Kyrian continued his training in spiritual forging, finding parallels between it and cultivation. He also advanced in the alchemy competition, reaching the finals. Later, he faced an opponent at the eighth stage of the Core Formation Realm, but chose to suppress his cultivation to the Qi Liberation Realm to test his limits and consolidate his Third Mirror Eye.

His body disappeared.

’Whoosh!’

A current of wind exploded across the arena, the air distorting with the speed of the movement. In the next instant, he was already in front of Kyrian, the dagger descending in a precise arc.

’Fshhh!’

A blade of wind sliced through the air so fast that many spectators could barely follow it.

Kyrian tilted his head, and the blade passed by his face, so close that he felt the wind against his skin. He had seen everything, not only the attack but also the movement of the shoulder, the rotation of the wrist, the trajectory of the blade, the shift in the center of gravity, and the next step. Everything was clearly exposed before his violet eyes.

Kyrian retreated, his feet sliding across the arena floor. The young man advanced again, faster, much faster.

’Whoosh!’

Another blade, another attack. Another, another, another. The arena was quickly filled with currents of wind that sliced through the air like invisible razors.

Kyrian began to respond, the Qi of Lightning coursing through his meridians. His entire body was enveloped by small violet discharges, strands of electricity that increased his speed and reaction.

’Zzzzt!’

His speed increased, but it was still not enough to completely surpass his opponent, and that was exactly what Kyrian wanted. A difficult battle, in which every mistake would have consequences, in which every movement needed to be perfect.

Five minutes passed, the fight becoming a spectacle of speed. To many spectators, the two were merely shadows, a green blur, a violet flash, colliding and separating at a frantic pace.

The young man was becoming irritated, his frustration growing with every attack Kyrian dodged. No matter how many times he attacked, no matter how many routes he closed off, Kyrian always found an opening, always escaped by a hair’s breadth.

Until the young man took a deep breath, his presence changing. The Wind Qi around him intensified, becoming denser, sharper.

"Then let’s see if you can keep dodging this."

The Qi exploded, and the dagger disappeared. Not literally, but its speed became so extreme that many could not even follow it.

Kyrian saw it. His eyes recorded every detail, every nuance, every movement. But this time, he could not completely avoid it.

The blade passed by his neck, and Kyrian tilted his body at the last instant.

’Slash!’

The dagger tore through his sleeve and opened a deep cut on his arm, blood running down in a red stream that fell onto the arena.

The young man appeared behind him, the tip of the dagger stopping a few centimeters from his throat.

The referee raised his hand, his voice echoing throughout the arena.

’Victory!’

The audience exploded into applause and cheers, the energy of the crowd filling the air.

Kyrian looked at the blood on his arm, the wound burning with a sharp pain. Then he smiled. There was no frustration, no anger. Only satisfaction.

Because, in that instant, he felt it. The Third Mirror Eye was different, more stable, more solid, and more integrated into his meridian system.

The foundation had been completely consolidated, every imperfection corrected, and every instability eliminated.

Peak Qi Accumulation Realm. Now, all that remained was to advance.

Kyrian wiped the blood away with a piece of cloth, his movements calm and precise. He sheathed the saber, the metal sliding back into the sheath with a satisfying click. Then he left the arena.

Some spectators shouted, while others called him arrogant. Some said he had wasted an easy victory, that he had lost out of sheer stubbornness.

Kyrian did not care. They did not need to understand. Losing that battle did not mean he was weaker; it simply meant he had chosen not to use his true strength. And, to him, achieving his objective was worth far more than an easy victory.

As he walked toward the last competition of the day, Kyrian looked at the sky of the Sky Caravan, at the clouds slowly floating above the flying city. A small smile appeared on his lips.

Now he was ready to attempt a breakthrough. The Third Mirror Eye had reached its limit, and the next stage awaited him.

Kyrian took a deep breath, feeling the energy flow through his body, each dantian pulsing in harmony.

Without wasting any more time, he left the battle area and headed toward the enormous hall where the third comprehension test would take place.

The Festival continued bustling around him, but Kyrian paid little attention to the stalls, vendors, or groups of cultivators discussing the competitions. His mind was focused on the next challenge.

When he arrived at the hall, he immediately noticed that the number of participants had decreased drastically.

Of the five hundred cultivators who had advanced to the second phase, only one hundred remained.

One hundred tables. One hundred competitors.

And, judging by the silent atmosphere and the expressions of the participants, Kyrian had the impression that this would be a completely different test from the previous ones.

He found his place and sat down.

Shortly afterward, the elder responsible for the competition appeared once again at the center of the hall.

This time, however, he did not waste time on lengthy explanations.

The third technique was revealed.

Kyrian carefully studied every principle presented before him, absorbing the information while trying to understand the logic hidden behind the technique.

It was far more complex than the previous two.

The principles were interconnected in an extremely profound way, and a small misinterpretation in one part could compromise all subsequent understanding.

Kyrian observed the other participants.

Some had already begun to furrow their brows deeply.

Others remained motionless for long periods, apparently stuck on one of the initial concepts.

One of them even closed his eyes and entered meditation, probably trying to reconstruct the technique in his mind.

Kyrian, however, continued advancing.

His talent for comprehending techniques, combined with his eyes and his ability to see Qi flows, allowed him to perceive things that the others had to deduce through countless attempts.

Even so, even for him, that technique required greater attention.

It was not something that could simply be memorized. It had to be understood.

Kyrian spent several minutes analyzing the different principles, connecting each part to the previous ones. When he finally found the central structure of the technique, everything seemed to fall into place.

From that moment onward, the rest became much simpler.

He performed the procedures required by the test with precision, and shortly afterward, confirmation of his success appeared before him.

Kyrian stood up.

Looking around, he realized that very few participants had managed to reach the same point.

His earlier estimate had been correct.

Perhaps only twenty people, or even fewer, would manage to advance this time.

He did not wait to find out how many there would be.

He had already obtained what he wanted.

With that, he left the hall and once again returned to the streets of the Sky Caravan.

The Festival was still in full swing, but Kyrian had only one destination in mind.

Sun Luguo’s workshop.

There was still much to learn about spiritual forging.
