Zhao Chenlin uses his remaining life force to hold back Sovereign Lanyun, urging Fang Yu to take Chen Xiaolin and escape. Despite Chen Xiaolin's protests, Fang Yu seals his power and insists he must live to carry on Zhao Chenlin's beliefs. As Fang Yu attempts to break through, Chongyuan intercepts them, but a sudden fog signals the arrival of an ancient cargo ship.

"This is..."

Gazing upon the familiar sight of the cargo ship, Fang Yu uttered, "A black market vessel?!"

A wave of shock washed over Fang Yu. He had never anticipated the black market cargo ship would manifest right there, obstructing his path towards Chongyuan.

Aliens attendants stood in respectful attendance on the deck of the black market ship.

Before them rested an extravagant and costly sofa.

Upon it sat a crippled man, his legs severed by another, who held a goblet of red wine, a grin plastered on his face as he observed Chongyuan. This individual was none other than the proprietor of the black market cargo ship, Xu Yuan!

"Boy, you should depart now."

Xu Yuan’s gaze flickered from Chongyuan to a playful smile directed at Fang Yu, then he proclaimed loudly, "We share the same origin in Space Law. I shall create a passage for your escape; you simply need to proceed."

"However, the Lanyun Army awaits beyond that passage. What transpires thereafter rests entirely upon your own capabilities."

"You must evade the Lanyun Army’s pursuit!"

Xu Yuan declared with a chuckle, extending a hand to gesture forward.

Instantly, a broad spatial rift materialized before Fang Yu and his companions.

Upon witnessing this, Fang Yu was filled with elation. Without further ado, he piloted their sea vessel directly into the spatial passage.

As Xu Yuan had indicated, Fang Yu's proficiency in Space Law was imparted by him. The essence of their Space Law powers stemmed from the same source. The moment Fang Yu entered the passage, his Space Law resonated with the portal.

The passage then contorted, swiftly whisking Fang Yu away from their present location.

"Attempting to flee? Remain here!"

Both of Chongyuan’s heads contorted with fury at this sight. He thrust out a hand, which transformed into countless vines and mycelia, poised to ensnare the spatial passage.

But at that precise moment, a low chuckle escaped Xu Yuan. Still holding his wine, he drained the goblet in one swift motion.

With his other hand, he gestured towards Chongyuan once more.

An immediate effect saw the burgeoning vines and mycelia instantly shunted into an anomalous dimension. Even Chongyuan himself was confined at the center by an invisible spatial barrier.

"You court death!"

Chongyuan roared, shocked and incensed. His power surged outwards uncontrollably as he attempted to shatter the spatial confinement and break free.

Yet, Xu Yuan's mastery over Space Law was unparalleled in this world.

Even the esteemed Ocean Court found themselves unable to contend with Xu Yuan.

Though he had not attained the absolute Peak, Xu Yuan's comprehension of Space Law ran deeper than that of many who had reached such pinnacle states.

Chongyuan repeatedly hurled himself against the barrier, yet remained trapped within the minuscule spatial cocoon, completely immobilized.

Stunned and enraged, Chongyuan's gaze shifted back to Xu Yuan.

Upon a closer inspection of Xu Yuan’s severed legs and the distinctive appearance of his sea vessel, Chongyuan softly uttered, "Oh," while a peculiar gleam flickered in his eyes, as if a memory had been rekindled.

"So it was you!"

Chongyuan murmured in a low tone, "But did you not once pledge to that individual that you would forever abstain from worldly conflicts? That person merely severed your legs, they did not end your life."

"And now, amidst this era of turmoil, you find yourself unable to remain quiescent? Do you aspire to emerge and seize a portion for yourself?"

Upon hearing Chongyuan’s words, Xu Yuan let out a chilling laugh, shaking his head. He responded, "Your struggles hold no consequence for me. While all yearn for the Peak, I do not."

"Attaining the Peak signifies the forfeiture of one’s freedom. How could that possibly compare to my current state—carefree and content, with an endless supply of exquisite wine!"

"Since your ambition does not lie in reaching the Peak, then remove yourself from my path. Should you become entangled in this affair, it will serve you no benefit whatsoever!" Chongyuan declared coldly, amplifying his voice.

But Xu Yuan offered no verbal reply. He merely smiled, then gestured for the Alien attendant beside him to pour another glass of wine, before speaking deliberately:

"While I harbor no desire for the Peak, I have never forgotten the profound humiliation of my legs being severed due to that man's treacherous betrayal back then!"

"That man declared that should I ever re-engage in worldly affairs, he would show no quarter and would strike me down on the spot."

"Heh... but how could I, Xu Yuan, be someone who trembles in fear of death? His betrayal and the indignity he inflicted upon me—these are memories I have not allowed to fade, day or night."

"Now, a certain young individual who piques my interest has appeared. Whether I can eventually erase that stain of shame hinges entirely upon this young prodigy."

"When the Peak manifests its descent, my hands are tied. However, if you intend to lay a hand on him, you must first contend with my path of space, should it permit such an action!"

Xu Yuan chuckled, leisurely savoring the wine within his cup.

Observing this turn of events, Chongyuan found himself powerless, as his strengths did not lie in breaching spatial seals.

He could only heave a sigh, reseat himself, close his eyes, and offer no further words.

...

"Captain! We managed to escape alive?"

A peculiar Law fluctuation enveloped the Salted Fish, causing the spatial passage around them to swirl like liquid. This allowed the Salted Fish to traverse it with exceptional speed.

Propelled forward, those aboard soon spotted an expanse of ocean emerging in the distance.

Consulting their charts for confirmation, they identified the approaching sea area as the "Southern Island Sea Region," situated on the border of the Duorong Federation.

This particular sea region was unforgettable for everyone. It was the very location where the war of the Divine Hall had ignited amidst these waters.

As the Southern Island Sea Region came into view, a wave of exhilaration and delight washed over the captains.

It had been an incredibly arduous journey!

Their current day had teetered on the brink of disaster, yet miraculously, they and their crews had been granted the good fortune to witness a Peak Captain in action and even escape alive under such a formidable blockade. This event was surely the stuff of legends, a tale few would credit if shared.

Indeed, among the Blue Star Captains, it was estimated that only a select few had ever laid eyes upon a Peak Captain.
