Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights Chapter 383 Am I In A Loop

Godfrey observed Gabriel, pondering if he had surpassed the Titled God Tier. This was the advantage of being a Favoured One, seemingly the most cherished beings in any world they graced. While many assumed the formidable presence was Gabriel's summon, Godfrey understood it was Gabriel himself, merely unveiling a fraction of his true might.
To the onlookers, the figure before them appeared as an angel, yet this was merely one aspect of his being; his other visages were capable of inspiring profound terror.
After permitting both factions to present their cases, Gabriel inclined his head. "Do you intend to obliterate this city? I doubt that even if one side emerges victorious, any semblance of paradise will remain."
His gaze shifted to Godfrey. "He was in mourning. He has always been a part of the Cohort, Captain Saul."
Saul met Gabriel's stare unflinchingly. "My position is firm. I am no longer his former Captain, and I will eliminate him if he attempts to join this cohort. It's that straightforward."
Godfrey let out a derisive sound. "I appreciate the sentiment. However, I will seize this opportunity; a Demigod's essence is a powerful allure. You must be incandescent with rage. I chose to return on my own terms, not yours."
He slipped his hands into his pockets. "Such excessive pride, Captain Saul, be mindful. This world is vast."
Saul responded with a sneer, his laughter echoing.
"Very well," Gabriel stated. "Godfrey is now officially a member of the cohort and possesses the right to participate in the tournament. Captain Saul's decree remains, and no retribution will be sought should you lose your life or your summons."
Gabriel cast a final glance at Godfrey before rending space and departing. From his solitary tower, he made another decisive move, downing another knight.
Meanwhile, Saul smirked, turning to walk away. He touched the eye patch obscuring one of his eyes, and the smirk began to fade.
As he audibly cracked his neck, Arnold and his two companions swiftly followed. After a moment's hesitation, Arden and Oliver also departed.

Saul could barely believe his fortune. His intent was to intimidate Godfrey into departure, wishing to end him far from the sanctuary of paradise so his mother would remain unaware, but since Godfrey was so resolute in seeking death, his wish would be readily granted.
His true plan was to eliminate him during the impending Ruination. Once the Ruination concluded, Godfrey's strength would become less predictable; currently, with these global restrictions in place, it was simple to set a maximum limit on any individual, rendering them easily foreseen.
In Saul's worldview, anyone not aligned with him constituted a threat. This was his inherent law, the law of the jungle; he saw no utility for such individuals, none whatsoever. There was no necessity for elaborate schemes; his iron will sufficed for all matters.
"Who is that?"
"He's Captain Arian's student. I recall hearing he was more gifted than the Captain was back then, but I believe he's overreaching by challenging Captain Saul. It will be too late to regret it when the moment arrives."
"No doubt about it. I mean, just one of Captain Saul's summons managed to lift the entire Colosseum, and that structure is larger than a football field."
"That's because that represents his most powerful summon."
"It does not! Have you witnessed the capabilities of those Black Knights?"
"That summon is his very first, and indeed his strongest!"
Disregarding the bickering of two men within the dispersing crowd, Percival approached Godfrey.
"Everyone is watching you as if you're guaranteed to lose," he remarked.
"It wouldn't be the first time," Godfrey responded.
Percival placed a hand on Godfrey's right shoulder. "This isn't Manhattan; these individuals acknowledge your prowess and past achievements, but they've witnessed something even more astounding. I, too, felt that same bewilderment."
"Trust my words when I say there is nothing more astonishing than myself." Godfrey sighed as he spotted his mother in the thinning crowd.
He turned back to Percival. "I comprehend your meaning, but if we permit this to continue, Saul will tarnish the memories we cherish of this place. We already have Cain to contend with; we don't need another adversary here."
"Here… Cain is present?!" Percival's eyes widened considerably. Cain was a name that alone could instill a chilling coldness in his gaze.
Godfrey's gaze drifted towards his father, whose expression was notably stern. He had just witnessed his son irrevocably agree to a contract with fatal consequences.
"We should depart," Ronald declared.

