Isaac and Neila fight against attacking dragons. Neila devises a trap, ensnaring and defeating one dragon, but is forced to retreat from another. Meanwhile, Godfrey and Solstice arrive at the ruins of the Order, contemplating how to utilize demigod cores. Godfrey decides to promote Mountain to general, hoping the cores will unlock his potential.

Godfrey took a seat and brought forth four diamond-shaped cores. His eyelids drooped, compelling him to shake his head. This exhaustion, he didn't desire it, yet no matter how he moved his head, it persisted. It felt as if the instant he shut his eyes, he would succumb to sleep.

His eyelids wished only to close. After rubbing his eyes, Godfrey cast his gaze upon the trees obscured by the fog below. The terrain was uneven, with some areas dipping even lower, but the sheer expanse of this locale was awe-inspiring.

Certain walls had subsided yet remained standing, while others had collapsed and were undetectable by Godfrey, hidden beneath the mist. The further his sight extended, the denser the fog became, yet the majority of the structures in that vicinity appeared to be intact.

That might very well be the main castle, the very heart of this order.

Godfrey closed his eyes, and his soul materialized within his soul space, precisely in his throne room. He settled onto the elevated throne, leaning back.

"Mountain." His voice reverberated, and a diagram illuminated. Mountain emerged, then dropped to one knee, his shield presented before him.

He tossed one core toward Mountain. It permeated the knight, but he remained unmoved. There was no discernible change. Godfrey presented him with the second core, which emitted a faint glow, but that luminescence quickly faded.

Exhaling heavily, Godfrey offered the third core. The initial two were acquired from Nathan and Alora; this one originated from Arnold.

As it integrated into Mountain's being, his aura surged. It continued to ascend, pressing against a formidable barrier like an overinflated balloon. At the critical juncture, an eruption occurred, and Mountain's tier began its upward trajectory. It climbed to the Throne Tier, progressed to Saint, and then ascended to Divine.

Godfrey swiftly passed over the final core. This one belonged to Saul. It was the core of a demigod at the peak of their power, and he feared the barrier might reassert itself if he delayed.

Mountain's aura detonated. His armor began to adapt as his physique expanded. Pathans were fundamentally similar to Earth humans in stature. The primary distinction lay in their lifespans; it was the False Heart that facilitated their growth into formidable figures clad in heavy steel.

Following a brief period, the brilliance subsided. A knight stood like a golden effigy, broad-shouldered, adorned with heavy pauldrons, and unmoving. Heavy furs cascaded across his shoulders and down his back. They neither softened his visage nor his demeanor. Instead, they amplified his imposing presence, akin to an ancient beast enveloped in the pelt of another.

His armor was meticulously forged from deep gold, not the ostentatious gleam of polished treasure. Across the central part of his chest plate, diminutive and almost unassuming in contrast to the rest of the armor, were inscribed the words: Defender of the Young.

The inscription bore the marks of time's passage, yet it was meticulously preserved.

A white cloak flowed behind him, ever so slightly shifting, while leather bindings and iron clasps secured chainmail and steel plates across his sturdy frame. Small golden crystals dangled from cords resting upon the beast fur and shoulders, emitting a faint luminescence like captured sunlight.

His helmet was the most captivating element of his being.

It completely concealed his face beneath golden steel, leaving only a narrow shadow where his eyes resided. Ascending from the sides of the helm were two elongated horns that curved upwards and slightly forward, irregular like the horns of a wild mountain creature. They possessed an appearance far from decorative; they seemed weathered and authentic, as if extracted from some long-slain beast and affixed to the helm as a testament to conquest.

Resting upon his shoulder was an immense hammer-axe mounted on a lengthy golden haft. The weapon exhibited the heft and form of an executioner's instrument. One side featured a broad axe blade, curved and sharpened to the point of cleaving armor, and a heavy hammer head engineered to pulverize bone and steel with equal efficacy. Even at rest, the polearm appeared so weighty that few individuals could wield it with proper control.

Yet, Mountain bore it with a single hand.

There was minimal arrogance in his stance. No theatrical gestures. Only the serene composure of an individual who had dedicated years to standing as a bulwark between the horrors emerging from dungeon gates and the innocent civilians requiring protection.

"You have returned." Godfrey's lips curved into a smile, his weary mind momentarily forgotten as he beheld this gallant knight, whose shield now resembled a portal etched with subtle runes.

He could find refuge behind Mountain's shield, and no one would ever suspect his presence. Mountain, his premier knight, had now attained the stature of a fifteen-foot-tall general.

After perusing Dax's monolith, he ascertained that Dax was his sole Primal type summon. His status was not that of a hybrid because no beast resided within him, but owing to the tome, he was in no way inferior to any other.

He was indeed a mage, yet his Symbiosis level remained exceptionally low at 7%. This brought a sigh of relief to Godfrey, who had feared it might plummet to 5%.

This was one of the principal factors influencing his decision to prioritize Mountain's restoration. Summon: Knight General Of The Golden Order Type: Hybrid Tier: 36.0

Potential: Unknown

Godfrey let out a soft chuckle. "It seems those four cores weren't expended in vain... The gamble certainly paid off."

Mountain lowered his head, his grip on his weapons growing even more intense. Godfrey's eyes snapped open, yanking him back to reality. Behind him, golden portals flared, unleashing all nine of his knights.

With Mountain now an ally, his own might, once this Ruination concluded, would transcend the Monarch Tier. He might even reach the pinnacle of the Sovereign Tier, merely a breath away from the Godking Tier.

"After this is all settled, I'm taking down Cain. I can't imagine a more perfect moment," Godfrey murmured as the Immortal Armor encased him.

'What do you anticipate we'll encounter there?' the armor inquired.

"No matter what it is, I am prepared." Godfrey leaped down, disappearing into the swirling mist alongside his cadre of knights.
