A group of adventurers agrees to Qin Feng's deal for a commission, but Xie Xuan of the West Gate Shao Sect arrives and challenges Qin Feng. Despite the adventurers' fear, Qin Feng accepts the fight. Xie Xuan uses his powerful "Thunderstorm Dance" technique, shattering Qin Feng's weapon. However, Qin Feng, freed from his weapon, prepares to fight barehanded.

Witnessing Qin Feng’s serene smile, Xie Xuan’s own grin faltered and vanished, replaced by mounting fury. With an immediate, forceful thrust, he drove his sword towards Qin Feng’s head, intending to extinguish his life.

"No coffin, no tears!"

"A blank stare!"

As Qin Feng lifted his face, a brilliant smile graced his lips. He downed a drink, planted his feet firmly, and a surge of Qi erupted. Almost instantly, Xie Xuan found himself beside Qin Feng.

From the sidelines, the assembled crowd let out a cheer upon observing Qin Feng’s unexpected maneuver. It was clear that many were perplexed, questioning why Qin Feng would resort to such measures, yet his speed had dramatically increased.

Suddenly, Qin Feng, having deceived Xie Xuan, displayed a flicker of surprise. He seized the sword's hilt and yanked, the blade lodging itself at his waist. He spun like a windmill, a gleam flashing with each rotation. With nimble steps, he danced and weaved.

His toes barely seemed to touch the ground as he tapped Xie Xuan's shoulder. Then, unexpectedly, Qin Feng’s body retreated once more.

In that same instant, Xie Xuan felt an overwhelming force on his shoulder, sending him tumbling to the ground. It was as if a windmill’s blades had been unleashed, tearing through the air in a completely unorthodox assault.

The mysterious depth of this technique far surpassed any Holy Order cultivation method. Qin Feng’s movements were equally bizarre. He looked down at Xie Xuan, who was nearly sprawled on the ground, a smile finally creasing the corners of his mouth. He pushed off the ground again with a resounding bang, his figure flashing in front of Xie Xuan.

"Young Master Xie, why are you not as sharp as before?" Qin Feng sneered, their gazes meeting at close range. Xie Xuan’s pupils contracted sharply. His palm clenched into a fist, and his body executed a swift mid-air rotation, lunging strangely towards Qin Feng.

His fist aimed directly at Xie Xuan. After a moment of hesitation, Qin Feng’s punch came with incredible force, threatening to shatter Xie Xuan’s sternum.

Sensing the terrifying power behind Qin Feng’s fist, Xie Xuan’s expression shifted dramatically, a trace of seriousness quickly appearing in his eyes. His own right fist moved to meet the assault, suddenly bringing down a heavy hammer blow.

As Xie Xuan punched, a dazzling circle of silver light radiated from his body.

High above the battlefield, Qin Feng also noted the defensive capabilities of the Silver Shield. However, his punching momentum did not waver. In an instant, his fist slammed directly into the small Silver Shield.

"Boom!"

With a deafening noise, observers could clearly see concentric rings of invisible energy emanate from their clash, spreading outwards for over ten meters before slowly dissipating.

Within the arena, Qin Feng and Xie Xuan’s bodies momentarily froze. Spectators witnessed the point of impact between the fist technique and the Silver Shield, alive with vibrating ripples.

These ripples spread rapidly, then gradually ceased. Both fighters’ bodies jolted as if struck by electricity.

"Heh, heh, I knew it. Once a young master employs a high-tier skill like the Silver Ridge Shield, this brat won't be able to harm him at all," the members of the West Buddha Sect jeered upon witnessing this outcome.

In this world, most individuals could only dream of such prowess. Especially those in the Nascent Soul stage, who considered possessing a Middle-tier Skill incredibly fortunate. Yet, Xie Xuan boasted two superior traits: offense and defense, making him truly outstanding among his peers!

However, as the laughter reached its peak, Xie Xuan’s face suddenly turned a deep shade of crimson.

"Bang!"

A muffled thud suddenly echoed from Xie Xuan’s body. As this low sound reverberated, Xie Xuan not only convulsed violently several times, but his face also turned ashen, as if struck by a devastating blow.

Xie Xuan stumbled backward, each step leaving deep imprints in the ground.

After retreating nearly twenty paces, Xie Xuan finally managed to steady himself, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

Yet, the blood barely escaped his lips before a figure flashed before him. A broad, powerful palm appeared, seizing Xie Xuan’s neck and lifting his entire body off the ground.