Saul strode into the hall, accompanied by the Elites. He halted before the main seat, grasping its edge and tilting his head towards the ceiling.
"You have a designated target. When you encounter Godfrey's summons, ensure their elimination. I trust you will manage those they fail to defeat, Arnold," Saul commanded without turning around.
"No problem." Arnold's Omen was originally an ancient god. Most such deities, after their demise, transformed into Harrowing Omens of the Afterlife, beings far more dreadful than Obsidians.
If the Blood Omen unleashed its full power, it could annihilate a majority of demigods.
"A mere scratch is all it takes to turn his summon into a zombie," Nathan sneered.
Saul turned, his voice carrying a hint of urgency, "Don't lose, then."
His words elicited a nervous grin from Nathan.

Godfrey found himself seated in the living room, facing his parents, while Percival and Lucy occupied his room.
"Why would you do such a thing? Why are you deliberately placing yourself in peril?" Valentina questioned, her gaze fixed on him, filled with anxiety over the danger he had courted.
"You are the one in danger, and it makes me uneasy. Why do you continue to associate with that man?!" Godfrey shot back, his tone sharp.
"He isn't entirely wrong," Ronald added softly, seated beside his wife.
Valentina shot him a furious look. "Aren't you supposed to be on my side? Did you not witness his actions?!"
She abruptly left the room. Arguing with Ronald in Godfrey's presence was something she wished to avoid.
Ronald turned his attention to Godfrey. "Your mother is unhappy with you. Although you are an adult now and make your own decisions, you must understand that someone can be hurt because they care about you."
"Your expression used to resemble hers. What has changed?" Godfrey inquired after a prolonged silence.
"Well, initially, I was displeased. However, on our journey home, I came to realize that you might have had valid reasons and were not initiating a pointless conflict," Ronald explained, his voice calm.
Hearing this, Godfrey lowered his head, then spoke with a slow, deliberate cadence,
"I have much to share with you… Dad. There are numerous things I've learned about, a realm known as Pathan, extraordinary individuals called Chosen Ones, and the underlying cause of all the events transpiring in my life."

As minutes turned into hours, the father and son remained in the living room, with Godfrey gradually revealing his thoughts and feelings, while his mother listened from an unseen vantage point.
Godfrey recounted how Cain sought to manipulate his life, driven by his summon.
He spoke of Pathan, the Alchemists, the order's history and eventual downfall, his role as its potential ruler, and the connection between Apollyon and Abaddon.
The lengthy explanation often touched upon his personal anguish and the motivations behind his pursuit of greatness. Now that Cain believed him to be still under his influence, he would grow progressively stronger until he reached a domain even Cain deemed unreachable.
Godfrey kept his gaze fixed on the floor as he spoke. Arthur's words resonated within his mind. He was correct; pushing everyone away due to his inability to trust had been an immense burden.
Presently, Godfrey felt a sense of liberation. This also signified his complete acceptance of his father, making him another potential vulnerability Cain could exploit to wound him.
He gritted his teeth as the silence stretched on. Unable to endure it any longer, he lifted his head to see Ronald regarding him with a gentle smile.
"I am proud to have a son possessing your calibre. The associated burden is substantial, but if you are the Chosen One, you possess a slight edge over others in fulfilling the task of reviving the order. However… there is something peculiar about this ambition of yours."
Ronald leaned forward, continuing, "You transitioned from assuming the role of the unknown king to becoming the recognized king, and now you aspire to transcend all systems, to become uncontainable. This implies you wish to venture into a realm no one has ever reached – you aim for the unknown."
Godfrey's eyes narrowed slowly as his father articulated this startling realization.
"You became known, yet you are reverting to becoming unknown. To embody the unknown king from the legends crafted by the Alchemists. Does that even make sense?" Ronald questioned, his brow furrowed as he re-evaluated his own statement.
Godfrey, meanwhile, stood frozen.
What?!
He had never considered that his ambition might be leading him back to his origins. He desired to become unknown, for only the unknown could be uncontainable. A being far beyond comprehension, superior to all others – this was precisely how the Alchemists had described the unknown king.
How was this even possible?!
Godfrey frowned deeply. What on earth was transpiring? Could it be that his ultimate goal was to become the very entity depicted in the Alchemists' fabricated tales? It felt as though this made-up narrative was on the verge of materializing into reality.
Godfrey rubbed his forehead. Did this somehow imply that the level he sought, the answer to the mana tree's query, was the unknown itself? No one knew what resided at the pinnacle. If someone were to reach it, would they make it known, or would they become an intrinsic part of the unknown?
Yet, he was known now. What exactly was happening here? Would he revert to being unknown, only to yearn for recognition once more?
"Am I trapped in a cycle?" Godfrey ceased his thoughts and focused on his breathing.
