Overbearing Immortal Doctor Chapter 1337 - 1436: Before the Ruins

"So, what are we waiting for? All four pieces of the treasure map are here. Let’s pinpoint the location of the fire." Zhai Zunzhe smiled, his gaze sweeping over everyone before finally settling on Qin Feng. "My little friend, though you possess the treasure map to the Skyfire, I must caution you. The Skyfire artifact is notoriously perilous. Given your current strength, it would be wise to entrust the map to us. Undertaking this alone is ill-advised."
"Handing the map over to you would likely result in my swift demise," Qin Feng replied with a faint chuckle. "If I give you all the maps, it’s hardly different from me revealing the path to you."
"Give you the map?" The Death God’s gaze turned frosty.
"What’s there to fear? I'm the weakest here. Are you worried I'll play some trick?" Qin Feng lightly touched his nose.
"Very well, if you dare to play tricks..."
"The Skyfire ruins wouldn't be situated in such a desolate locale. Should I discover you're trifling with us, hmph," Xing Ruixian directed a stern look at Qin Feng.
"Fools. If the spiritual essence here were potent enough to draw Bai Feng to this court, it would have been discovered long ago. Would it then be your turn to hunt for treasure?" Qin Feng’s voice, sharp and sarcastic, cut through the air.
"Alright then. All the pieces are gathered. Let's take a look!" Sima Mo waved his sleeve and was the first to descend.
However, upon entering what was termed the
Yin Xia declared with a shake of his head, "The mystical formations here are too profound to decipher. However, I can make an educated guess about a few paths. You can attempt them with me, one after another. Naturally, some detours might be necessary."
"Haha, you're willing to take detours? Delaying is better than doing nothing," Ancient Jade Stone chuckled.
"Indeed, let's get out of here. Hmph, no matter what, that little sword-wielding swindler won't be able to obtain the Creation’s Spiritual Body."
"Hm, even enlightened individuals of the Origin Scripture have voiced skepticism about the spiritual embodiment of creation. What standing does the True Essence Mirror hold?"
Sarcasm echoed from the others.
Competing for treasures hinges on might. In the end, one either retreats ignominiously or perishes! Only one victor emerges!
A firm resolve settled upon everyone.
Danger? In this world governed by the rule of the strong, one cannot ascend to such heights without enduring countless perilous trials and experiences.
At the terminus of the magical array, Qin Feng and Lan Yueliang sensed a spatial distortion before materializing in an unfamiliar realm.
"It's breathtakingly beautiful," the blue moon murmured, gazing ahead. A verdant expanse of ancient woods stretched before them, bisected by a clear, winding river that snaked like a dragon across the landscape.
They remained within the Canghong Mountains, their relative location unchanged. Yet, who could have anticipated the wonders concealed beyond the extraordinary array?
"I suspect this individual's power vastly surpasses that of the invincible demons, and their achievements on the Dao of Heaven's Ascent eclipse even those of the greatest demon lords," Qin Feng mused internally.
"Hm?"
Qin Feng's gaze swept across the distant horizon.
Bao Tu considered this primeval forest to be the outermost fringe of the Skyfire Ruins. Even within these ancient woods, various rare opportunities lay scattered. Paramount among these, however, was the Iron Bridge World. He himself had once navigated its trials and, by sheer fortune, acquired the Creation Spirit.
However, to traverse the Iron Bridge World, one must attain the power of the Origin Crystal at a minimum. Furthermore, successfully passing its trials is an endeavor more arduous than scaling the heavens themselves.
Deeper within lies the Mist Sea! It is an environment of extreme peril, a place even the most skilled treasure hunters would hesitate to penetrate.
At the heart of the Mist Sea resides a dazzling, magnificent Divine Mansion, visible from afar even without venturing into the mist.
"Jian Yi, where are we headed now?" Lan Yue inquired, turning to Qin Feng. Here, she felt adrift, uncertain of their next course of action.
"Within the Iron Bridge World lies the Creation's Spiritual Body. Naturally, that is our destination. Follow closely," Qin Feng instructed.
The pair immediately set off.
Qin Feng refrained from flying. The Skyfire Map bore a solemn warning: traveling on foot was the safer course.
Within the enigmatic ancient forest, Qin Feng and Lan Yue navigated through hills and woodlands. Gentle spiritual undulations permeated the air as they scouted their surroundings.
Their progress was unhurried, their movements marked by extreme caution. In the blink of an eye, a full day had elapsed. The journey thus far had been eerily tranquil; they had encountered neither peculiar beasts nor any apparent danger.
"Jian Yi, how much farther until we reach the Iron Bridge World?" Lan Yueliang could not suppress her curiosity.
"At this rate, we'll likely need another day of travel," Qin Feng estimated.
"I believe there's no danger in this area. Why don't we fly? It's far too slow this way."
"Prudence dictates caution; no need to rush," Qin Feng demurred, lightly touching his nose.
The mortality rate within such ruins is notoriously high, a hard-learned lesson from countless past expeditions. According to the treasure map, formidable beasts are rare within the Skyfire Ruins, but any encountered invariably surpasses the Yuan Dynasty's limits, making them almost certainly lethal. Hence, flying is ill-advised; the elevated vantage point offers little concealment. Stealthily traversing the forest floor is significantly safer.
Moreover, the terrain of mountains and forests frequently conceals hidden opportunities, chances that must be seized.
The majority of their time was spent en route, with occasional pauses for rest and sustenance. This was primarily due to Lan Yue's delicate constitution, which struggled to keep pace with Qin Feng's robust physique.
"Hm?"
"What is this?"
