Valentina reveals herself to Godfrey as the mana tree, his "mother" who orchestrated his birth. She explains the cosmic hierarchy of power and pushes Godfrey to exceed all previous levels. Despite his rage and revulsion, Godfrey embraces Valentina, acknowledging his mother is still within. Later, his mother informs him that Saul has empowered his summon Dax with a relic, turning it into a demigod. Dax then appears at their door, seeking to speak with Godfrey.

A flash of purple light radiated outwards, creating ripples across a vast grassland that stretched for countless kilometers. The landscape was dotted with monumental boulders, their origins reaching towards the distant mountains on the horizon.

Both men materialized within the tall grass, which reached their waists.

Dax lowered his hoodie, turned away from Godfrey, and stated, "You understand my purpose here."

He continued walking, caressing the grass as he moved.

Godfrey observed the crimson veins spreading across Dax's face, resembling cracks. He recalled that Dax's mask, secured with buckles at his neck and strapped to the back of his head, was intended to suppress his volatile nature, a consequence of an incident involving his mother.

However, it appeared that what Dax sought to contain had now taken control. Godfrey's gaze shifted to the grass beneath Dax, which turned black, scorched, and then crumbled to dust.

"Saul dispatched you. Are you here to assess me or to eliminate me? You possess a relic now, and he places more trust in you than his own Black Knights for this task," Godfrey remarked.

Dax leaped onto a boulder approximately thirty meters away and sat upon it. "You are astute. My orders were to end you."

"That contradicts our prior agreement. Is he concerned I might disrupt his tournament?"

Dax blinked slowly. "No. My master is not prone to fear, but he is unsettled by your influence over the Black Order Knights. They have acted unusually since encountering you. An hour ago, he inquired if they would be willing to kill you, and Abaddon, his formidable right hand, a force of nature himself, only gave his assent after a pause."

Dax opened his hand, and a tome materialized. It resembled a book that had lost most of its pages, with only a few remaining.

"A divided mind is a path to ruin," Dax declared.

Godfrey let out a breath. "You are speaking more than usual. The Dax I know rarely utters a word."

Dax nodded. "Because tonight, only one of us will depart from this place alive. We were once companions; I once shielded your mother from the Fanatics. It is ironic that our paths conclude here. I am a summon, my choices predetermined. You are a summoner; you dictate your own destiny."

He stood up. "You have consistently been the stronger one. I trust you will prevail." A sudden gust of wind swept through the grassland, causing both their hair to flutter.

Jin emerged – a bipedal creature with white fur, a crimson mane, a powerful chest and arms displaying defined abs, and wielding a massive hammer etched with vein-like cracks through which magma flowed.

The sound of Jin's breathing resonated like the roar of a lion echoing within a cavernous mountain.

Godfrey glanced at Dax, his former mentor, the man who had instructed him in taekwondo.

"Before we became the Ignikai, sleep often eluded me. I would rise in the still of the night and walk barefoot outside, feeling the cool mud between my toes. The wind would whisper through the rice fields, making the entire valley undulate like a living ocean."

Dax paused, observing Godfrey's reaction.

"Above it all… hung the purple moons. Two of them. The Mother orbited high and distant, serene and observant. The Daughter lingered closer, just above the sleeping mountain, appearing brighter, almost inquisitive. I often pondered if they watched over us… if they could perceive me." He sighed.

"I would run my fingers through the rice stalks, gently, as if any sudden movement might cause the moment to vanish. In those days, the world felt boundless, beautiful, and ours, until the advent of mana. The mountains, standing like ancient structures, the very ones the Daughter gazed upon nightly, fractured open. Fire erupted, engulfing the sky in darkness. Ash descended like rain, thick enough to suffocate. And the people… the people…"

Dax's breath hitched.

"I witnessed a man I knew, a fellow farmer with whom I had worked just days prior, collapse as flames consumed his very being. When he looked up… his eyes were gone. I termed it a plague. We possessed power, yet we were no longer ourselves. Our mana system had stripped us of our humanity. Some of us resisted, and I was among them."

Dax touched his mask. "We concealed our faces. Bound our skin. Sought refuge from the ash, the air, the very world we once cherished. Yet, rejecting our mana system rendered us feeble… made us targets. And…"

He lowered his hand. "That is all I can recall. That is all I remember…" He sighed with bitterness. "I have passed it on, as the final member of the resistance fighting for true humanity in my world. At least this memory will reside within your mind."

"Dax…"

Before Godfrey could utter another word, the tome flipped open. Upon the very first page, light erupted like embers dancing off the surface, summoning a phantom clad in golden armor, standing over twenty feet tall, with only half of its form visible.

First Page: Gravity Lock!

One of Godfrey's hands was positioned above him, marked by a circumscribed rune, while a similar formation lay beneath his feet.

An evident golden pressure, akin to hurricane winds descending, impacted Godfrey, compelling him to stoop, with the force intensifying relentlessly.

He remained ensnared in that void, the very earth drawing him downwards with every passing moment. Fissures spiderwebbed across the terrain, and every blade of grass, both within and beyond the circle, was pulverized; even the soil couldn't endure the immense pressure.

The Immortal Armour enveloped his form, assembling a longsword within his right grasp.

Grasping the weapon, Godfrey shattered the Gravity Lock with a powerful swing of the longsword.

Jin had already closed the distance. Vast swaths of grass were torn from their roots as he skidded to a halt directly before Godfrey, raising his hammer with a booming cry, and brought it crashing down.

But…

At that precise instant, Godfrey invoked Will Freeze, immobilizing the colossal humanoid figure in its downward swing. Even the airborne blades of grass were rendered motionless.

Dax's pupils dilated in astonishment. This was the most potent Will Freeze he had ever witnessed; it resembled an emperor's decree, compelling even a single blade of grass to yield.

He defied all natural laws within that confined area. It was…

It was truly…
