Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights Chapter 393 Covered In Blood

"Most experienced, you say? I'd be eager to witness how that experience aids you in this predicament. Perhaps a surprise awaits," Alora quipped, crossing her arms as a portal materialized before her.
Her Female Insect Knight emerged, assuming a defensive posture with a greatsword of gleaming white, its point aimed at adversaries approximately seventy meters distant.
'Hold back a little, Lora. Let's observe their capabilities first,' Alora communicated telepathically, her summon acknowledging with a subtle nod. Its compound black eyes, the sole visible feature through its white mask, fixated on both Arden and Oliver.
Alora noted Arden summoning her magnificent harpy, which rapidly ascended into the sky, before turning her gaze to Nathan.
"Who will you be confronting?"
Nathan offered no verbal response. Instead, he merged with his fifteen-foot-tall, powerfully built panda and, with a roar that seemed to vibrate the very air, charged on all fours directly at Oliver.
"It appears you've made your decision. Now, the bespectacled lady should be aware of the approximately two hundred meter barrier. So then..." Alora hummed thoughtfully.
"Should I inform her that aerial combat is my summon's specialty, or perhaps allow her to entertain her illusions?"
As Alora mused, a gleam flickered within the shadowy depths of Nathan's summon.
He perceived through its vision, focusing on Oliver, who had just unleashed a dark sigil from which an eight-foot-tall Saint Tier humanoid materialized. This being was a grotesque fusion of the living and the skeletal, possessing four arms; one wielded a spear, another a scythe-like blade, while the upper two grasped swords. A shadowy hood concealed its upper visage, revealing glimpses of a skull, and its black leather armor billowed with an aura of dark mist.
A ring of black mist erupted outwards as this entity, which Oliver had designated Nightmare, surged forward, rapidly closing the gap between itself and the panda.
Just as the two combatants were poised to collide, Arden merged with her harpy. With a powerful downbeat of its wings, a gale of immense force, visibly distorting the air, slammed into the panda's face. Yet, this blast, capable of leveling structures, served merely as a minor inconvenience.
The panda lashed out with its claws, narrowly missing the unseen Nightmare due to the obscured vision. Nightmare reappeared from an unexpected angle and thrust its spear towards the panda's left eye, but the spear tip merely deflected off the tough hide. The disparity in cultivation tiers, a difference of four levels, rendered his mana insufficient to pierce such defenses.
'Don't let it escape!' Nathan commanded from within his mount. The panda lunged again at Nightmare, but the summon had anticipated this maneuver and slid beneath the colossal creature. It then drove its swords into the panda's abdomen; while unable to penetrate, the blows inflicted a dull, negligible pain.
The panda scraped its claws against the ground, forcefully rotating itself before launching its full weight at Nightmare. Oliver utilized an exchange technique and ducked as the panda's claws swept harmlessly over his head. At that moment, Arden's harpy descended, raking its talons across the panda. However, the panda's speed abruptly intensified, allowing it to ensnare the harpy.
'Gotcha.' Nathan's eyes lit up with triumph as he tightened his grip on the harpy's wing and violently slammed its entire form against the ground.
A thunderous impact resounded, causing the spectators to tremble.
With a savage grin, the panda turned its attention to Nightmare's spear. This time, it shattered the weapon with a swift blow before colliding directly with Nightmare. In the ensuing moment, an explosion of force sent Nightmare crashing against the far wall of the arena.
Alora's gaze flickered from Nightmare to the harpy, which struggled valiantly with powerful gusts of wind, yet continued to be unceremoniously swept across the ground like a discarded rag.
"How tedious," Alora declared with a yawn, stretching her arms as the earth vibrated with the repeated impacts of Arden's harpy against the arena floor until it could no longer resist.
Nightmare struggled to its feet, advancing once more to slash at the panda's wrist with all its might. The blow, though inflicted by a Saint Tier summon, felt akin to an ant's bite on a human, eliciting a surge of anger from the panda.
This forced the panda to release Arden, its fury now directed entirely at Oliver's summon. Upon retrieving Nightmare, the panda's enraged focus shifted. Oliver glanced back, his eyes meeting Percival's.
He saw Godfrey looking down.
'Don't look. It's much bett—!'
The panda seized Oliver's head, a comparatively minuscule object within its massive, clawed hand.
"Summon your skeletal construct!" Nathan bellowed from within his mount. His rage infused his summon, which lifted Oliver and slammed him violently against the ground.
The force was carefully controlled to avoid a fatal blow, but after several repeated slams, Oliver was left grievously wounded and bleeding profusely.
Alora tilted her head, a flicker of contemplation in her eyes.
'He prefers enduring such a beating over releasing his summon, which is sturdier. It's honorable, but I understand it stems from his fear of Nathan killing his summon, not him,' Alora mused, observing the colossal panda pummel Oliver, leaving him in a sorry state with multiple fractured bones.
While a portion of the onlookers cheered, a significant number, particularly those from the city, watched in hushed silence.
'I suppose they aren't finding this very amusing.' Alora stretched with a yawn before standing.
She noticed Arden's harpy ascending, stumbling as its wings lay shattered.
The panda pivoted, fixing its gaze upon her. A low growl rumbled from its chest, yet the harpy commenced a slow advance toward the formidable beast.
Alora's brow furrowed as she detected a shift in the harpy's aura. It's an established truth that summons gain strength through combat. Some achieve breakthroughs after extended periods or particularly arduous battles, and fortunately for Arden, it appeared her summon had undergone such a transformation!
However, it was already grievously wounded.
As the harpy drew nearer, the panda initiated a charge. With a powerful leap, its shadow engulfing the harpy, the winged creature executed a swift spin, whirling its broken wings like the blades of a ceiling fan.
A torrent of wind, manifesting as colossal crescent blades, erupted from the harpy, a Paragon Tier being, channeling every ounce of its might into a single, decisive strike.
A year's worth of accumulated mana poured into one devastating move. Upon impact, an unnatural chill permeated the battlefield.
