Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven Chapter 581: Joestar’s help, Looking around the planet

"This power is very similar to the Nirvanic power." Grey had a sudden enlightenment.
Having been enlightened on the Nirvana state himself, he could understand the complex fluctuations well.
"How did the Buddha and the Jade Emperor even know each other?" Grey was genuinely baffled.
Did they conduct a massive cosmic group study session into achieving their respective states or something? That was the only logical thing he could think of right now. The underlying similarities in their foundational states were striking.
But the overall information he had regarding it was vague, hence he was not going to comment on it further.
"What happened, friend?" Joestar asked curiously, noticing his distraction.
"Nothing. I was just rapidly gaining comprehension over your powers."
"Do you also follow the Jade Emperor’s exact path?"
"Not quite," Joestar shook his head. "I only obtained his state-related powers, not his comprehensive evolutionary path."
"Hence, I actively created my own derivation of the immortal path from it," Joestar said. "Well, it cannot strictly be considered a pure immortal path, but it is heavily inspired by it."
"How exactly is it inspired?"
"See for yourself," Joestar said as he effortlessly tossed a small, condensed cloud at Grey. Grey swiftly caught it, and a flood of intricate information began surging directly into his mind.
He began understanding the core of Joestar’s path.
The Genesis Evolutionary Path.
"The Genesis Evolutionary Path. Not bad," Grey could not help but comment appreciatively. "How did you find this Genesis Qi mentioned in the path?"
Genesis Qi was the primary power source used to fuel this specific evolutionary route.
"It was a complete stroke of luck. I found an ancient scripture inside an inheritance ground once. I do not know exactly who it originally belonged to, but its quality is extremely good."
"It is structurally better than the standard spiritual energy."
Grey nodded. He perfectly understood its underlying logic. It behaved like spiritual energy and shared the same fundamental pattern, but its inherent attribute elevated it far above standard energy.
He was quite curious. What exactly made up an attribute? That was something he had never truly understood. He wanted to trace their cosmic origins one day.
But the Genesis Qi was genuinely good. It possessed strengthening effects that could closely rival the Aether Path. Of course, it could only rival it; it could never truly match it.
Genesis essentially meant "Origin."
"Could this be something directly related to the True Source Being?" Grey asked in a curious tone.
"That is what I initially thought too," Joestar said, looking slightly amazed at Grey’s deduction. "This power reminded me of the Ouroboros a lot."
"Hm." Grey was deep in thought. It seemed like they both shared the exact same suspicion.
"Speaking of which, friend. The young girl who came with you. Who exactly is she?" Joestar asked, his tone shifting. "I can distinctly detect the presence of the Ouroboros radiating from her. Is she the literal incarnation of the Ouroboros?"
Grey was taken aback by this blunt question. "No. How can that be?"
How could his cute, often flustered Alissa be the legendary, universe-devouring Ouroboros?
But he had clearly felt that ancient presence lingering within her before, too.
Could it be that she really was connected to the Ouroboros?
"I will go ask her," Grey nodded slowly. "I think."
"Now, with that out of the way. Can we go back to our starting topic?"
The Spatial Aurora. That unsettling presence was still deeply embedded within him, meaning the entity that had casually altered Alissa’s memories was still silently watching.
"Can you remove it from me?" Grey asked. He wanted to get it removed as soon as possible.
"I can," Joestar nodded confidently. "I successfully removed it from myself as well, so it should be relatively easy to purge it from you."
Grey nodded.
Joestar soon began giving out precise instructions on how to align his energy. Following the burly man’s guidance, Grey focused his Axiom power. In a few short moments, he felt a strange, ethereal force silently detach and leave his body, dissolving into nothingness.
"Do you know who this person is, exactly, Joestar?" Grey could not help but ask.
"I do not know," Joestar shook his head with a sigh. "All I know is that this person is not inherently harmful by any means. When I was once trapped in a life-and-death situation, he had actually come out of nowhere and rescued me."
"It could either be because he genuinely wanted to rescue me out of goodwill, or because he specifically needs me alive to achieve some sort of grand, overarching goal."
"Hm." Grey nodded. He leaned far more toward the latter argument. Who would actually believe that an entity of that caliber genuinely cared for them out of the kindness of their heart?
"But he has not done anything explicitly harmful yet." That was what Joestar and Grey equally thought.
And someone who strictly worked in the shadows, who had not done anything harmful or even slightly revealing yet, was infinitely more dangerous.
"I believe we will see him soon," Joestar said quietly. "It will not be long."
Grey nodded in agreement.
