Kyrian learns that Azhura'k was imprisoned by the ancestors of the Sky Family using a forbidden Command Artifact. Gao Ziyue, the Sky Heir, vows to free Azhura'k once she gains enough power. Kyrian promises to help her when that day comes.

Kyrian remained deep in thought for a few moments, processing everything he had learned. Then another question arose in his mind, a practical issue that needed to be considered.

"But..." He looked at Azhura’k once more, his voice thoughtful.

"What about the Sky Caravan? If she’s set free... everything the Sky Family has built throughout history will disappear. The city will cease to exist."

The implications were immense. Millions of people lived within the Sky Caravan, their lives intertwined with the existence of the floating city. Commerce, culture, power, everything depended upon that monumental structure.

Gao Ziyue remained silent for several seconds, her figure motionless within the darkness. When she finally answered, her voice was calm, yet filled with unwavering conviction.

"I don’t care."

The reply was simple, without the slightest hesitation. There was no doubt in her words, not even a trace of uncertainty.

"We’ve made Azhura’k suffer for thousands upon thousands of years." She gently caressed the enormous golden iris once more, her fingers tracing soft patterns across its radiant surface.

"Compared to that... the disappearance of the city is a very small price to pay."

Kyrian understood. To Gao Ziyue, that creature’s freedom was worth far more than all the glory her family had built. All the wealth, all the power, all the prestige, none of it justified the suffering Azhura’k had endured.

She continued gazing at the eye for several moments, her figure motionless within the darkness. Then she turned toward Kyrian once again, her voice becoming much gentler.

"I’m glad..." She paused briefly, as though carefully choosing her words.

"...that there’s finally someone with whom I can share this pain."

Kyrian merely nodded, a silent gesture of understanding. He understood those words perfectly. Carrying such a secret alone, keeping that pain locked within one’s heart with no one to share it with... it must have been suffocating.

Gao Ziyue seemed about to say something else, her figure leaning ever so slightly toward him.

"Let’s meet..."

Suddenly, the entire world began to tremble.

The darkness rippled like the surface of a lake disturbed by a falling stone. Waves of shadow spread in every direction, distorting the reality of the domain as though space itself were coming apart.

Kyrian’s consciousness grew more and more distant, as though an irresistible force were pulling him away. He tried to remain there, to resist the call dragging him back to his body, back to the waking world.

But it was too late. The transition had already begun, and there was no stopping it.

Everything began to disappear. Azhura’k, her golden iris shining one last time. Gao Ziyue, her shadowy figure dissolving into the darkness. The domain itself, that space between worlds, he had come to know.

Everything faded away like smoke carried by the wind.

...

The very next instant... Kyrian slowly opened his eyes.

His real eyes.

The wooden ceiling came into view, its familiar grain forming patterns he knew well. The gentle morning light streamed through the window, softly illuminating the room with shades of gold and rose. Tiny specks of dust floated through the air, shining like miniature stars beneath the sun’s rays.

He remained lying there for several seconds, his breathing slow and steady as he processed the transition between worlds. His body was well rested, his mind was clear, yet there was a weight in his heart that had not existed before.

He let out a long sigh, his eyes fixed upon the wooden ceiling.

The memory of Gao Ziyue’s final words lingered vividly in his mind, an echo he knew he would never forget.

"Let’s meet..."

Did she intend to meet him outside that domain? In the real world? Kyrian pondered the implications. A meeting between the Sky Heir and an unknown cultivator would undoubtedly attract attention, perhaps leading to questions neither of them wished to answer.

Kyrian gently shook his head, dismissing the thoughts. There was no point in trying to figure it out now. That night... they would probably meet again within the domain, and then he could ask her.

He rose from the bed, his movements slow and deliberate. His feet touched the cool wooden floor, and he stretched his arms above his head, feeling his muscles loosen.

He made his way to the small kitchen, where the morning light had already begun to pour through the windows. He slowly heated water over a small spiritual furnace, the flames crackling softly as the temperature rose.

He prepared a cup of tea using spiritual herbs that helped calm the mind. Their aroma spread throughout the room, familiar and comforting.

While drinking, he walked over to the window, his fingers wrapped around the warm cup.

His gaze swept across the entire Sky Caravan. The streets were already filling with people, merchants opening their stalls, cultivators making their way toward their daily activities. The distant sounds of commerce and conversation rose like a constant hum.

Just a few days ago, that city had seemed perfect. A wonder built upon a guardian beast that protected countless lives. A symbol of power and prosperity, a destination cultivators from all over the world dreamed of visiting.

Now... everything seemed different.

Beneath those bustling streets, beneath those colorful markets, beneath that enormous city stretching as far as the eye could see... there lay a creature that had been chained for thousands of years. A prisoner bearing the weight of ages upon her shoulders, suffering in silence while millions lived upon her back.

Kyrian could no longer see the Sky Caravan the same way. Not even the Sky Family, whom he had once viewed simply as a powerful family, looked the same anymore, a lineage built upon slavery and suffering.

Even so... he also understood his own reality. He was far too weak. With his current strength, he could not change anything at all. No matter how unwavering his determination was, the power required to stand against the Sky Family still lay far beyond his reach.

He finished the last sip of tea, the warm liquid flowing down his throat. He placed the cup upon the table, the sound of porcelain against wood echoing through the quiet room.

Then he left the small courtyard, closing the gate behind him.

The streets of the Caravan were coming alive once more with the beginning of a new day. The colors, the sounds, the scents, everything was familiar, everything vibrant. And beneath it all lay the suffering of an ancient creature.

Kyrian calmly walked toward the city’s exit. His steps were steady, his expression serene. The world around him remained the same, but he had changed.

It was time to return to the alchemy competition. The second stage awaited him, and he could not afford to be distracted.

Regardless of the truths he had uncovered that night, regardless of the promises he had made, his path remained unchanged.

To become stronger and stronger. To advance step by step. To surpass his limits, to grow beyond what seemed possible.

Only then, one day, would he possess the strength to turn those truths into reality.

The Sky Caravan was alive all around him, and Kyrian walked through it with a new purpose in his heart.
