Kyrian deliberately fought with reduced cultivation, drawing attention and speculation. His unusual methods led him to face an elder cultivator skilled in the Water Element. The fight began with Kyrian intentionally lowering his power, surprising his opponent. The old man unleashed a wave of water, which Kyrian countered by slicing through it with a lightning-infused saber strike, impressing the crowd. The elder then covered the arena floor with a layer of water, preparing for the next phase of their battle.

The water began to rise, first to his ankles, then to his knees. An invisible current ran across the surface, its purpose clear, limiting Kyrian’s movements, and reducing his mobility. At the same time, dozens of condensed water blades appeared around him, each one glowing with a bluish light.

They shot forward.

Kyrian did not retreat. His body moved with a precision that bordered on the supernatural, every movement economical and efficient. One blade passed beside his face, so close that he felt the wind against his skin. Another was deflected by his saber, the metal cutting through the water with a sharp sound. A third was avoided by only a few centimeters, his body twisting at the last instant.

His movements were extremely economical, he did not waste energy, did not make unnecessary movements, and did not hesitate. His eyes observed everything, processing every trajectory, every angle, every speed.

A blade came from the left. Kyrian tilted his head, and it passed whistling by.

Another appeared behind him. He spun, and the saber cut through the air, deflecting the attack.

Clang! The technique dissolved into splashes.

Then Kyrian noticed something, the flow of Qi beneath the water. That was what controlled the entire technique, the heart of the system. If he destroyed the point of concentration, the entire structure would collapse.

His eyes found the point, a small spiral of energy hidden beneath the surface.

Kyrian advanced, his feet sliding across the water.

The old man noticed, his eyes widening in alarm.

"No!"

The water exploded upward, a huge wave rising between them like a liquid wall.

Kyrian did not stop. His saber was enveloped by lightning, electricity dancing along the blade in pulsing waves.

An instant later, he slashed.

’BOOOOM!’

The wave was pierced, Kyrian’s saber cutting through the wall of water like a knife through silk. Lightning spread across the entire surface, the electrical energy coursing through the water like a glowing web.

The old man lost control of the technique, staggering backward from the sudden loss of connection.

Kyrian appeared before him, the tip of his saber stopping a few centimeters from his neck. The blade glowed, still sparkling with the last traces of electricity.

Silence.

The elderly man looked at the blade, his eyes traveling across the gleaming metal. Then he looked at Kyrian, a new understanding in his gaze.

For several seconds, he remained motionless, processing what had happened. Finally, he let out a sigh, a sound carrying both resignation and admiration.

"I surrender."

The referee raised his hand, his voice echoing throughout the arena.

"Victory! Kyrian!"

The stands exploded into applause and cheers, the energy of the crowd filling the air. Questions flew from all sides, voices overlapping in a cacophony of curiosity.

"Who is he?!"

"What family did he come from?"

"Why does he fight below his own realm?"

"Does anyone know where he came from?!"

"His special lightning physique must be at least Earth Rank!"

Kyrian sheathed his saber, the metal sliding back into its sheath with a satisfying click. Then it disappeared into his spatial ring. He did not answer anyone, his eyes fixed ahead as he descended from the arena.

As soon as he passed through the gate, several cultivators tried to approach him, their faces filled with unasked questions.

A young man tried to intercept him, his hand extending in a gesture of greeting.

"Brother Kyrian! Wait! Can I ask—"

Kyrian simply walked past him, his expression unchanged.

Another tried to follow him, his steps hurried.

"Do you really belong to some major force? What sect are you from?"

No answer. Kyrian continued walking, his pace unchanged.

He had no interest in turning that competition into a question-and-answer session. His goal had already been accomplished, another battle, another opportunity to test his Third Mirror Eye, another opportunity to consolidate his cultivation.

As he walked, his consciousness briefly sank into his dantian, feeling the stable, compact, obedient Qi. Each battle made his control improve, each confrontation made the third dantian adapt. The peak of the Qi Accumulation Realm was becoming increasingly solid, a foundation that did not waver under pressure.

Kyrian could feel it, there was not much left. If he continued at that pace, he would soon be able to attempt an advancement to the Qi Release Realm. But he was in no hurry. A rushed breakthrough could destroy days of progress, creating cracks in his foundation that would be difficult to repair.

He needed to completely consolidate his foundation before attempting a breakthrough, ensuring that every aspect of his cultivation was perfectly aligned.

His goal was not simply to advance, but to advance perfectly.

Kyrian left the battle area, the sounds of the arenas fading behind him. Ahead, the Festival streets were even more crowded, the midday sun illuminating the enormous structures of the Sky Caravan.

Vendors shouted their prices, cultivators discussed the fights, children ran between adults, and disciples from different sects walked in groups. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with life and energy.

Kyrian, however, was already thinking about the next competition, the comprehension competition. The Secret Technique. He still knew absolutely nothing about it, and that awakened his curiosity in a way that few things could.

What kind of technique could be so valuable as to be classified as a secret technique? Kyrian did not know, but he intended to find out.

He raised his gaze, and the comprehension examination hall was just ahead, a huge circular building surrounded by several formations, its architecture solemn and imposing.

Unlike the battle arenas, there were no shouts coming from inside, only a respectful silence that seemed to emanate from the very walls.

Cultivators entered and exited with different expressions, some seemed confident, others were pale, and some were frantically discussing among themselves.

Kyrian stopped before the entrance. He took a deep breath, feeling the air fill his lungs. His violet gaze became calm, his mind focused on the challenge awaiting him.

The battle was over. Now another kind of challenge was beginning, a challenge that would test not only strength but also what his eyes and mind were capable of comprehending.

Kyrian took a step forward. And entered the hall.

Behind him, the Heavenly Descent Festival continued in full swing. But, for Kyrian, the world had once again been reduced to a single thing, understanding.

Kyrian raised his eyes toward the enormous hall, his violet eyes scanning the ancient inscriptions covering the walls.

"Let’s see what kind of technique you are hiding."