"Then, I think I will head back out for now," Grey suggested.
"Are you going to leave so quickly, friend? Stay for a while. I believe it would be a good idea to look around the place."
"Of course," Grey nodded. "I will look around."
"I will also grant you the highest administrative privilege within Helios."
"Huh?" Grey was taken aback.
What was he supposed to do with that?
But he was not going to say no to a free lunch. He was an Earth transmigrator, meaning he would inevitably have to collaborate with these people for some time anyway.
On his way out, Joestar also briefly explained how their entire system worked.
The Helios organization primarily operated on a strict contribution point system. If you saved an Earth transmigrator, you received contribution points. If you helped others with a task, you also gained points. If you needed help, you had to spend those contribution points to issue public quests. It was an establishment entirely run on mutual contribution, and everyone reaped immense rewards from participating in it. Joestar personally ensured that everyone was treated fairly.
Grey soon found Alissa, who was currently waiting with Misty in the VIP lounge.
He swiftly took Alissa away from the receptionist and went out to sightsee with her.
"Since we are here, we should look around," Grey smiled warmly as he gently took her hand, leading her out.
Alissa did not mind this. A soft blush dusted her cheeks, and a small smile graced her lips as she happily walked alongside Grey.
They spent the next few hours exploring the vibrant cityscape of the Helios headquarters. Whenever Alissa lingered looking at something, Grey would buy it for her. The privilege Joestar had granted him made it easy. She seemed to be genuinely enjoying the simple, uninterrupted time they were spending together.
"Grey. I want that," Alissa suddenly stopped and pointed at a nearby boutique. Displayed in the window was a beautifully woven straw hat.
Grey bought it for her immediately.
"Do you not want any jewelry to go with it?" Grey inquired as he softly placed the straw hat on Alissa’s head.
"No," Alissa shook her head.
"I know you like jewelry," Grey clicked his tongue playfully. "I have seen plenty of pieces when I was in your room."
"Hmph. So you were snooping?" Alissa looked at Grey with a slightly angered look.
"Come on. Let us go get some stuff."
Grey gently tugged her hand, leading her into a nearby jewelry boutique. They spent some time trying out different items. Eventually, Alissa settled on a delicate, silver necklace featuring a small sapphire.
Once they stepped out of the store, Alissa stopped.
"Can you... help me wear it?" Alissa asked, a visibly flustered look overtaking her features.
"Sure," Grey smiled. He stepped behind her, gently brushing her silver hair aside to clasp the chain around her neck.
Alissa used this opportunity. As soon as the clasp clicked, she swiftly turned around, leaned in close, and gave him a sudden kiss.
Not on the cheek, but directly on his lips.
Grey’s eyes widened in surprise.
The moment their lips touched, Alissa panicked. She swiftly tried to pull her face away, but Grey’s hand reached up, softly holding the back of her head, keeping her close.
"What was that?" Grey asked with a teasing smile. "Did you just kiss me?"
"Y-You... let go of me!" Alissa’s face erupted into a bright red. She was completely overcome with embarrassment. She had only done it on an overwhelming impulse because the plaza was empty.
Grey did not let go. Instead, he pulled her into a tight, warm hug.
"I knew you liked me," Grey smiled softly. "But to think my cute Alissa would be this direct."
"I did not expect it at all."
Alissa trembled slightly in his embrace. She slowly looked up at him, her crystal-clear eyes shimmering.
"I-I..." She wanted to say something, but Grey gently placed a finger over her lips.
"You do not need to say anything," Grey said with a soft sigh. "Lia already gave me the green light for this anyway."
Hearing that, Alissa forcefully pulled his hand away.
"Do you also like me?" Alissa asked, her voice trembling slightly. "I like you. I cannot live without you, Grey. I want to be with you until the day I die."
"Do you feel the same way?"
"I want you to shower me with affection." She felt like if she did not lay her heart bare right now, there would never be a better chance.
Grey did not say anything. Instead, he simply leaned down and pressed his lips firmly onto Alissa’s. This time, Alissa did not show any resistance. She let out a soft sigh and melted into his arms, a heavy knot in her heart finally releasing.
Grey slowly parted his lips. "Starting from now on, never leave my side. I want you with me, always."
Alissa stared at Grey, her chest heaving slightly, and quickly kissed him one more time out of lingering embarrassment. Then, she shakily raised a finger, pointing to her left with swirling, dazed eyes.
"D-Do you want to... go there?"
Grey’s vision traced where she was pointing, and his expression immediately became completely dumbfounded.
It was, without a doubt, a hotel.
