NTR: Mommy Will Help You! 282. Why Are You Trying So Hard to Make Me Mad?

Rebecca emerged in a stunning blue cocktail dress, catching Oliver's admiring gaze as they prepared to celebrate with Emma in tow. In the parking lot, Oliver playfully dubbed himself her sugar daddy, leaving her blushing and flustered before they drove off in his luxurious sports car. During the ride, Rebecca reflected on her family's past struggles and her deep gratitude toward Oliver for turning her fortunes around, her emotions nearly bringing tears until he urged her to focus on the joy ahead. Arriving at the opulent Grand Royal Restaurant, they were escorted to a lavish private dining room overlooking the city, where classmates Brenda and Sarah warmly welcomed Rebecca, congratulating her graduation and thanking her for past kindnesses.

Meanwhile, Ron sitting beside Sarah felt a surge of anxiety building up inside him.

He'd anticipated some issues ever since Oliver suggested bringing his mother, Maya, along, and now with the two exchanging chilly glances, it was evident that tensions would escalate quickly.

Yet, upon spotting Oliver grasping Emma's hand and pulling her onto his lap, Ron swallowed hard and directed his eyes toward Maya.

'Damn! What will she do now?'

Over on the other side, Brenda caught sight of her mom Linda's concerned face. She rolled her eyes and shook her head in exasperation. 'Who advised you to behave like a jealous girlfriend? See where that got you!'

All those present were immersed in their personal reflections and eager guesses about the unfolding drama.

But Oliver, with Emma comfortably seated on his lap, paid no heed to the surrounding drama, relishing instead the gentle wriggling of her soft rear against him.

Before long, Maya reached her limit and shot Oliver a fierce glare, her voice sharp as she demanded, "What's the meaning of this!? You drag me here and then act like I don't exist!? Do I mean nothing to you!?"

Linda, positioned right beside Maya, wore a frown of disapproval too. "See how folks transform once they've got multiple women... Suddenly, we're treated like we're irrelevant."

Rebecca remained somewhat puzzled by the situation, but the room fell into a hush following Maya and Linda's outburst.

Every person there, her included, fixed their attention on Oliver, curious about his response.

Oliver sipped some water, set the glass aside, and addressed Maya in a relaxed voice while meeting her eyes. "Hmm, have I changed? Perhaps... but that doesn't justify someone who's already in a relationship heading out for drinks and parties nightly, does it?"

Next, he shifted his gaze to Linda and continued in the same laid-back manner, "It applies equally to a lady attempting to portray me as the betrayer simply because I haven't showered her with enough focus."

Having said that, Oliver drew Emma nearer with an arm around her, encouraging her to nestle against him. "Understand, I prefer women free of jealousy, those who manage their own affairs without freaking out over matters they're clueless about."

"So, enlighten me, my dear teacher, will you prove to be such a woman, or merely another tiresome source of theatrics?" He tacked on playfully, even though his tone betrayed underlying seriousness.

Emma offered a smile, leaning her head his way until her lips grazed his neck. "Naturally, I'm not like those foolish women who rage over trivial matters... provided you hold me close like this or keep the cash flowing, you can overlook me and toy with me as you please..."

Amused by Emma's reply, Oliver let out a chuckle, lifting his hand to sweep her hair back before teasing her ear with a lick and murmuring, "Indeed, you strike me as the ideal type of companion... not like certain others who paint me as the bad guy."

Maya and Linda stood stunned, reeling from Oliver's offhand dismissal of them.

Since their last encounter, Maya had anticipated an apology and efforts to win her favor, yet the reality proved utterly reversed.

She found herself at a loss for words or actions right then.

Linda appeared equally caught off guard, as Oliver now devoted all his attention to the stunning teacher, ignoring her completely.

Their faces drained of color as Maya and Linda exchanged helpless glances, silently urging the other to intervene.

Unfortunately, both were too shocked to utter a word, frozen in silence.

In time, tears welled in their eyes, and their chins trembled as they fought back sobs.

Oliver, naturally, didn't miss this display.

Observing the pair of gorgeous women teetering on the edge of tears, he sighed and released his hold on Emma.

He rose from his seat and strode toward them with assured strides.

Positioning himself directly before the duo, he rested a hand on Maya's cheek, stroking it softly.

The instant Oliver's palm met her skin, Maya shut her eyes, savoring the comforting warmth and gentleness.

Linda experienced a sharp intake of breath as Oliver's free hand lifted her chin, guiding her gaze to meet his.

"You both... why push my buttons so fiercely? Isn't it plain I wasn't deliberately ignoring you? But you responded that way... Truth be told, a simple hug and request for sorry upon my arrival would've kept me from those remarks... Yet you chose to complicate it. Now here you are, on the brink of tears... Honestly!"

With those words, Oliver drew the women in tight, draping an arm over each shoulder.

"Rather than complicating things for me and yourselves, why not just express your emotions openly? Isn't that far easier?"

Listening to Oliver, Maya and Linda's faces flushed hot.

They recognized his logic, admitting their own missteps had led to this mess.

A warm welcome without the attitude would've sufficed, but their initial anger prompted the cold front... sparking his counter.

"I- I'm... sorry." Maya whispered shyly, averting her eyes in lingering shame.

Linda shared the sentiment but mustered the courage to face him. "Same here, Oliver. We messed up... we're sorry."

"Hmm..." Oliver's grin broadened as he tugged them nearer still, their bosoms pressing into his chest. "Now that's more like it."

He planted kisses on Maya's and Linda's cheeks in turn, then murmured tenderly, "And yes, I regret my words and for going radio silent on you both. But it wasn't on purpose, okay? Things just slipped... Let's put it behind us now. The night's still primed for enjoyment!"

"Yes..." They chorused, enveloping Oliver in strong embraces, each planting a kiss on his cheek before adding affectionately, "Thank you."
