move.

Three mighty Legendary Rank auras detonated at once. The air grew thick with crushing pressure right away.

Amber's face tensed a little as she sensed the surging power.

Duke Lancelot narrowed his eyes yet stayed seated with steady poise.

Ethan just stared at them coolly.

"So now you're serious," he murmured softly.

Hamel vaulted skyward in a flash. His figure blasted upward like a cannon shell.

Garet and Pentos chased after him without delay. Moments later, all three hovered high over the courtyard.

Ethan glanced up and crouched his knees faintly.

BOOM!

The pavement shattered under his soles as he rocketed into the air.

The clash now raged high above the wedding grounds.

Onlookers below craned their necks to gaze upward while guards rushed to widen the open area.

Soaring over the manor, the four silhouettes squared off in the sky.

Fierce gales whipped through the heavens as stray clouds floated lazily nearby.

Hamel struck without hesitation.

Crimson flames erupted around his fists while he let out a fierce roar.

"Flame Crushing Fist!"

His form morphed into a blazing streak hurtling straight at Ethan.

Right then, Garet pulled out his sword.

A razor-sharp silver glow coiled around the edge.

"Halcrest Wind Cut!"

He slashed hard, sending a gigantic crescent of condensed wind ripping through the sky at Ethan.

Pentos thrust his palms ahead.

Bright magical arrays flickered into existence near him.

"Storm Spear Formation!"

Countless thunderbolts spears materialized in an instant and barraged Ethan from every angle.

The heavens over the estate erupted in a storm of assaults.