"Young Master Xie, is this how you are?" Qin Feng asked with a contemptuous smile, having captured Xie Xuan alive.

It was difficult to fathom that the formidable Xie Xuan, considered the strongest within his adventurer team, would be so decisively defeated by a young man under twenty.

Especially the battle-hardened adventurers, who operated without any sense of fair play. Their reluctance to intervene stemmed from their confidence in Xie Xuan’s ability to easily vanquish Qin Feng. Had they foreseen this outcome, they would have attacked in unison much earlier.

Witnessing Qin Feng, whose life he had long since deemed forfeit, Xie Xuan experienced a profound shock on the battlefield, only gradually regaining his composure. He harbored no doubt that should he dare to resist for even a minute longer, this opponent would show no mercy.

After several moments of indecision, Xie Xuan finally relented. "I was mistaken earlier. I offer my apologies to you. However, the outcome of our conflict has been decided. Might you permit me to depart?"

Qin Feng erupted into laughter upon hearing this.

"You sought my demise, and I have emerged victorious. Therefore, I am expected to release you? Young Master Xie, do you truly believe such favorable circumstances exist in this world?"

Qin Feng mused that if he had been the one defeated, the conclusion might not have been nearly as favorable for himself.

Xie Xuan displayed no trace of embarrassment at Qin Feng's retort. Instead, he countered, "You have lost nothing of consequence. We were traversing the Kanhong Mountains, yet prior to being in your service, you would surely have slain us for the transgression of disrespecting Lan Yueliang."

"Ah, I recall that you were not exactly volunteering for my service," Qin Feng remarked with a sneer.

"I believe that is accurate. Henceforth, the members of the Xiwen Sect shall heed your commands, and we shall demand no remuneration," Xie Xuan clarified.

"Hmph."

Qin Feng emitted a cold snort, holding little regard for such 'life-and-death garbage.' If their pledge could facilitate the powerful experts of the Xiwen Sect in their search for 'Fatty' and 'Tiantian,' then perhaps he might entertain the notion.

"Brother Jian Yi, you and Young Master Xie Shao stand as the strongest among us. The Canghong Mountain range is fraught with peril. Now that Young Master Xie Shao has offered his apologies to you, I believe a degree of amity could exist between us," Lan Yueliang interjected softly, her voice melodious and remarkably pleasing.

His gaze inadvertently swept over Lan Yue's captivating form and countenance. Inwardly, he pitied anyone who would dare to provoke such a situation. Qin Feng then touched his nose and stated, "If all of you are of this opinion, then my refusal to release this young subordinate would indeed appear rather petty, as if I disregarded the broader context."

With that declaration, Qin Feng gestured dismissively, and Xie Xuan was propelled outward as if he were a mere discarded canine.

Xie Xuan executed two consecutive rotations in mid-air before finally regaining his footing. However, this maneuver was accompanied by a significant exertion.

"Mind your gates!"

Upon witnessing this, the disciples guarding the West Gate promptly formed a defensive perimeter. They found it scarcely believable that someone possessing Xie Xuan's three-layer Zhenyuan power could execute such aerial acrobatics and still land steadily, let alone appear so utterly disheveled!

Yet, before Xie Xuan could utter a word, his face suddenly contorted, blood appearing and surging forth once more, leaving his complexion alarmingly pale.

"What a devastating strike. Had I not exerted my utmost to shield myself, a significant portion of my life force would likely have been extinguished!" His voice, laced with resentment, grated from between his teeth. Xie Xuan slightly tilted his head, fixing his gaze upon Qin Feng with a mixture of dread and animosity, as if the entire ordeal were mere happenstance.

Hearing Xie Xuan's pained admission, those observing turned their eyes toward Qin Feng, their astonishment and surprise escalating anew.

The Silver Ridge Shield was renowned as a high-tier defensive technique. Yet, even after deploying it, Xie Xuan had evidently sustained severe internal injuries. How truly formidable must this young man's offensive capabilities be?

In a mere span of minutes, the perception of Qin Feng's power within the onlookers' minds had repeatedly ascended. And he was but a youth not yet twenty years of age!

"Esteemed Young Sect Master, within Canghong City, our West Buddha Sect has never experienced such a setback. Might we propose an alternative arrangement?" inquired a cross-eyed individual, conducting a rather dramatic survey of the situation.
