Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven Chapter 625: Registering At The Central Hub and An Already Existing Name

Alan’s expression shifted slightly at Grey’s question.
"No." He said with a hint of thoughtfulness. "The Primordial Evolutionary Paths are of great importance. They would never be made available in a place like the Central Hub."
"That makes sense." Grey nodded slowly.
He thought about it more carefully. If the Primordial Evolutionary Paths were available here, then the vast majority of beings in the 12th plane would follow them. Everyone would seek out the most powerful paths available.
The fact that most didn’t meant those paths were restricted somehow.
Perhaps it guarded by forces beyond the 12th plane itself.
"So why exactly are we registering our universe here?" He asked. "What’s the benefit? The Origin Will did brief me about it. But hearing from you might make things better."
Alan thought for a moment before replying.
"It’s mainly for Protection. Master." He answered. "The Central Hub offers security guarantees for newly ascended universes. For example, the Eternal Dominion attacked you today without consequence."
"If our universe was registered, that attack against us would have violated Central Hub laws." Alan continued. "Basically, they grant a set period of protection for new universes that recently ascended to the 12th plane and that is completely free of charge. But after the "set period" ends, we will have to start paying them or else it won’t be long before our universe gets assimilated into a bigger power."
"Most Origin Wills Or Universe Leaders don’t realize the Central Hub exists until much later. The major factions of the 12th plane use this gap to contact newly ascended universes and conquer them."
Grey understood the situation more clearly now.
"Alright then." He said. "Let’s go register our universe. Where are we supposed to go to do that again?"
"The Universe Management Bureau in the Central Hub handles all registrations." Alan said. "I will take us there first."
The Reality Ship soon docked at one of the massive ports, its hull settling into place with a soft hum.
Grey, Alissa, and Alan left the ship together, stepping onto the glowing pathways of the Central Hub.
The scale of this place was overwhelming up close.
Buildings towered above them, their architecture blending countless styles into something unique.
Beings of every race walked past them.
He even saw a blob of energy at 9th rank. If he wasn’t wrong, that was the legendary Spirit Race.
He looked forward to meeting them one day.
Alan led them through the winding pathways with confident steps.
They passed markets selling strange chaos artifacts, technique shops, and guild halls recruiting members. The Central Hub was a civilization unto itself.
Except that not just anyone could enter this place.
Eventually, they arrived at a massive building that looked like a modern skyscraper with an ancient feel to it. It looked modern but also ancient at the same time.
This was the Universe Management Bureau.
Its entrance stood fifty meters tall, with golden letters carved above the doorway. Guards in silver armor stood near the entrance, their auras radiating 11th rank power.
They didn’t stop Grey’s group from entering.
Inside, the bureau looked surprisingly mundane. Rows of counters stretched across the main hall, with receptionists attending to visitors. Waiting areas filled with chairs lined the walls.
It reminded Grey of a government office back on Earth.
The 12th plane of existence was massive, containing countless universes.
But the new registration queue was surprisingly short.
Only one person stood ahead of them.
Grey waited patiently as that person finished their business. Within minutes, it was their turn.
A female receptionist with pale blue skin and four eyes gestured them forward.
"Welcome to the Universe Management Bureau." She said professionally. "How may I assist you today?"
"We’re here to register a newly ascended universe." Grey replied.
The receptionist nodded and pulled out a crystalline tablet.
"I’ll need some basic information." She said. "Time since ascension?"
"Less than one week." Grey Answered.
The receptionist’s fingers moved across the tablet, inputting the data.
"Origin Will status?"
"Awakened and stable."
"Current population?"
Grey considered the number for a moment.
"Approximately 300 trillion sentient beings." He said.
The receptionist didn’t react to the number. She had probably heard larger figures before.
"And finally." She looked up at Grey. "What is the name of your universe? We need an official name to record in our data base. But, the name cannot be something that is already within the database."
Grey thought about it carefully.
Until now, they had always called it the main world. But now that he controlled it completely, the name deserved to change.
Something that represented what it had become.
"Nexus Universe." Grey said with a satisfied nod.
The receptionist typed the name into her tablet.
Then she frowned.
"I’m sorry." She said. "That name is not available."
Grey’s eyes darkened immediately.
"Who owns that name?" He asked with twitching lips.
"It belongs to a universe you cannot afford to provoke." She said. "There are multiple experts at the peak of the 12th rank residing there. Many of them are preparing to ascend to the Higher Realms."
Grey’s eyes flickered hearing this.
He was the owner of Nexus Energy, the supreme power of absolute perfection. Having someone else claim the official Nexus name felt like a personal insult.
But he couldn’t do anything about it right now.
His current strength wasn’t enough to challenge a universe full of peak 12th rank experts. He would need to grow stronger first.
Then he would find that universe.
And take what rightfully belonged to him.
"For now." Grey said with a sigh. "Just name it Unnamed Universe. I’ll come back to rename it later."
The receptionist stared at him with a strange expression.
"Are you certain?" She asked. "That’s quite an unusual choice."
"I’m certain." Grey nodded.
The receptionist shrugged and typed in the new name.
"Checking availability..." She muttered. "Surprisingly, there’s a slot available for Unnamed Universe. It seems no one else wanted that particular designation."
Grey wasn’t surprised.
Who would willingly name their universe Unnamed?
"Registration complete." The receptionist handed him a small crystal badge. "This serves as proof of ownership. Your universe now falls under Central Hub protection for the next ten thousand years."
