Wu Xiaoyu ventures into the treacherous mountains at night to gather herbs for his father's illness. He stumbles upon an illicit encounter between Mrs. Zhang and Niu Dachun. Startled, Wu Xiaoyu accidentally dislodges a snake, which causes chaos and prompts Niu Dachun to chase after him. While trying to evade his pursuer, Wu Xiaoyu falls down a cliff, his fate uncertain.

As the night deepened, the moon ascended, and stars emerged with boldness. The surrounding mountains vibrated with the calls of wild beasts, accompanied by the chirping of insects and frogs, creating a lively soundscape.

Wu Xiaoyu's eyes slowly fluttered open, and he discovered a peculiar jade token resting against his chest. He recognized it as a jade token, but its strangeness lay in the soft glow it emitted. Reaching out to touch it, his blood stained the token, causing its yellow light to instantly transform into a vibrant, colorful radiance.

Sitting up, Wu Xiaoyu held the jade token before his eyes, intending to inspect it more closely. Abruptly, the multicolored light surged from the token and shot directly into the center of his forehead, leaving his vision obscured by white. Upon regaining consciousness, he found himself in a serene valley, blessed with breathtaking scenery and warm sunshine. His mind, inexplicably, was now filled with profound knowledge of ancient medical arts and celestial astrology. More significantly, the valley was carpeted with rare herbs such as Lingzhi and ginseng. The ginseng plants were as thick as an arm and stood a foot tall, while the Lingzhi mushrooms unfurled like umbrellas.

He mused that even seasoned herbalists, accustomed to such fare, would be astonished if he were to present these herbs for sale. Upon closer examination, however, he noticed that nearly every herb bore distinct bite marks, rendering them all imperfect specimens. "Damn it!" he exclaimed inwardly. "Who would commit such a waste of precious resources?"

Before his lamentations could conclude, the sound of a thundering stampede echoed from the hill to his left. Wu Xiaoyu, uncertain of the cause or the nature of the approaching rush, quickly concealed himself behind a large tree to observe. Soon, the sounds of the stampede ceased, and a herd of hundreds of domestic animals emerged, leaving Zhang Dadan in stunned disbelief. These animals were, in fact, the ones gnawing on the herbs.

"My goodness! So it was these beasts all along!" Wu Xiaoyu felt a surge of anger mixed with curiosity. His anger stemmed from the destruction of such valuable herbs, but his curiosity was piqued by the animals' careful consumption, seemingly avoiding damage to the roots. After the herd finished their meal, they collectively moved towards the hill on the valley's right side.

Unable to suppress his burgeoning curiosity, Wu Xiaoyu followed the herd. Ascending the hill, he discovered a clear spring trickling from a rock face. After the animals drank from the spring, their bodies began to emanate a soft glow. "What is this place?" he wondered. "Why are these beasts so peculiar?"

Observing the animals depart in a manner akin to humans, Wu Xiaoyu approached the spring. There, etched onto a translucent jade stone, he saw three characters inscribed in clerical script: 'Drinking Water Area.' "These words couldn't possibly have been made by those beasts, could they?" he thought. "There must be someone here!"

Wu Xiaoyu began a thorough search of the mountains, but after considerable time, he found no trace of anyone. Just as his strength began to wane, he finally spotted a humble straw hut. With renewed excitement, he rushed over and pushed the door open, only to find the hut empty, thick with dust, suggesting it had been uninhabited for a long time. Just as disappointment began to set in and he was about to rest, his eyes fell upon a book. Wiping away the dust, four prominent golden characters were revealed: 'Xuanyuan Treasure Book.'

With no apparent means of exit or presence of others, Wu Xiaoyu resolved to read the 'Xuanyuan Treasure Book.' Upon perusing the preface, he finally grasped the situation. It turned out this place was an immortal's celestial farm, overseen by none other than Emperor Xuan Yuan himself, the proprietor of the 'Xuanyuan Treasure Book.' The preface elaborated that Emperor Xuan Yuan had undergone ten thousand years of cultivation to achieve the status of Immortal Emperor.

Yet, such a distinguished figure in the Immortal Realm had been assigned the duty of managing livestock by the Great Venerable. Feeling wronged, Emperor Xuan Yuan had cast the farm into the mortal world, abdicated his position, and embarked on a journey across the cosmos. The book revealed that Wu Xiaoyu was the destined individual.

The jade token pressed against his chest served as the gateway to the farm, imbued with a sliver of Emperor Xuan Yuan's immortal essence. Having been touched by Wu Xiaoyu's blood, it had recognized him as its rightful master. Consequently, this celestial farm now rightfully belonged to him, including both the herbs and the livestock. Paramount among these possessions, however, was the 'Xuanyuan Treasure Book' now in his possession, as Emperor Xuan Yuan himself had utilized the cultivation techniques within this very book to ascend to the rank of Immortal Emperor.

After a period of exhilarated contemplation, Wu Xiaoyu returned to the herb field. He carefully selected some toad herb and then, reciting an incantation, managed to depart from this mystical, small world.

Upon returning to reality, he found that all his wounds had healed.

Does this space also have healing functions?

After carefully keeping the jade token, Wu Xiaoyu took out his phone to check the time.

It was already eleven o’clock at night.

His parents must be very worried about him, so he hurriedly climbed out of the valley.

He had often roamed the mountains, so he was familiar with the terrain and paths.

It didn’t take him long to climb out.

But just as he left the valley, he encountered an even bigger problem—a fierce wolf blocked his way.

Damn it!

Although Wu Xiaoyu was brave, he wasn’t reckless.

He didn’t think he could handle such a fierce wolf.

Was he to die just after his serendipitous encounter, without time to rise to glory?

He felt a thousand or ten thousand times unwilling.

He still needed to take care of his parents and send his little sister to college.

He couldn’t die here!

He and the wolf stood facing each other on the cliff.

Wu Xiaoyu knew he couldn’t move, or the wolf would immediately pounce and tear him apart.

But his legs refused to listen, shaking nonstop.

Hold on, hold on!

Wu Xiaoyu kept psychologically suggesting to himself.

The wolf’s belly was sunken, and its fur was messy and dull, indicating it hadn’t eaten for a long time.

Now that it encountered prey, would it give up so easily?

It bared its fangs and let out a hoarse, terrifying growl.

Seeing the wolf ready to pounce, Wu Xiaoyu suddenly thought of the jade token in his pocket.

If he chanted the spell to enter the space within the jade token, the wolf couldn’t do anything to him.

At this critical moment, Wu Xiaoyu took out the jade token and was about to chant the spell when the wolf suddenly knelt on the ground, trembling all over!

What’s going on?

Could it be the jade token?

Wu Xiaoyu suddenly remembered that the ‘Xuanyuan Treasure Book’ mentioned how after being assigned to manage the Immortal Realm’s livestock, Emperor Xuan Yuan had authority over all beasts.

Now that he had inherited Emperor Xuan Yuan’s farm, did that mean these wolves, tigers, and leopards were also under his management?

Wu Xiaoyu tentatively said to the kneeling wolf, “Stand up!” To his surprise, the wolf stood up, trembling.

Nima!

It actually understood his words?

Feeling bolder, Wu Xiaoyu shouted at the wolf, “Get lost!” To his amazement, the wolf tucked its tail and ran away as fast as it could.

Ma de!

Am I even more powerful than the Mountain God now?

The entire mountain must submit to me.

With this, there should be no danger in venturing deep into the forest!
