Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights Chapter 399 Mage Knight

The subsequent day found Godfrey positioned once more at the T junction. This time, he was the sole survivor of team yellow, while team black still fielded three combatants.
All three adversaries fixed their gazes upon him, an unyielding determination etched on their faces, clearly indicating they had no intention of holding back. Their primary objective was, without question, his demise.
Without a single utterance, Godfrey proceeded to the designated chamber for his team and took a seat upon the bench. It was then that he observed Arnold approaching. A slight furrow appeared on Godfrey's brow.
Arnold entered the room and placed an envelope upon the bench. "From our Captain," he announced with a smirk, relishing the word 'our' and taking evident pleasure in seeing the effect it had on Godfrey when referring to Saul.
Godfrey calmly retrieved the envelope as Arnold departed. He opened it with a nonchalant raise of his eyebrow, but the instant his eyes scanned the contents of the letter, all warmth vanished from his expression.
"Lose in the most humiliating fashion possible, or I will personally ensure your mother's death one way or another." Godfrey barely whispered the words.
"I comprehend."
With an abrupt lurch, the chamber began its ascent.
As a deep, rumbling sound permeated the air, Godfrey's thoughts turned inward.
'It's a bluff. Even Saul recognizes my mother's significant value. Unless... he's prepared to confront the entirety of Paradise or flee the scene, then...' A gleam appeared in his eyes.
'Saul, my initial intent was merely to claim my knights. Now, however, I shall eliminate you and all who stand prepared to perish alongside you. And I have already identified them.'
With a resounding boom, the chamber reached its apex. There was no eruption of cheers, only a profound silence. Yet, the crowd present far surpassed double the number of spectators from the previous day.
Not a soul stirred. Word of the previous day's events had disseminated through Paradise with astonishing speed, much like wildfire. Many were aware of Godfrey's existence, though at that time, he hadn't garnered even a fraction of the popularity of Arian.
The command he had issued the day prior remained vividly imprinted in the minds of those in attendance. This was not a warrior for whom they would offer cheers; he was a figure to be deeply feared.
"And we have returned! Godfrey, the sole remaining contestant for team yellow, will face Arnold of team black. However!"
All eyes turned towards the announcer, who raised one arm high. Then, with a slow descent, the arm stopped, its finger pointing directly at Godfrey, who remained seated behind the now-closed portcullis.
"We cannot permit an individual capable of summoning up to seven major entities, each potentially unleashing thousands more into the arena, without imposing specific restrictions. Such an unchecked ability would not only extinguish any sense of excitement but would also constitute profound unfairness to his opponents."
The collective gasp of the multitude was palpable. The previously tranquil coliseum was suddenly filled with exclamations of utter disbelief.
"Seven summons?! Is this some kind of jest?!"
"Thousands... of summons?"
"That's utterly preposterous!"
The announcer paused, allowing the murmurs to subside before raising his hand once more. "You, Godfrey Daniels, are hereby prohibited from actively participating in any combat. A symbiosis with mere two summons already presents a significant threat; seven cannot be countenanced. Only your summons will engage in the battle, and you shall be permitted to summon only one... considering you are but a single individual."
Godfrey's brow furrowed.
While some observers deemed these restrictions to be reasonable, a considerable portion felt they were excessively harsh, particularly the limitation of a single summon.
Perceiving the growing unrest, the announcer cleared his throat. "If he is pitted against two summons, he shall be permitted to summon two!"
This clarification effectively quelled the brewing dissent.
"Let the match commence," the announcer declared, and the portcullises for both teams retracted with a grinding sound.
Arnold stepped forward, conjuring forth his Blood Omen. The creature slammed its trident against the ground, taking a measured step forward.
It then dissolved into an ink-like mist, enveloping Arnold's body. His stature increased, a robust chest plate materialized over him, and his fingers elongated. A dark, hooded cloak concealed his face, leaving only his lips and chin visible.
Firmly grasping the blood trident, which he had meticulously filled with sufficient blood the previous night, Arnold directed its point towards Godfrey, who remained seated within his portcullis.
"Unleash your summon," Arnold's voice boomed, echoing across the arena. He surmised that Godfrey would likely deploy the summon capable of transforming into a sun dragon.
Consequently, he felt compelled to activate his most formidable ability to bring this engagement to a swift conclusion. Blood began to trickle from the sharp points of the trident, ascended towards the highest point of the barrier, and coalesced.
As more blood merged, it gradually formed a colossal blood moon, which inexplicably seemed to push back the sun's rays, casting an ominous, scarlet glow over the entire colosseum.
At that precise moment, a golden luminescence appeared. Many in the crowd held their breath, anticipating the identity of the summon Godfrey would unveil.
Both Alora and Nathan observed the unfolding scene with intense focus. Saul, leaning forward, intertwined his fingers, his gaze fixed upon the golden portal, eager to witness which of the Golden Order Knights would emerge.
He had already conferred with Arnold regarding these knights, and together, they had formulated their strategy. With the presence of the blood moon, his chances of victory were exceptionally high.
A slender figure materialized from the portal, and a knight emerged, adorned in sleek armor. His chest plate featured an inverted half-bow curve at the top, designed to safeguard his neck. In his grasp, he held a tome. The instant Dax stepped forth, the colosseum's hushed atmosphere shattered like glass. Saul leaped to his feet, utterly beside himself. "I surmised you would be astonished," a voice declared, and Saul noticed a distortion in the space adjacent to him. He quivered, his fury manifesting physically upon his person. Arnold's gaze tightened considerably before shifting to his Captain. Perceiving his Captain's demeanor, Arnold gripped his trident with both hands. "This shall conclude swiftly." At that precise moment, Dax unleashed Jin. The colossal beast, covered in white fur and possessing a mane of red hair, advanced, poised to charge at Arnold. However, just as it moved, its two arms, which were wielding an enormous hammer, spun with tremendous power. As if an external force seized control, overriding Jin's bodily motions, the hammer hurtled directly towards Dax's head. The mage knight was caught completely off guard by this sudden assault. In less time than it takes to blink, the hammer was mere inches from the mage knight's face. It was an incredibly swift and precise maneuver, one that promised a swift victory and the opponent's immediate demise.
