Previously on Naruto: Systematic Shinobi...
Alright folks, a bit of a repetition, but this brings us up to speed with everything for this particular tale thus far. This story on here will go quiet for possibly a few months, likely until I’ve managed to write a substantial amount more after one more update. You can, of course, acquire immediate updates on my subscribestar. However, I find it preferable to upload here when I have a significant volume to manage.
And given that a great number of you have requested it, I have proceeded to commence uploading Systematic Shinobi: Multiverse Mayhem here as well. Therefore, do check that out too. It is beneficial to garner a good number of comments, follows, views, and reviews, et cetera, early on for new stories.
Furthermore, I will be actively uploading the Jordinio Version as well. My intention was to upload my main stories sequentially rather than all concurrently, as it genuinely consumes a portion of each day simply to upload them all.
In any case, with that stated, here is the Chapter
____________
A stared momentarily at the fallen body of his former subordinate, then an echoing, almost feral cry erupted from his throat as he once again surged towards Daiki.
With a mocking expression firmly fixed, Daiki retreated, evading the incoming punch and chortling as A completely lost any semblance of control over his immense strength, creating a vast crater with the sheer force of his strike.
Fortunately for Kumo, his inherent speed remained perfectly under his command; otherwise, the situation would have escalated disastrously for them.
"Oops, missed me," Daiki quipped, before leaping upwards and landing atop another building. A slammed into his previous position with such impact that the entire village trembled. "Monkeys truly possess so little mastery over their emotions."
"Cease your evasion and face me, coward!" A bellowed, launching himself skyward towards Daiki.
Adopting the role of the generous individual he occasionally was, Daiki complied, propelling himself off the building with such ferocity that it disintegrated.
He bypassed A’s lunge with blinding speed, too swift for any connection to be made. The Raikage doubled over from a rib-shattering gut punch, then grunted as Daiki followed through with a knee strike to the face that sent him hurtling across the village expanse.
Daiki materialized behind him before any recovery was possible, twisting mid-air into an elbow strike that he drove into the back of A’s head, rocketing him back down towards the earth, his form creating yet another colossal crater upon impact.
Daiki landed at the precipice of the newly formed chasm, gazing down at A as he laboriously pulled himself free from the enveloping debris, glaring intently up at Daiki. "You find yourself unaccustomed to confronting opponents as swift or swifter than yourself, do you not?" Daiki mused aloud. "I suppose that is logical; few could match your velocity in this era. With your ill-fated father deceased, and the Yondaime possessing a speed that utterly overwhelmed you."
He supposed he himself would be in a comparable predicament.
Were it not for the multitude of clones he maintained, dedicating themselves to training and sparring daily, and his acclimatization to combating his own clones capable of matching his speed.
Coupled with the extraordinary, enhanced Sharingan that granted him precognition of A’s movements even before they were initiated, and the simple reality that A’s taijutsu relied on a blunt, forceful approach-
He presented an overwhelmingly unfavorable matchup for A.
He observed as A crouched low, concentrating the lightning chakra surrounding him. "Hoh?" Daiki hummed with burgeoning interest, scrutinizing the manner in which the man manipulated the lightning, meticulously observing the flow and formation of his chakra.
"LARIAT!" A roared, erupting from the crater with unprecedented swiftness, his arm extended, aimed directly at Daiki’s throat.
Yet, he connected only with empty air as Daiki slid beneath the devastating blow, catching himself with a single hand and launching into a powerful upward kick aimed at the underside of A’s arm, forcing his own elbow into his face.
Blood streamed from his nose, but to A’s credit, he did not falter, pressing his assault with brutal intent, launching a direct right hook towards Daiki’s groin.
Daiki executed a swift kip-up, returning to his feet before the strike could land. Subsequently, his forearm rose to deflect a looping left, he weaved past a right, then connected his palm to the following knee strike, transitioning into a handstand mule kick aimed squarely at A’s chin. Simultaneously, he released a rapid, dual-layered shockwave of light and darkness that impacted A’s chest with concussive force, propelling him backward.
The Raikage coughed up blood as the attack pulverized his internal organs. However, he dug his feet into the ground, gouging trenches to maintain his footing and dissipate the immense force-
Before launching himself back towards Daiki in an explosive barrage of blows that possessed the power to obliterate his own village and more, such was the velocity behind the strikes, were it not for the rigorous control honed from a young age by all shinobi.
Daiki let out a hearty laugh. "You're improving in speed!" he genuinely commended, clearly relishing the engagement. "Show me more, monkey boy!"
"This is impossible!" A roared, his rapid flurry of strikes met by Daiki's parries, blocks, and dodges. The two were mere blurs, streaking through the village and leaving destruction in their wake. Daiki could sense the surrounding shinobi and kunoichi, helpless onlookers unable to even comprehend the speed of their battle. Yet, two individuals were rapidly approaching, imminent arrivals. "How can you so easily counter my attacks! Is it those eyes!? They're not Sharingan! Not Byakugan! And certainly no Ketsuryugan either!"
Blood Dragon Eye? A rather formidable name.
Another dōjutsu? And one entirely unfamiliar to him. Intriguing. Before his departure from this place, he was determined to uncover the secrets of this ocular ability.
"That's for me to know," Daiki caught an elbow, leaning forward to smirk directly into A's face. "And for you to-"
He halted his words, tilting his head back just enough to evade a rodent-shaped projectile wreathed in searing blue flames.
"To guess," Daiki finished, delivering a swift kick to A's abdomen and sending him flying backward. He landed moments later, encountering a tall, powerfully built dark-skinned man in sunglasses, and a lithe, elegant, beautiful blonde-haired woman.
Killer Bee and Yugito Nii.
"Yo-ho-ho, bro! What the heck is goin' on?" Killer Bee inquired.
Meanwhile, Yugito gracefully knelt, offering her arm to assist A. However, he abruptly spun away, pushing himself to his feet, his glare fixed on Daiki. "Raikage-sama, are you alright?" she questioned.
Ah, it seemed the playful sparring had reached its conclusion.
_____________
Concurrently, a certain clone reclined upon a modest single bed within a sparsely furnished room, an amused smirk playing on his lips. "I never pictured her as the pink and lacy type," Daiki mused, idly twirling a pink, lacy thong upon a single finger.
Now, how much longer would he be required to wait here until his original counterpart concluded his own amusements?
