Tension filled the air as Grace confronted Haines about the underlying motives of their relationship, believing his feelings were rooted in pity rather than genuine affection. After an emotional exchange, she withdrew, leaving him regretful about revealing her past struggles. Days later, as Haines attempted to win her back with small gestures, Grace’s unexpected illness led to the shocking revelation of her pregnancy, leaving both of them in a state of disbelief. Their families reacted with chaotic surprise, but ultimately, the couple found purpose in their impending parenthood, navigating the complexities of love and commitment as they prepared for a shared future.

[Extra 2: Nina’s and Finn’s Wedding]

"Let’s party to celebrate the death of Max’s last idiotic brain cell!!" Penny declared, a wine bottle gripped in her hand.

Every face in the room turned toward her, turning pale with dread. Time seemed to crawl as they watched Penny lift the bottle directly to her lips.

"Noooo...!" a chorus of voices cried out in slow motion, hands outstretched in a desperate attempt to stop her from drinking.

Every single person joined the effort, including Mark and Angel over at the other table. They were too slow, however. Penny drained the wine and let out a satisfied hiss.

"Hah!" She smacked her lips together, looking radiant. "That officially concludes the funeral for Max’s final functioning brain cell!"

Everyone: "..."

"Max, Ginnie, since it feels like you two are the next ones headed for the altar, I just want to say—" Penny paused, blinking rapidly and squinting as her vision began to double. "You guys... quit moving around..."

With every passing second, Penny felt the world spinning more violently. She lost consciousness before she even realized what was happening. Luckily, Zoren caught her just before her forehead could slam against the table.

He lowered her gently until her head was resting safely on the surface.

The group stood frozen, staring at her, fully aware of the chaos Penny usually caused when she was intoxicated. In a state of sheer horror, they began a mental countdown.

"One... two... four... seven... ten..."

Yet, even as they reached the count of twenty, Penny remained perfectly still.

"Huh?" Slater questioned, his brow furrowing. "She isn't waking up?"

"Is she just faking it?" Angel asked suddenly.

They waited another full minute before Zoren finally reached out to touch her shoulder. "Penny?"

He gave her shoulder a soft nudge, turning her head so everyone could see her face. To their collective amazement, Penny was fast asleep with a serene smile on her lips.

For the first time, Penny had consumed wine without waking up as a completely different person.

The "Drunk Penny" was nowhere to be found; she had finally discovered her peace.

[Extra 3: Cassandra]

"By order of this court, in the matter of Cassandra Smith versus the State..." the judge began, and the room fell into a breathless silence as everyone hung on his every word. "... this case is hereby dismissed."

The instant those words left the judge's mouth, Cassandra bolted from her chair and spun toward Grace. With eyes shimmering with tears of relief, she threw her arms around Grace before she could even speak.

"Thank you," she choked out. "Thank you so much!"

Grace offered a smile, gently patting her on the back. Once Cassandra released her, she looked toward the back of the room. Kiara was standing in the front row, tears streaming down her face.

"Cassy!"

"Ki!" Cassandra rushed to the gallery rail, pulling Kiara into a tight embrace over the fence.

The judge continued to explain the reasoning behind his ruling, but his words fell on deaf ears. The dismissal had come because of new developments in the case that implicated Senator Smith along with several other business leaders and politicians.

While they celebrated, Penny remained in a corner of the courtroom. A small smile played on her lips as she watched Kiara and Cassandra weeping and hugging one another. She shifted her gaze toward Grace, only to find that Grace was already looking back at her.

Penny gave a small nod before pushing herself off the wall and exiting the courtroom. She had come solely to hear the final judgment, and hearing that Cassandra had won felt... unusual.

While Cassandra was the most joyful about the dismissal, Penny was the one who felt the most relieved.

Stepping out of the building, Penny paused on the courthouse steps to look up at the sky.

"Heh," she smirked, finally doing what had been impossible in her first life—walking away freely from the same courthouse where her death sentence had once been read.

[Extra 4: Kiara and Hugo]

"Miss Kiara!"

Kiara was in the middle of stacking boxes when a worker's shout made her stop. She looked up, her eyebrows rising as she spotted the worker near the warehouse entrance. Standing beside him was...

"Your boyfriend is here!"

Kiara somehow missed the comment, smiling brightly when she saw that Hugo had finally been discharged from the hospital. Setting the box down, she started jogging toward the entrance, but Hugo was already making his way toward her with long strides.

"Are you all better now?" she asked, checking his leg before looking into his eyes.

"Do you really think I’d be standing here if I wasn't?" he replied with a knowing smirk. "You saw how they practically locked all the doors and windows just to keep me stuck in that hospital bed."

She let out a soft laugh. "They were just looking out for you."

Hugo was notoriously difficult to keep still, after all. He had wanted to leave the moment he felt even slightly better. However, his entire family had teamed up to ensure he stayed hospitalized until his recovery was complete. Mint had even moved her office into his hospital room to keep a close eye on him.

A moment of silence passed between them before Kiara raised an eyebrow.

"Anyway, what brings you here?" she questioned. "You really ought to be at home resting."

Hugo’s expression turned sour. "I’ve done nothing but rest for a whole month."

"And a little more rest wouldn't hurt you."

"Forget that," he said, gesturing with his fingers. "Come on, let’s go."

"Huh?" Confusion washed over her face. "Go where?"

"I'm hungry."

Kiara frowned at his response. "No way, I'm not paying for your meal."

"I never said you had to treat me." He grinned at her. "I just received a bonus, and Mint handed hers over to me as well."

"She gave you her bonus?"

"She felt like she owed me since I nearly lost a leg because of her. Since the injury happened on her account, she sent her bonus my way when she got it." He shrugged, treating the money as if it were nothing more than pocket change.

"Anyway, let’s move. I’m starving," he insisted.

"Oh." Kiara’s mouth hung open for a second before she smiled and nodded. "So it’s your treat—right?"

"Exactly!"

The two began to walk away, with Kiara barely having time to tell her staff she was heading out for lunch. However, Hugo stopped abruptly as they approached his bike.

"Right!" he whispered, causing her to stop and look at him curiously.

"What is it?" she inquired, watching him rummage through his jacket pockets. When Hugo finally pulled his hand out, he was holding a single flower he had plucked on his way over.

He offered it to her with a bright smile. "This is for you."
